“The pergola is very poor quality. The instructions were almost impossible to understand. One of the slats in the seat is broken! There are other defects that I haven’t the time to list.”

“Awful company, please avoid. I discussed with a member of staff the size canopy I needed and he confirmed the material was 3m x 4m. It was to be used on the inside of a pergola for decorational purposes only. My wife an I started to staple it to the excisting beams, which was trickey due to the size, then realised when we got to the end it was short. I called and emailed only to be told it was for one of their pergola, and it obviously would not be the size? Even thoiugh I had this confirmed with their colleague. A continuation of excuses followed including it was my fault for not measuring it, and now I had used staples it could not be returnrd. I, like the majority of the country, trust what people say, and when you buy something it is correct. I do not order a pint at a pub and then measure it, I do not but items from the supermarket and then weigh them when I get home, and so on. Therefore I could not recommend this company at all.”

“This is my second awning purchase from Garden Street (the first was in 2018). The awnings are of excellent quality, and can be adjusted for the angle best suited. The most difficult part is ensuring that the brackets are accurately placed and FIRMLY secured on the wall. Personally, I found that the anchor bolts supplied with the brackets are not up to the job, as I could not get them to secure the brackets firmly despite following instructions, and I advise not to use these. I purchased from Wickes some much better anchor bolts, that did the job perfectly (This was done for both awnings I purchased in 2018, and now in 2025). Once the brackets are securely bolted, there are no other issues to assemble and adjust.”

“I have to admit I had not heard of this company before, found it by search engine looking for a patio furniture cover. Excellent choice of products in stock, best price avaiable anywhere and free delivery. Genuine quality branded products. Would be first port of call for similar products in the future.”

“Be very cautious if you buy any Maze furniture from this retailer. We bought a set in March 2023 and we have a problem with the glass table top. There is clearly a defect as the finish on the back has completely perished and peeled off. I contacted Garden Street who are unable to help as the 5 year warranty offered my Maze Living only applies if bought directly from Maze. You only get a 1 year warranty if bought from Garden Street. Very poor service for a product that cost over £2,000.”

“I did a lot of bin store research and chose Garden Street as they offered a triple bin store for different sized bins. They also had good reviews. Unfortunately I am not able to give a positive review. I ordered a 240/240/140 bin store but received a 240/240/240 bin store. I have given Garden Street plenty of opportunity to rectify the problem but have received no satisfactory explanation ot any form of compensation. The instructions provided are absolutely terrible, so we had started building the store before we realised we had been sent the wrong size. At one point I had to get a magnifying glass to read a measurement. You have to drill all the holes yourself and we had to saw a piece off one part to make it fit, possibly another piece sent in error? It took us at least 8 hours to assemble and it definitely takes two people. It also arrived very wet and that led to the swelling of some of the wood. The assembled bin store is certainly not perfect but it is better than looking at the bins. On the whole disappointed though.”

“Having bough a 3 seater bench previously, I bought a 2 seater version. I found that the screws were too big for the pre-drilled holes. Having to use pliers to get any sort of traction, I ended up damaging the wood in two places. The phone /email help I received was good and different screws were sent. Whilst an improvement I still had to use pliers to finish the job. I think there may be a problem with the materials that are being supplied. order no #241954 Her is my initial email: Hello I have begun to assemble this item and am really struggling. The 6x 100mm "self tapping" screws seem significantly too big for the holes OR the holes are too small? I'm pretty strong but all that has happened is that the screw holes have rounded from the Allan key pressure. I can't understand this. I had no problems with a previous order for the Lytham 3 seater version. Can you suggest what the problem may be?”

“A fantastic purchase. The four seasons garden room has been amazing since our summer purchase in 2024. We have sat out in all weathers. It’s extremely well built and was erected on site by a man who knew exactly what he was doing. Thank you Garden street. It’s my Greek Retreat this summer.”
