My electric had gone out in the downstairs part of my home only early evening (every appliance including fridge freezer was out and it wasn’t due to a storm). I telephoned requesting an urgent electrician to be sent out explaining the situation, only to be told it would probably be 48 hours before an electrician would be able to come out. If this is classed as your urgent work, I dread to think how long non urgent work takes. We ended up getting our own Electrician out. Also your prices have risen up per month appallingly, something needs to be done.

Because my wife died unexpectedly we missed a payment having been solid reliable customers for years. Homeprotect terminated the policy without notice. When I realised that my house was uninsured I was given a new policy with new customer status and the premium was increased by 60%! I doubt that this will be published.

the agent was very helpfull went though every thing with me and fairly quick she said if i need any help with any thing to ring up and if i want to add some thing i most get in touch great price and excellent cover we are very happy with every thing

Can't comment on the claim process as yet but underwriting seems to be price efficient compared to other insurers. Also there was a lot of other add-ons as part of the price which made it a better choice.

I've been a customer for less than 48 hours, and I've already had two emails asking me to write a review. I find this deeply intrusive and annoying behaviour. Not to mention, how on earth could I give a fair idea of anything in such a short time? Even if I'd been burgled at the stroke of midnight, I probably would't even have a crime reference number yet. ALL companies should just stop it. This mania for demanding reviews is horrible.

I was in the process of extending my holiday and requested my insurer to give me info on what was not/what was covered in my insurance policy and how much would it cost to cover to extend my policy to cover an extra 2 weeks (max 45 days). The gentleman I spoke to basically told me his company could not stop me going on holiday and then read out a long list of exclusions and to me it sounded like if I went on holiday, I had no cover. I then went on Compare the Market and Homeprotect was at the top of the list so I completed an online request for a quote and mentioned my unoccupied period. The resulting quote not only covered the unoccupied period with what seemed fewer exclusions but was also a lot cheaper than I was paying. As they say a 'No-brainer'. I'm over £100.00 better off and with a more acceptable list of exclusions for an unoccupied property. Plus, Customer Services were helpful when contacted for assurance that my policy would/did cover the arranged unoccupied period.

Came up as the cheapest quote even with an element of extra emergency cover as standard. Polite, well-versed staff member spoken to over the phone who was very familiar with the product.

Good site easy to navigate unfortunately it didn't hold all information when I pressed buy so need to call them to update information so please be aware. May just be my phone but not sure!

I have only just taken out a home insurance policy with HomeProtect so can only comment on using their website to get and accept a quote. I found the website straight forward and my insurance has just started , so all good so far.
