I did write. Yr service man came took a temp repute of freezer after few minutes said u have a gas leakage can u not hear the sound. Buy a new one. My problem was freezing in fridge. Any way I bought a new fridge freezer

I phoned them to ask for someone to repair a washing machine which wasn't drying due to the drier not drying - no heat. When the service man arrived at about 9.20am, the first thing he said was - 'Did they tell you this would cost £81?' - I was astonished. Not only had I not been warned of the cost, but he only spent a brief 10 minutes here. However, I did pay him as I thought a refusal might result in argument and unpleasantness. But I would like to think there might be some (at least partial) refund forthcoming. Had I known in advance, as implied by the technician, I would have refused the visit.

Good afternoon - It is disappointing when a customer is not happy with the service and value for money, all of our team are trained to provide the cost upfront on every phone call I will ask our customer service manager to retrieve the call for your booking and investigate thoroughly - in relation to the time the engineer spends at the property he is allocated enough time to fully diagnose and if possible complete a first time fix for you. during the time allocated we could not book for another customer. I understand you have also emailed team and had a response from the team - Sorry to hear you were not happy with our service. The fault reported over the phone was that your Washer dryer was not drying, on attending the engineer has diagnosed that the thermostat had tripped, this was reset and looking at the system the appliance should be working ok. If this is not the case, we can look at rebooking an engineer to attend and look at the appliance again for you. The fixed labour fee of £81.54 covers the initial diagnoses and further visits if required - any parts would have been an additional cost to this. I will however pass you feedback to the management team and investigate the phone call for the pricing which you should have been provided on the call.

The first person who called to assess the problem told me that the seal was broken, which it was, and that was causing the problem. A new one was ordered and fitted by a different man, who, although very nice, didn’t check that the machine was fixed. It wasn’t. Another visit was arranged and I was told that the circuit board was no doubt the issue. I decided to replace the dishwasher rather than spend more money on it.

It transpired that our unit had been switched off at the mains plug on the wall. We should have checked this but I would certainly think the engineer would look to see if there was an issue at the mains too and would have seen this was the issue. It was only when someone else came into try and assist that this was noticed.

You website said fully stocked vehicle not the case came in a small car with a little tool bag walked in condemned the larder fridge with in 2 minutes of walking in the guy was friendly. Expensive call out at over £80 for a 2 minute visit.

Good morning, looking at your booking you had a very experienced engineer who has assisted Glotech during the busiest times to ensure that we can attend as many requests as possible especially so close to Christmas which is one of the busiest time in the year. With his experience he was able to quickly identify that the appliance had damaged insulation and the compressor over heated therefore the appliance would be deemed as Beyond economical repair. We do understand that this can be very frustrating when an appliance is unrepairable however however the cost of an fully qualified and experienced engineer and a timely diagnosis cannot be undervalued . I would however like to still thank you for taking the time to review for us as all feedback is valuable to us. We wish you well with your replacement appliance.

Engineer was lovely - however the phone line and the operation of the phone was tragic. Its worse that sitting in the queue for the doctors. 9th in line?!!? Definitely need some more phone operators. Line kept cutting out (lady admitted phone line was bad) I called back. 6th in line! Lady said that she would call back at 4:30pm to check if appointment could be changed. Never got a call back. If it was me, I wouldn't use the service again. Landlord booked with you.

Did a good job but cost £160 for an hour for 2 appliances so not value for money as there were minor faults and no parts required

I have a problem with my Hotpoint fridge/freezer, making a ticking noise. The engineer who came had been before when I reported it to a local firm. He did not solve the problem then. I chose a different firm this time, but the same man arrived. He examined my appliance, adjusted a couple of things, and assured me it was not a fire risk as I was worried about that. However, the ticking is still there, albeit not as much. In an open-plan lounge/kitchen, it is annoying to keep hearing the tick. The engineer was very pleasant and tried his best to ease my worries, but I still have an appliance which ticks.

Unfortunately, your engineer could not mend our CDA fridge. It hurts when you have to pay to find out your fridge is unrepairable.

Asked for an afternoon visit as had an appointment in the morning was contacted by phone and told they could only come in the morning I would have been back for 12:00 Di was very unhappy that the engineer didn’t arrive until 12:20 I am still trying to work out how a morning appointment is 8:00 to 13:00 but an afternoon appointment is 12:00 until 17:00 Never heard such rubbish and after all that all the parts weren’t in stock and he told us to buy a new one and charged us £85 WONDERFUL

The technician arrived in good time and took only a couple of minutes to identify the problem with our Zanussi washing machine: a band joining two pullies had broken. It took him a few minutes more to find that Zanussi no longer supply this spare part. e suggested we try an elastic band. We did and it does not work. The band is made by Megadyne. We have tried to find it on their website without success so far. So we paid £80 for advice but no solution to our problem.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear your washer dryer has not been repaired due to the parts being unavailable. I have taken another look to see if there is any alternatives available but unfortunately there are not. I am afraid that until the engineer attends to diagnose the exact part needed we were unable to see if this part was available. Sorry for any inconvenience this may have caused. Many thanks Glotech

Today i had a chap come over to look at my washing machine drainage issue, after 30 minutes he stated he fixed the issue and stated all good. I noticed lots of water at the bottom, so he stated it just needs wiping up. i wiped up and left it for 10 mins. i come back more water and when i opened the front flap, the drain pipe is not where it should be. it's been placed inside of the washing machine. i called customer service and the engineer, engineer does nto answer and the customer service states the engineer has finished and will not be able to come back. they have now stated its a few days until they get the engineer back. I am hoping they do return int he next days as this is not great to be honest.

It is hard to write a review of Glotech Repairs as they did not actually carry out a repair. I submitted the model and age of my broken washing machine and described the problem, however when the engineer called to say he was on his way he was expecting to be mending a dishwasher. Once he arrived and asked me what the problem was, I was told there would be no point fixing the machine owing to its age and the nature of the problem - I might as well buy a new one. He told me this before he had even seen the machine so presumably the same conclusion could have been reached from the information I submitted on my booking form. I therefore paid £81 (callout price of £67.50 does not include VAT) for someone to be in my house for less than five minutes. I was impressed that they were able to get an engineer out to me so quickly (within 24 hours) but frustrated that he arrived during the only hour of my day that I said I could not be available. Glotech were very helpful in offering to replace my machine with a suitable substitute, however, I found the same model at £30 less two days before they contacted me with the suggested replacement.

Good afternoon, Thank you for your review. I apologise that we were unable to repair your appliance and the engineer attended at an unsuitable time for you. All the information on our system explains that this was a washing machine so the engineer would have been aware of this. The notes he has left advise that he checked the machine and found the drum bearing had gone and the board was possible faulty. I am sorry that this was not advised over the phone or before the appointment. We do not offer a pre-diagnosis service as all of our engineers are out on the road and the majority of the time, faults can be caused by various reasons. With regards to a new replacement appliance. We always try to be competitive on price but unfortunately being a small family business we are not always able to compete with larger companies and the margins they have for discounts and prices. Everything was very efficient from the booking system to the arrival of the electrician. However very disappointing to have paid over £90 for a visit only to be told that the appliance was not repairable.

Geotechnical couldn’t provide a fitter the next day (Monday) after I’d booked on line. They booked one for the Tuesday instead ,when I wasn’t available and followed up with a phone call at 7.30am Monday morning. I rearranged it for the Thursday but they still sent a fitter on Tuesday then cancelled my Thursday appointment as I wasn’t home! Luckily they sent an email informing me I wasn’t in so could contact them and after a good argument with the booking clerk they reinstated the Thursday appointment. The fitter who attended was on time + very good.

It is disappointing that you did not receive the standard of service that Glotech aims to offer all of our customers and it would appear that this was a mixture of system booking error and then human error for which we can only apologise for the inconvenience and disruption this caused. we are however really pleased that the outcome and the engineer attending was able to uphold the customer service for us. - thank you again.
