Order #2000029868: Title: Deeply Disappointed – Misled and Left Helpless I had one of the worst product delivery experiences ever. Before placing my order, I made it very clear to the customer service team that the bed must be delivered to the first floor, as I am a disabled person and physically unable to carry anything myself. I was assured this would be done, and that written instructions would be added to the delivery note. Unfortunately, the reality was completely different. The XDP delivery driver, Sebastian, showed up and was shockingly rude—he outright refused to take the delivery upstairs and left the entire bed in the corridor. I tried to explain my situation, but he simply did not care. I immediately contacted customer support again (through a chat with someone named Lewis) and was told the order could not be canceled or returned until next week. This left me completely stranded with large, heavy items I couldn't move, and no support whatsoever. To make matters worse, the assembly person had already made it clear that they wouldn’t help carry anything either—so I ended up stuck, paying for a service I couldn’t even access properly. It felt like a complete betrayal of trust. I had to pay an extra £50 to people who I found online to do the job later. I paid in 3 amounts via Paypal but the full amount was charged, and now I’m left unsure whether the fault lies with Green Chic, XDP, or PayPal. What I do know is that I’ve been let down at every stage of this experience. If you're considering ordering from this company and need any form of special delivery assistance, please think twice. They made promises they didn’t keep, and showed no empathy when I was most vulnerable.

Dear Jawad, Please accept our apologies for any inconvenience suffered. This item came directly from the warehouse of one of our suppliers, using their appointed couriers. Once the courier had left you, it was unfortunately not possible to get one to return the same day to rectify things. We will pass on your feedback to our supplier and ask them to liaise directly with the courier and request improvements. Once again, we are sorry for the inconvenience. It looks like your transaction was linked to PayPal pay in 3. This is something between you and them, so you will need to liaise directly with PayPal to understand the situation and resolve. The item I purchased (twice in error - once by me and one by my sister not realizing I had purchased) was lovely. Very nice. However I will NEVER buy from here again due to the rude and downright nasty man that picked up the phone to me when I called to explain I wanted one of the orders to be cancelled. Stay away - far far better (and politer) customer service in many other places. Stay away from here is my opinion unless rude boy has left - I may have made an error due to dealing with cancer and chemo but they way he is on phone is shameful

Dear Daniela, You ordered twice and contacted us to cancel the order. We needed to establish that the item was not already in transit to you which took a couple of hours, but then cancelled your second order the same day. Your refund was then actioned immediately. You were not happy that upon cancelling an order the funds take 3-5 days to clear back into your account. This delay is not down to us but banking protocols. Wouldn’t purchase from this company again / paid around £600 for a rattan table and chairs set when we went to put the table together - the rattan pieces from under the the table to hold it together was coming apart lots and obviously, ruining the look of the item. When we complained they sent the faulty pieces but wrong ones - when we complained again then they told me that our item was discontinued and we need to wrap the rattan back round and glue it….seruously, for an item that is faulty. I don’t expect to fix it myself 😡😡😡

I ordered a garden bench from Garden Chic on 19th June 2024 It was confirmed it would arrive in 10 days. I emailed Garden Chic on 1st July asking for an update having over 10 days passed. Garden Chic responded advising it has been delivered and forwarded a delivery image. Please see attached. I received no correspondence that it had been delivered. I responded confirming that the entrance porch in the attached image is not mine, nor any of my neighbour’s porch entrance. Also, the screenshot shows no one signed for it/accepted the delivery. Garden Chic had left a garden bench outside someone else’s house and got no confirmation from the house owner or signature. Garden Chic advised it will be redelivered to my correct address. On the 10th July 2024 (22 days after ordering), I had a call from Garden Chic’s driver at 7.59 am saying that he has not got my address, only my postcode and Flat A, no road, nor street number. After sending 10 emails to Garden Chic for updates/confirming my correct address prior, Garden Chic’s driver still did not have my correct address. I asked Garden Chic to compensate myself for the inconvenience, delays and errors. Garden Chic replied with “No” I have asked for Garden Chic’s complaints handling procedure and I I still await for this to be sent to me. Additionally I asked if Garden Chic had collected the bench from the random person’s House so they don’t inconvenience them in that they have to dispose of it. Garden Chic has not responded to this also.

DO NOT BUY FROM THIS COMPANY AS QUALITY CANNOT BE GUARANTEED. I bought some Forest Garden fence panels which because of weather I had to store for a while before installing. When they were installed the panels were structurally fine. However, the slats were twisted and warped so much so that our contemporary fence panel looks all wavy! Garden Chic palmed me off to Forest Garden who said this was a natural feature!!! By comparison the supposedly same Forest Garden panels sold at Wickes are 10 times better. I can only conclude Garden Chic are selling rejects or 'seconds' I have tried to resolve amicably but they do not want to know. Avoid!!!

Dear Sir, We are sorry that you are not happy with your purchase. Your panels were delivered directly from the manufacturer, Forest Garden. Please be assured that Forest Garden do not supply rejects or 'seconds' to any of the retailers they supply - Garden Chic included. The panels you recieved were standard factory quality - exactly the same as what Wickes would recieve. Warping and movement can happen in wooden products, as it is a natural feature of the material...with wood often expanding and contracting with changes in temperature. Best Regards GardenChic

We are really sorry for the delay in you getting your order. It was being delivered directly by the manufacturer and they struggled to get in contact with you by phone to get it booked in for a convenient day. They say that they then switched to trying by email and that your item was delievred the day following this feedback post. Apologies once again. Company does not support refunds despite saying so in terms and conditions. Would not have purchased if I knew I couldn’t easily return as needed dimensions to be spot on and upon arrival discovered it won’t fit. I have since purchased a made to measure fence railing and had this installed and am left out of pocket for ones that don’t fit that I now can’t return.

It is possible to return your items, but because they are large - there are not that many couriers who will carry them & those that do are unfortunately expensive. I ordered a 850kg bag of ornamental pebbles, however when the delivery company called me to arrange delivery it became clear that they could only deliver it with a pump truck as the bag was on a pallet. I live on a road where the bag could only be delivered to the road or pavement by this method. I needed a hiab delivery and the couriers don’t have a hiab truck. I also explained that there is no info on the buy or pay page about the manner of delivery and if it had been stated it was a pallet delivery I wouldn't have ever bought the item. When I asked Gardenchic for a refund they told me they would have to withhold £60 to get the pebbles back to them. I didn’t accept this and 5 days later I’m still waiting for my refund.

Dear David, Thank you for your review. Our website clearly states that all pallet deliveries are 'kerb side' drops. We are sorry that you did not see this. The info does appear in more than one place. If you had cancelled your delivery prior to it being despached, there would have been no issue. However, unfortunately you did not and only did so when it was out for delivery which has resulted in a carrier charge. Nonetheless, we tried to support you and advised that we would attempt to negotiate down the failed delivery fee for you. You advised us that you were not interested and if we did not refund you in full immediately, you would leave bad reviews everywhere for us. This is sadly one of them. We always look to support our customers and sought to find a compromise or some middle ground with you. It is dissappointing that we were not able to do so. Really disappointed with the swing seat we bought. It has green streaks everywhere and a sticky green substance on quite a few of the slats. GardenChic suggests this is standard and will fade with time - not sure what I should do with the clothes that the substance attaches to - it will not come off easily. I have raised a dispute with PayPal as I fiund this company response quite time wasting and frustrating,

Dear Roque, The product you have purchased is made of wood. This is a natural product and will rot unless treated. Your Swing seat has been pressure treated / tanalised at source to protect it against such rot. We state this clearly on the website. This treatment will protect it for upto 25 years. Churnet Valley do not supply any untreated products. Sometimes pressure treatments can result in some green or blue powdery marking in places. This is temporary and will fade in time. Many customers also choose to stain their their wooden items to a colour of their choice. This not only enhances the look but also the protection. Maybe this is an option for you? We have responded to all your queries and offered professional advise as provided by the factory - which yu choose not to accept. Having purchased a gas BBQ with lava stones,very misleading,from the description,looks good,but it’s so small and not sturdy at all, just moves about I had to build a plinth to fix it on and screw it down in case it got blown over igniter not working after second time,I have cooked my steaks on it only room for two,sometimes when you bye online,you take a chance,I guess this was made in china ,only positive thing delivered on time,

Sadly I would avoid this company. Communication is very poor and they appear to just act as sellers for manufacturers, so they take no responsibility for issues. Only have a part of my ordered item and they can’t tell me when or if the rest will be coming anytime soon! Frustrating

Hi Allison, We are sorry that your order took longer than expected. Sales have been very strong and we have been working very hard to stay on top of things. Our email has had an auto responder on for a couple of weeks asking customers to allow 3-5 working days for a response. You contacted us and asked us for an update on your order, we asked for you to confirm your order details so that we could look into it for you. You sent them through at approx 1pm & then left this review the following morning before we had chance to respond back. I purchased a Banana Cantilever and base on 28/04/23. Stated 3 to 7 days, on 7/05/23 I contacted customer service with regards to my order, I received email back on 9/05/23; stating it was in warehouse ready to be uplifted. And would be delivered together. I received the base on 11/05/23, with no Banana Cantilever, contacted customer service again to inform them. Received a email on 15/05/23 to inform me that, it had left warehouse.that they would investigate and get back to me. They got back to me apologising stating, that they only had green left I informed them to give me a full refund for order, Eventually on the 19/05/23 I got refund for Banana Cantilever, I contacted them again, explaining I wonted full refund and to uplift the base. After a few more emails The base was finally uplifted on 2/06/23, I am still waiting for refund To say I am a little annoyed is an understatement, hence the reason for this email. So my question is ? advertising products for a great price, but is unable to fulfil, the goods or delivery is not given your Company a good reputation I never do reviews, but feel I need to let other customers know my experience. First told item was in stock. Then 5 week lead time. Then Booked for 7 weeks for delivery. the cancelled the day before and re booked at their next available slot in 7 weeks. 14 week wait for

I ordered a gaming chair and received a mini greenhouse. It took a month and many emails to get this resolved, all the time my payment was held hostage - absolutely no sense of urgency. Very disappointing as this was a gift for my grandson.

Bought the outsunny metal storage shed advertised as 8 x 6 once I started putting it up it was actually a 6 x 4 with a lot of holes out of place so lots of predrilling necessary and really poor quality flimsy material

Good afternoon, We are sorry to hear there is an additional shipping fee for your order, there can sometimes be delivery charges with some suppliers based on the location, we understand this can be frustrating as it did not show when you added the item to the basket however, we have been advised this is what the courier would charge. Having placed an order for a computer desk on the 28th December and receiving an e-mail on the 5th January to say this had been dispatched I then needed to chase up delivery details which I did on the 11th January. The customer service department kept saying they would contact me with details. Something they never did. After chasing these details again, and this company blaming their suppliers I have finally been told the product is now out of stock and a refund will be arranged. I just feel that I have been lied to throughout this whole process with them trying to blame someone else instead of taking responsibility for their failings. Would never order anything again and would certainly not recommend them to anyone.
