“This year my insurance was renewed automatically, it was very easy and I did nothing and was happy with the premium. I've been with them for a few years and chose because they have protection for homeowners that have lodgers. Last year I did have a bit of an issue because I had to simply change my payment method (expired bank card) and had to choose either to listen to terms of my insurance again on the phone by an agent or recieve by post. I was on holiday at the time so chose phone and it took a long time and feel they also tried to charge me for a change in my cover for the simple change in payment that was unavoidable as the card has expired. I had to answer so many questions and was on the phone ages! Next time I will elect for the postal option as literally all I wanted to do was change the payment card but felt I was being set up somewhat to make a policy change and therefore incur a charge. Still however, the agent was polite and I find homeprotect on the whole the best option for my circumstances at a decent price so I stick with it and continue renewing.”

“Good products however sign up process could have been easier - I had to phone the company to pay the deposit. As I was overseas this was £2 per minute and although they were willing to phone me their system did not allow outbound overseas calls. This needs to be looked into as business could be lost because of this.”

“I went to Home Direct as good reviews and my existing insurers had made big increase to the premium without any claims. Great service and quick and easy to deal with. Big savings on the premium from my previous Insurers and they included cover that I was not previously getting. So all in all very pleased so far.”

“Good level of cover and very reasonable premium. Easy to set up online.Have not had to use customer service or claims. Hopefully won’t ever have to, but good to know I have an excellent all round building and contents insurance cover, should I need it in the future.”

“Did everything via comparison to website all seemed to go well,made my final payment then noticed an error. I called home project up and managed to speak to one of their representatives John Charles. I explained what had happened and he resolved the situation, had to wait for a days just confirmed that it had been correctly sorted and receive an email to back that up. The problem was I had been put on a monthly payment plan for my insurance but I always pay the premium in full at the beginning of the policy. Let's see what happens on the 24th of the 10th 2019 hopefully no payments go through on my direct debit.”
