Extremely bad service. They require us to pay excessive fees that are not actually needed. I will never choose this company ever again.

Hi, The charges that have been applied were clearly stated within our terms and conditions that you agreed to when taking the policy up. You can find our fees under section 4 and 5 of our terms and conditions. We provide all of the information you need to make an informed decision based on your needs on whether this policy is right for you. Yours Sincerely, Jamie

Please know the payment premium increments from the black box assessment reports has no upper limit, meaning they can continue to increase as long as the company wants and remember you cant cancel anymore because you have been tied into the policy with a "fake" credit facility (investigate). They will charge you admin and insurance fees even if you cancel within the statutory cooling off period of 14 day (illegal by the way). Finally, you have no say or appeals available to you on how the black box reports are interpreted, only the firm has the total oversight on that. This are my findings. smells like rip-off company, but of course, you decide!

Hi, The WiseDriving policy puts the customer in control, it is based on your driving, if your driving is good you can see a reduction in premium, however, if your score decreases then you can see an additional charge. It is dependent on you as a driver and how you drive. When generating a quote online you are provided with the below information "If you drive well, you can earn reduced premiums and pay less every month! If you drive badly, your premium may go up" On page 4 of the terms and conditions, it states " We may adjust your premium on a monthly basis during the policy term to reflect how you are driving. This may result in either a reduction or an additional charge." You can cancel your policy at any time. Wisedriving does not prevent customers from cancelling their policies, all fees that would apply are outlined on page 4 & 5 of your terms and conditions on what charges would apply. We provide all the information you need to make an informed decision based on your needs on whether this policy is right for you. Yours Sincerely, Jamie

Customer services -Very poor communication. My experience with staff from customer services is lack of proper conversation abilities- patronising when speaking to customers and passive aggressiveness. This review is based on 4 occasions I called wise driving wanting help with installing the telematics device. 1 star is more than generous- I do not recommend!

My son cancelled his renewal as we decided to go with a family policy elsewhere. He emailed wisedrive to tell them that this was what he was doing, and thanked them for there policy over the last year. Since then we have had letters through the post saying that he owes money and more recently letters threatening agency collection. My son suffers with his mental health and this has become a very stressful situation. As his mother I decided this week to finally deal with this myself after he had already proved by email that he cancelled the policy and they actually owe him not the other way around. I spoke to a lady who wasn’t able to help but promised a manager called Hazel would call me back that day ( fri 29th may) or if not definitely the day after ...... no one has called!!! I very upset, let down and frustrated. I would NOT recommended this company as there customer service is appalling! I will be contacting trading standards next week to take this matter further!

Cancelled my insurance after i contacted the company to advise i did not have the tools to fit the black box, I was advised they would speak to the insurers and a manager will come back to me but no one did and they cancelled the insurance. I did not receive a refund or partial refund for the black box that i had paid for which was unused. I paid for a months insurance which was cancelled after a short time and received no money back. I find the treatment unprofessional and unjust, I believe this company is purely about revenue and no care for the customer. The reviews I have subsequently read, are very similar to the treatment i have received, they made mistakes and stated as much but still kept my money. I now have a black box which is of no use to me and i am approx £200 down, i advised them i would send it back which they refused. Ridiculous! Will advise others of my experience and advise not to use this company unless they want to be treated in this way. I will never use this company again

So I asked for my NCB proof at the end of my policy and i wsa due to get 3 years NCB however when i recieved the proof, Wisedriving told me i had 0 years NCB. I had an accident during the year however it was not affected as i was not at fault and third party driver admitted it was their fault so i claimed off there insurance. Wise driving fix it up or i'll be taking you to court i have proof of insurance statements before my renewal stating i had 2 years.

Seem to only have contact once in a blue moon rather then constant driving reviews. When I first took the insurance out I told them the box wouldn't fit onto the battery, that told me it would be fine, I fitted it incorrectly but still it was how I was advised, then my box wasnt connected for months without my knowledge and then I was treated with cancellation. Also I pay £70 per month yet my price has shot up £100 becasue my drivers score has gone up, I'm a self employed car valeter and with covid 19 I have 0 business and no income, it may be a game to insurance company's but to me it's a process that cripples my business rendering the past year of incredibly hard work into a failed business. Only renewed becasue of the cheap monthly price, knowing it would have gone up I'd have binned this black box off, also I may add I've noticed things like bad breaking scores come up yet dont realise that comes up from peiple pulling out and stepping out on front of the car. Too many things about black box driving has driven me up the wall, I was taught to get upti speed quick to help keep the flow of traffic, yet apparently this is seen as reckless driving. These black boxes are simpley made for people who have just past there test and drive incredibly slow, I dont condone bad driving but it seems the reality of driving is different to the idea in the boxes head.

I beg anyone reading this review to please chose another company. I've had nothing but trouble with this company. They will find any excuse to get any more money out of you they can. If another policy is even another £100 for the year, pick the other policy, you trust me you will not regret it. I'd just like to mention I'm not the kind of person to ever leave a review and I'd honestly like to say 90% of the reviews I do ever write are positive but I felt I had to warn people. Please save your money, pick another company.

Terrible company and rude staff. If you cancel within 14 days you get a £75 charge fee which is ridiculously high. I wish I`d never signed for the insurance and I will never recommend it to anyone.

Hi Antioco, We’re sorry to read of your unfortunate experience with our customer service team and we have made the relevant teams aware. The cancellation fee of £75.00 is in our terms and conditions. When taking up a policy it states; "By clicking continue, you accept the assumptions as listed above, our Terms and Conditions which include full details of our charges and our Privacy Notice which explains how we protect and use your information." To have proceeded with the quote, you would have needed to click the button 'Accept & Continue'. You can find our fees under section 4 of our terms and conditions; it states the following: "Your policy is a contract for 12 months. If your insurance is cancelled for any reason you will be charged £75.00 in addition to the charge made by your insurer for the cover you have received." Yours Sincerely, Jamie

I renewed my policy on the 12th march and then decided to cancel it on the 7th april due to no longer needing a car, over the phone i was advised that Close Brothers finanace would contact me to pay any outstanding bill, i recieved a letter from them confirming cancelation of the policy and no bill, instead wise driving has sent me a bill for £402 a number that doesnt add up as i have been insured for less than a month and certainly didnt agree to pay £237 a month for car insurance, the remainder of the bill consists of a £75 cancelation fee and an unexplained non refundable £90 fee.

Had nothing but issues since signing up, put your insurance up for ‘bad driving score’ completely understand if it was a couple of quid difference but £80 is disgusting!! Still waiting to actually see my driving score that they worked this out on. Waiting for a response back from an email when it should only be 48hours response turnover?

The black box isn't a normal one that you'd plug in and requires a mechanic to correctly attach it to the battery. I only had the black box for 6 days and they cancelled my policy with immediate effect. I called them to apologise and ask if the policy could be reinstated as I had managed to find a garage who could fit it that day (doesn't seem much time given we are in the middle of a global pandemic!). They have refused to reinstate the policy, will not offer me and now asking for £150 meaning I will have paid £350 for 2 weeks insurance.
