“The repair was completed without fuss and the price was reasonable”

“Technician was in the house less than 10 minutes. Used a turkey baster and warm water to unblock a small drain at the back of the fridge. “That will be £83.40 including the Vat “. That’s nearly £500 per hour. What a joke. Certainly won’t be using your company again unless there’s a very good reason for this excessive charge or a significant refund.”

As a family-run business customer feedback is vital to the longevity of our business and we strive to meet our customers expectations and, where possible, exceed them. We have a very transparent pricing structure so our customers know exactly how much our service will cost. Our one-off labour charge means you'll pay no more than that for our time whether we spend 10 minutes or 10 hours. In your case the engineer was able to get your appliance back up and running in a short period of time. We understand you may not have felt that we have an "excessive charge" if we had taken our time and spent an hour to do the same thing like many other companies will for false pretences. “Glotech turned up as arranged and the engineer knew what he was doing. The only improvement would be to confirm a shorter slot on the day ie 2 hours, or text an hour before arrival.”

“I have been unable to get the repair done, and emails have been sent and received, although I am awaiting a reply to one I sent 3 days ago. The problem is that DM Appliance Care have not been able to identify the small part that is missing from the photographs I have emailed to them. It is a small circular disc that should hold one of the prongs on the left hand internal wire structure that holds the shelves in place. I think they do not have access to a Neff parts list, and the solution has been made more difficult by their inability when they sent me pictures of parts asking me to say which one is needed. In my last email I told them "I will pay their I will be prepared to pay your call-out fee if you will assure me that it will be cancelled if the engineer is unable to mend the fault", but there has been no reply.”

“The engineer was in and out in less than 10 mins, he flicked the power switch on and off a few times, told me the compressor was gone, calculated it would cost me over £500 to repair, took my £80 payment and left . Very efficient - I just didn't like the bad news.”
