5/7 working day delivery was in our case 15 days , we had escalated our case to garden chic management & were assured we would receive our order on time. My customer was left fenceless with young children for 2 weeks, which reflected badly on us. The order finally arrived at 7 in the morning with no ‘1/2 hour warning call’ we were assured we would receive . Sorely disappointed in the service we received .

Delivery took a month not 5-7 days as advertised, customer service is appalling with no response to my complaint and my summerhouse is poor quality with terrible instructions. Waste of money.

When ordered the gate , was informed that is out of stock and will need to wait for a delivery few weeks. When finally arrived , they mistakenly sent different size so , they need another few weeks to complete the order. Will not recommend!

Placed a big order with this company and got a delivery date a week later. Next day I asked if I could add to the order and was told 'yes'. They took payment, and then the goods never showed up. They had cancelled the order without telling me. Their excuse was it was my fault for ordering more things! (That's a first, a business criticising a customer for spending more money with them). I got no apology or offer of a discount. Nothing. When goods finally arrived they weren't complete either and some were damaged. You had to pay extra for a finishing kit, which I wasn't told about. Overall, a very stressful and a strange company to deal with who seem to be working on a 1970s model of customer service, which involves being rude, aggressive and blaming the customer.

The quality if the wood was terrible, split and rotten in places. Doors were warped so badly that they wouldn’t fit and we had parts missing. Really disappointed!

I ordered a Rotisserie BBQ. I was then told it was out of stock. I agreed to wait until new stock arrived. I made them aware I needed the BBQ by a certain date. One week before I had not heard anything so I sent an email enquiring about my order. No response. It then took 3 calls to them to get a response from them by email saying the stock hadn’t arrived. I asked for a refund. It then took two further calls to chase the refund which took two weeks to arrive in my bank. Terrible customer service. I would avoid like the plague.

Ordered the 'Circular Picnic Table with Seat Backs' when it said it was in stock (ordered in time for when friends will be arriving) for only to receive an email from Forest Garden saying it isn't in stock and would be delivered at a much later date in June. Order ref: WEBGC2017997.

Bought a pizza oven for an upcoming pizza party, bought a table stand and other things to use with the oven from a different shop. When i phoned to enquire about delivery I was told it was actually out of stock, even though when I paid for it, it clearly stated it was in stock. I'm now left with a table and other things that are useless now.

Bought a Gardeco Clay chiminea in May followed the instructions meticulously only to discover it fell apart. There appears to be no responsibility taken by anyone and all onus pushed back to the customer. Very poor, would not use this company again

Dear Sir, Thank you for the review. I am sorry to hear that you are unhappy with the feedback provided by both us and the manufacturer Gardeco. The extent of the splitting on your Mexican clay chimenea is very typical of frost damage which can occur when temperatures dip below zero degrees. If the chimenea is not kept completely dry then the moisture in the clay expands as is freezes and causes the clay to split as shown in your image. This is a natural phenomenon and cannot be completely prevented but the product is clearly advertised with this information. We do not shy away from issues presented to us by our customers but cannot offer a refund when an item has reacted to its natural environment as has happened in your situation. I am sorry that your experience with the item has meant that you would avoid our website in the future. If we can be of further assistance please do not hesitate to email us.

I have not received the product which I ordered on the 15/12/18. It is now the 27/12/18 and it still has not been delivered. I phoned Garden Chic today and a receptionist told me no one was available to speak to me from the sales team. I think this is a disgraceful way to treat a customer. This is the first time I have ordered from this company and it will be the last. I will be contacting some media outlets to tell them how badly I have been treated.

Dear James Thank you for the review and sorry to hear that you are dissatisfied, As you ordered the item for delivery to Ireland I am afraid we could not fulfil the order. We do say on every product page and in our delivery terms and also our general terms and conditions that we are unable to offer delivery outside of UK mainland. The payment for the order was refunded in full to conclude this matter.

Placed an order but after about 3 weeks no sign of it or communication. I emailed twice, rang (no answer) and sent a message by chat, finally got a reply to say the supplier would contact me directly. After a further week, I had to chase them again. They finally rang to say it would be delivered the following week (total of 6 weeks wait) and I would have to wait in all day for the delivery. I told them to cancel the order and they refunded me promptly. Extremely disappointed and would not recommend.

I ordered an arbour which was said to be in stock and normally despatched in 24 hours. 3 weeks later I still do not have a delivery date although the order details now say it has been despatched. I was misled as I would not have ordered the item if I was told I would have to wait over 3 weeks for delivery.

Ordered a garden furniture set in April with 5-7 days delivery and still waiting two months later! After hearing nothing for ages we find out they are awaiting a shipment which has been delayed AGAIN. Poor customer service for a large 1.4k purchase. After much complaining they said once it’s been delivered they might be able to knock £30 off if we phone them!! We are worried this company doesn’t even exist. Avoid at all cost!

Should have taken more notice of the reviews!!!!! AWFUL taken my £500, i had to chase them 4 days later for a delivery date.... to be told that they were now out of stock until next year! really poor service, now waiting for my refund before buying from somewhere else find yourself a proper supplier i intend to, wouldn't be surprised if they got rid of their ratings page!!!!! when you only get 60% happy ..... there must be a problem

Hi Karl Thank you for your review. You very kindly ordered a product which showed on the product page an anticipated delivery schedule of 14 days. As you mention, you kindly contacted us after 4 days to chase delivery. We then pointed out the schedule however you decided to cancel the order. This is absolutely fine and you are well within your rights to do so. We are trying to track the refund but cannot see any delay from the point where you requested that refund. We would like to thank you for your feedback. We consider the 14 day leadtime to be rather excessive however the item is sourced direct from a supplier and that is simply the service that they offer. Have not received my order. Took a day off work and waited in ALL day....no delivery. Rubbish firm do not use.

Dear Hilary, Thank you for the review, all our delivery times are estimates, we would never advise for customers to take time off work to take a delivery but the delivery companies are usually happy to leave items in a safe place to avoid days off work being necessary

Avoid at all costs ! They promised a delivery timescale, take payment and then do not send the goods!!! Three weeks after ordering still no goods and the company could not give me a delivery date! Had to go through Paypal to get my money back!

Hello, Thank you for the message. As this is our busiest time of year we have increased delivery lead times on our website, this would have been reflected on the product page when you kindly ordered from us. The delivery company makes contact around 24 hours prior to delivery

Delivery took an eternity and the first attempt was a voicemail left from an unknown caller and no number with which to return the call. When the delivery took place, the package (weighing 25kg) was dropped over a 7ft side gate. Contents partly broken and, despite a complaint, not really much concern given. Will not be using this company again.
