Awful company, my monthly insurance payment is usually £56. It went up to £202 for one of the months because my score went below 40. However when I rang up and enquired about this, the lady on the phone by the name of Kerrin said usually they send a warning email to let you know that if your score goes any lower then you will be charged as a penalty. *I never received this email. Kerrin even checked. When I asked for compensation of any sort Kerrin said there was nothing she could do and hung up.

Absolute joke of a company I had insurance open with them and wanted to purchase a new car, they said they couldn’t insure me on the car I wanted but cancelling the insurance was free!! So purchased the new car and cancelled the insurance they then informed me that there would be a £38 charge for cancelling it. I cancelled it lost the £150 deposit and £38 charge to then find out that they would insure me with my new car if I open it up again! I stupidly done this paid another £150 deposit. Now they are trying to charge me admin fees for forgetting to send proof of no claims! So far in 2 months this company has taken over £300 of me!! Absolutely disgusting.

Wisedriving insurance is the very worst. They offered cover for just over 620 pounds/year; i changed my mind about insuring with them and informed them of cancellation via email less that 14 days. They instead have deferred the cancellation notification date by more than 2 weeks and are charging for said timeframe. and refunding less than 2/3 of the money paid.

I am working with this company for 2 years. I was happy until today. My insurance otomaticly renew by them and let me know by email. I wouldn’t have time to contact to them as I was working full time and couldn’t find a chance to call them back to tell them I changed my adress. Anyway I spoked to call center today . I told them I moved to Manchester from Essex. They said I should pay extra £450 becouse of changes adress policy. Just renewed my policy 3 days ago !!!! I have been driving more miles before, and it was more closer the London. I was expecting more less costing. They are only charging me becouse of I am changing my adress after renewing the policy!!! This is not acceptable !!! Also call center personal from Africa and line is always cutting, accents very difficult to understanding, I am so annoyed.

Hi Hilal, As the insurance broker, we are unable to confirm the way in which a mid-term adjustment quote is calculated by the insurer. However, I am able to confirm that at the time of generating a mid-term adjustment quote a number of factors are taken into account by the insurer which will determine the best price available, this would include, but may not be limited to, driving history, age, vehicle type and area. Should an individual or combination of these factors be deemed a higher risk by the insurer at the time of providing the quote, this will have an impact on the premium that is offered. It can also result in the insurer being unable to offer a mid-term adjustment quote. The quote calculated is based on the insurer rates applicable at the time of the mid-term adjustment quote being obtained, and are therefore variable on a regular basis. Thanks for the review, we take our customer service seriously and will take all feedback on board. Many Thanks, Kathryn.

Wisedriving is a scam and dishonest company. All their teams and conditions are only suitable for them not for the customers . After 5th day, buying the policy I went on the road and I been stopped by the police and I been told that you vehicle is not even insured. After such a big trouble in front of children and family I managed to satisfy police officer that I bought the insurance policy about a week ago . I been advised by the police to ask the insurers why they don’t put my registration number in police database. Next morning I called them and asked them their answer was that according to terms and conditions they will do it after 7 days. It’s mean after purchasing policy with them people have to wait 7 days to go on the road. It’s really very bad, discusting don’t recommend for anyone

It’s a dagey company. I bought fully comprehensive Inshurance through confuse.com quote. It was not conditional. After buying I get to know that I need to put a black box in my car which I don’t want. So second day I called there was no respond thence it was weekend they were closed then I email them that I don’t want it and ask for help what to do cancel it or what no response from them . So on Monday I called them and ask them that I don’t want black box in my car so what is the option can I cancel the policy they said no if you cancel you have to pay £75 which was quite greedy because with all other expenses you can cancel with in 14 days. Also the lady on the phone was very very rude. She left me with no choice to wait a year. I don’t recommend this company for any friend or any member of public because no one wants to be watched while driving and end of the day they share your information if it’s bad due to black box .

Do NOT go with this company. My driving is very good and I never accelerate too hard. The first 2 months of my policy I received £300 for good driving. Recently I got an email saying my driving would be reviewed and since then conveniently my acceleration has been an 0, leading to my score decreasing by 14 points. They now want £150 from me for ‘bad driving’ and when rang they do nothing about it. Disgusting.

Afternoon, We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with your policy. If your score decreases by 10 points or more, an additional premium may apply. You have had the benefit of receiving refunds from us, because your score increased by 10 points or more. We make it clear before you take up the policy, you may receive refunds or additional premiums based on your driving score. The data we use to calculate your score is from the box in your vehicle only. By logging onto your personal Dashboard, you can see on what days/journeys your score has been affected. This may help you see why your score has changed. Many thanks, Holly

Morning, We are sorry to hear you are unhappy with your policy. We do ask that you declare your annual mileage and if you do need to add more, there is a charge to do so. There is no set amount to increase mileage, as this is determined by your insurer and they will take into account how many miles you have done so far, how many you want to add and your driving behavior score to date. Many thanks, Holly

Utterly awful customer service, increased premium by £550 AFTER the cooling off period then tried to charge £75 cancellation fee when cannot afford the premium, amended a finance agreement without telling me first. Honestly the worst customer service from a colleague called Miraj too, so condescending, unhelpful, wouldn’t allow us to speak to a manager.

Wisedriving - dishonest scammers Wisedriving claim that, should you pay them £120 for the insertion of a 'black box,' your driving record will ensure lower insurance prices. This is palpable nonsense and Wisedriving know it. I have been with the company for three years and achieved a 93% 'excellent' driving record. In the second year, the company added an extra £300 to my insurance costs. This year they added an additional £400. It amounts to annual increases of 35%. The black box, by the way, costs £120 and you pay an annual fee of £90 for it. Don't bother asking why I should be facing annual increases of 35%. Customer services amounts to a computer-like repetition of: 'We are a brokers. The prices are set by the underwriter.' True ... but not helpful. There is not even an attempt to talk through measures that might lower the rate. Don't ask either anything about the insurance company that underwrites the policy. I did and the operative hung up. As far as I can make out, Wisdedrivng is operating a scam. It is dishonest - even by the dismal standards of the insurance industry. I strongly recommend you shop elsewhere for your motoring insurance. I did and I found a price that was considerably less than half the price demanded by Wisedriving.
