We used Glotech repairs for our dishwasher repair. Their staff, before entering the house said “I will charge you £94.50 even if I repair it or not.” The device’s trouble shooting book was showing “anti flood device on”. To my understanding, it could be repaired within minutes, but their staff said it needs changing a part and need another visit, £45 for the part and again £94 as his charge. So we decided to buy a new dishwasher, he took £94.50 without basically doing anything!

BEWARE! I received a good service with booking an engineer, and had a visit 2 days later. Then things went downhill I was told that the parts i needed were on a 4 week lead time, which was not a major problem so i paid the £93 visit fee I then received an email from Ben saying the parts were now obsolete so they were no longer able to help I soon found this to be lies, an online search found "Ransom parts" confirmed these parts were available and in stock I emailed Ben to inform him of my disappointment and received no reply So as soon as you pay for your service call out they will lie to you about parts not being available PLEASE DO NOT PAY UP FRONT

Having a very bad experience with glotech, My freezer was not working, saw the company did Same day and next day appointments so booked the appointment for the next day. So booked online for a Tuesday appointment, Then get an email saying appointment has been scheduled to Thursday. I called in explaining my freezer is not working I have food in there going off but they said they didn’t have an engineer till Thursday in the area, so I accepted that. Engineer attended on the Thursday opened and closed the freezer for a couple Of times and told me it was the door installation that was faulty and needed brackets at the top to anchor the freezer to the door when it closes properly, so asked him “will it be fixed today?” He said no he didn’t have the part and was there to do the diagnosis solely but would order the part. He charged me £93.54 and told me they would order the part and I would get a call for the install. The following week rolled around and I had no update so on Monday I rang in and enquired what was happening, apparently the part they needed from the manufacturer wasn’t readily available and so they were trying to source it. The lady on the phone was very nice and understanding and said she would get me an update by the close of play Monday ideally or Tuesday at the latest. It’s now Friday and I have just called in to check why I haven’t had an update or any communication as I had been promised. Apparently they still can’t source the part, and when I intimated that I could’ve at least been updated with that as I’ve been promised, the lady told me well we didn’t have anything to update you with so “we will let you know when we know”!!! I then made it clear that if I don’t get anything back by the end of today let’s say, then I will be calling in to get a refund on my money, at which point the lady stated that they do not refund the labour charge it’s nonrefundable, which I find mind-boggling since I have not had the benefit of any labour other than somebody coming and opening and closing the freezer door four or five times. Apparently that labour is worth £93.50. I made it clear to the lady that actually all I want is a solution for my freezer problem which is why I initially went to glotech, however if they can’t fix it within a reasonable time, so I’ll give him till tomorrow morning to at least tell me definitively when that will happen, then I will be getting my refund back even if I have to go through small claims cause this is ridiculous. I will update this review as the situation unfolds. I understand sometimes finding parts from specific manufacturers can be a problem but that’s why I engaged the services of a company like glotech presuming that they would be able to do that. But my biggest gripe here is the total lack of communication and the assumption that I’m just going to have paid that money across and sit here without any communications letting it roll on indefinitely.

I had a doctors emergency so I asked the engineer to confirm if he could just reduce the appointment window by 30 minutes. He was completely uncooperative saying I need to be home 12-5, and can't reduce the window to 12:30 - 5. I had to run back home from the hospital (I'm 30 weeks pregnant) just to make it here in time for the 12-5 window and the guy never came! No call, no message nothing. Is this the service you provide? I would give 0 starts if that was possible.

We had a problem with the washing machine as it was not draining the water. After checking the obvious things, filter and drain pipe we decided to call for an engineer. We explained the problem and Bill was very polite and gave us various options to try. He was not annoyed at the fact we called 3 times, he was extremely pleasant and helpful! I am so grateful for his honesty and service, he was outstanding!! He could have easily had us book an appointment and pay unnecessary charges. It all just goes to show there are still good tradesmen out there and I will definitely refer to him and refer others to him in the future.. All I can say that based my experience and support received today, I fully recommend this company and their services.

I booked this company to repair my washing machine. They charged me £70 plus for a callout charge. The person came around, stayed for a few minutes went away and 15 minutes later the machine stopped with the same problem that this company was called out to repair. As pensioners on as state pension this is not funny. They just care about the money and not the job or the people they deal with. Discusting.

Website provides utterly false info on availability of engineer. Website allowed me to book engineer for next day. Now contacted by phone today engineer not available for 9 days! Even though website is still showing availability in 2 days. If they can't get their website/booking process right, not sure I trust them with my repair. Going somewhere else.

Repairs carried out no problem. Call out price excessive £100+ Visit only lasted 30mins I understand travelling time needs to be paid for but still seems excessive

Easy to book, turned up on time and the guy was friendly and polite. Had booked glotech for an issue with my bell fridge freezer, the engineer came out and after a few minutes conversation told my wife he thought the compressor was gone and we needed a new fridge freezer. He then charged £90 for a few minutes of conversation! Didn’t examine the fridge or make any attempts to do any work, didn’t pull the fridge out to test the compressor or his theory and even the engineer said we should call up for some money back. Rang the next day which was a Saturday to be told I would need to speak with a manager who wasn’t in on weekends but the caller handler took all may details and emailed the manager and stated I would get a call back on Monday, not had a call all week. Under the circumstances I think the service has been poor, once they have your money they are clearly not interested. The engineer was a nice guy and his advice may be spot on but £90 for a few minutes conversation seems obscene! When booking I was told I would receive a phone call prior to my appointment but I never did, I can’t help but think if the engineer had called prior to arrival I would of had the same result without the need for a visit that would cost £90. Then to add insult to injury glotech send emails telling me they hope my fridge freezer is working well again and would I like to review their service when no attempt to fix the issue was even made!

Appalling customer service. I wrote to the director of this company and still await a reply. They are misleading.They subcontract repair work and are not involved in the payment or aftercare.

I have had a look on our system to view your details and can see that we did use a subcontractor for your visit as we do not have any Glotech engineers to cover your area, so we were unaware of any issues which have arose. The SAGA continues.the engineer who was supposed to come yesterday didn't and rebooked for today.he didn't call first but turned up about 11 am.great? No .he turned up Without the parts to fix oven.left them in another van.said would take about 1 hour to get to Van and then come back at 4 pm. I thought my maths was bad! Anyway it is now 7 pm and nobody has arrived! What a joke company NEVER USE THIS COMPANY Further instalments tomorrow

Came a number of times to try to fix my dishwasher, 4 visits in total from 2 different technicians. Incorrectly fitted parts meant they have they broke immediately. Technician was poorly equipped, asking me for towels, sponges etc and also flooded one of our cupboards and damaged a kitchen door. In fairness the parts were refunded promptly but I was left with a broken dishwasher and out of pocket for the labour cost.

I haven’t seen such a low quality, low standards technician yet. Be careful about their ‘policies’ which are designed to fleece customers. I was looking to get my old washer dryer fixed. At the time of booking a repair they oversold their technical expertise to us. When they came in for repairs all they did was remove lint from the drains and left the machine in the same condition as before. I was charged £86 for it. When I challenged them they turned around and pointed to their policy which did not require them to do anything other than to pay a visit and look at the fault and not necessarily fix it. Don’t bother with these guys, you are better off investing that money buying a new machine.

Booked appointment to repair fridge freezer. Engineer came said needed new thermostat however when we phoned told problems getting part. Phoned on a number of occasions and spoke to both companies. Often did not call back and only answered emails after I sent 2 or 3. Eventually made other arrangements asked for refund which was refused by yourselves an Kent Appliance World. Kent Appliance World quoted £70 for part. Part available on Zanussi website for around £30. Very dissatisfied lack of communications and customer care all round. Will not use again

Engineer came look at fridge as I reported I Had a leak on the bottom left corner, he looked in the fridge said Nothing wrong after less than 5 minutes, I charged me over 112£ Called company back as leak continued, engineer come the next week pulled out the fridge, daisy Had a leak in the pipe, that he does not fix this, & I had to get a ply. Called on outside plumber? He replaced a small washer at the bottom of the fridge in the back, no Leak in the pipe, I called the company explaining the situation, while they were sorry could not refund the full amount as it was their call out charge, but they offered me 12£ Not happy with the service at all. Would not trcommend

Excellent service. Very prompt arrangement of appointment on line, and very easy to book. Service Engineer Alex kept us informed and phoned to confirm arrival time, well within the time slot advised. Very efficient diagnosis of the machine fault and repaired loose connection to cure the fault with the non-functioning washer/dryer heater. Would recommend Glotech in future. Many thanks.
