Dear Clare, Thank you for your review. I’m sorry to hear you were unhappy with the item we sent you. We have in place a stringent quality checking procedure to highlight any issues with shoes prior to dispatch so I am naturally very disappointed that you received a pair which were odd in pattern. During the construction of the shoe, it appears the fabric has been cut incorrectly therefore causing the pair you received to not match. It is unusual for this to occur with such a high quality product, so we will make sure Gabor are notified. On checking the order, I can confirm that the postage costs were covered for your return and a refund has been issued for you. This should show back in your account within 2-3 working days. The shoes have a sale sticker on them which has been removed but there remains a oblong patch of sticky residue. The right foot has been in the sun and bleached. It is also scratch and stretched from being tried on. They are smaller than my last pair even though they are supppsed to be the same size I now have the issue of returning them. I wish I had bought them elsewhere

Boots arrived in poor condition with crumpled and scratched leather on legs. Leather was also very thin compared to boots I have ordered from Gaborone in previous years.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the condition of the boots. I can see from your order that you have been sent a label to return these to us. This design is a thinner leather than other Gabor styles and as such the leather does get 'creased' which adds to the appeal, however this is not to everybody's liking. However there should not have been any scratches and we are sorry that they were sent out like this. I was surprised at how small the size was, particularly as it was a half size. I was also unimpressed that the customer has to pay to make a return. Expensive for boots. In future I will read return policies, this is the first time I've had to pay. It has put me off shopping online as I do not wish to pay for unsuitable items.

We find that with us doing a free delivery service that all of our customers benefit, rather than offering a free returns service. You can buy label for return on our website for £4.09 which covers up to 10 kilo so you could send more that one item back for this low price. The shoes arrived in a torn box and were scuffed on the toe and heel. Not what I would expect for shoes that cost £90.

Sometimes our shoes have been tried on in store but should all be checked before sending to make sure that they are in good condition. We will ensure that we notify our dispatch team so that they can be more careful in the future and avoid this kind of disappointment. The box is to protect the shoes, although we do try to keep them nice, sometimes there may be an occasion where it has been in transit before and damaged. Hassle and expensive to return the items. We can buy the same shoes from other stores and get FREE returns (i.e. Debenhams, House of Fraser, etc.) It costed me £20 to send my items back. Avoid!!

Thank you for your review. We offer free delivery, but not free returns as stated in our terms and conditions. We feel that benefits all of our customers. You can buy a label on our website for £4.09 which covers up to 10 kilo. This would allow you to send several pair of shoes back for a low cost. Everything was fine with the purchase. I was told that my shoes would be delivered between Thursday 11th September 16 and Monday 13th September 16 - I'm still waiting!!!!!

As you were not in, the order was then sent to your local DPD collection point and you have now collected it. I ordered these as I love Gabor shoes. However, having to pay return postage for shoes which do not fit (fitting is something which can only be established with the actual shoe) was incredibly annoying. I shall not buy from here again.

Complete fiasco with the delivery. Notification not received from DPD to say that the order had arrived. I had to follow this up. I visited the the Collect Plus store (258 Hither Green Lane, London) three times before I finally received the shoes. Appalling service by the Collect Plus store.

My last three pairs of Gabor flat shoes have been a disaster, they have all split at the bottom across the ball of the foot , and sides have broken away, so I don't think I will be buying in the future. Not sure if there as been a change in the way they are made , but they are made different from a few years ago.

Ordered shoes for my mum arrived with one shoe badly scratched and only told once she complained they are out of stock and was offered a £15 refund shoes are not cheap and she should have been told before they were sent they were scratched and only pair left. She was very upset by while thing. Very disappointing as she buys shoes from you regularly.

The boots I ordered are fine. I paid for next day delivery. The boots were not delivered until 2 days after I ordered them. I had specified a safe place for them to be left in the event that I was out at the time of delivery. This was not noted on the packaging and instead they were left at a neighbours house. Why give choices for delivery and take no notice of instructions given by your customers?

We apologise that your order was not sent out on a next day delivery, we have refunded your postage for this, it was an error on our computer and we have taken steps to ensure that this will not happen again. Instead of sending out with a courier who will leave packages in a safe place we used Royal Mail 24 hour service, they do not have the facility to leave a message on the packaging so this was also missed by us. We acknowledge that errors were made here which is not usual but sincerely apologise that this has happened and hope that any future orders do not have any problems.

Boots came poorly packaged in a bashed up box - did not have any boot inserts and whoever had these previously and returned them had not looked after them - the boots are creased at the middle where hey have bent over. For £160 it's not good enough and I'm surprised they were sent out to a new customer. These will be returned but what is further disappointing is that I have to pay out for the return postage of the faulty boots. All previous purchases from Gabor have been 100% quality so I'm surprised at the service this time round.

Shoes were despatched via Charles Clinkard not by Gabor - and even though it says on website you can return via collect plus, when the parcel arrived, the package label said you could ONLY return via post office at your own expense - with registered post recommended (cost me £11 !!!) or via a Charles Clinkard store (which is miles away for me - there are very few Charles Clinkard stores.....). Unfortunately the shoes weren't suitable and I found this return policy completely unacceptable and very misleading. Would not purchase again or recommend to anyone.
