Sizes vary from style to style, im disapointed, 7 too big on one style too small on another, i have had to have 7.5 on another, not true sizes at all

Hello, Thankyou for your review. We are disappointed with your feedback regarding Gabor purchases and hope the below information will offer some reassurance. As size is personal to each customer and each Gabor style will offer a different fit, we cannot guarantee that when you purchase a Gabor product that this will be perfect for you. There can be factors such as material, heel height as well as width fitting which can effect how an item of footwear can fit. Each footwear will have a different last when its manufactured and will be adjusted to suit the purpose it has been made for. The best way to enable a good fit is to try for size and if the style ordered is a different one it may be best to order two sizes and then return the ones that aren’t suitable for you. We offer 35 days into which you can return an item unworn and in resaleable condition. You do pay towards the cost of a return however on checking the details of your order, we do have a store in Stoke which can help and would also be able to assist in ordering another size or making some suggestions for you. We hope you will return in the future, we have a large range of styles for everyone and if you need any advice regarding the size/width we can of course try and assist . Our telephone is 0345 241 7742 and we are available 7 days a week, as late as 8pm Monday through to Thursdays and we also offer a chat facility as well as an email of sales@clinkard.co.uk which you can send over your query. Returned shoes - nice but too sloppy. Confirmation that shoes were received by you - only to receive email saying system was having problems refunding payment - I should await a cheque! Very poor - and I am still awaiting cheque. I will allow a short while for cheque to arrive before consulting solicitor. R F Johnston

when i recieved my 170.00 boots i realized they had been worn for about a month. dont think ill be purchasing another pair.

purchases a pair of lovely boots for £120.00. they arrived and had been worn. the soles were worn they had scrapes on the toes and had obviously been worn for a month or so. i phoned to complain and the person on the phone told me there was one pair left. she went to check them and told me that pair was the same. whats going on gabor......

Boots arrived damaged, one boot was crumpled and the other had scratches over them. Neither boot came with any stuffing in the boot. Very disappointed after spending £170. Then to find out that I had to spend nearly £5 to send them back.

I receved my order when i look at the swade navy shoe the right shoe was faded.I placed it back in the box and saw that someone before me had written on box right shoe faded.I was very disappointed.

Hello, Thankyou for your review. We offer free standard delivery with no minimum spend however do ask customers to pay towards the cost of the return. Returns can be taken into store if a Charles Clinkard is local to you. Collectplus is £4.49 and covers up to 10kg in weight and ideal for larger items as well as multiple orders. The label can be purchased directly from the company and is sent on an email for you to print. There are a number of drop off points you can use. I ordered a pair of size 6 suede boots as a Christmas present, when opened, the box contained two boots of different sizes, one size 6 and one size 8. Upon notifying Gabor, I was sent a label and expected to package the pair of boots and take them to the post office for return. A pair of boots in the size that I ordered and paid for is not yet guaranteed and nor will it be until after New Year. I'm extremely disappointed with this, even more so that it was a Christmas gift and I may only receive the pair I ordered in early January. Not a good experience really.

First, I love the products...however, the website design for information on returns and the UI/UX is appalling. Don't order unless you are certain you will not need to return or exchange. Gabor loses sales from me because I hate dealing with the website if I have a return or exchange. I would rather buy from a retailer like John Lewis than deal with having to order from them online. Which is a shame because I have at least 3-4 items that I want to buy, but haven't ordered because if they don't fit properly, I don't want to have to deal with the horrid return procedure and the website. The return instructions and information are FAR from clear and this needs to be fixed. The return procedure is not clearly detailed on the website nor the label insert with the items. The reality is- you may return through any shipping option at your own expense. However if you would like to print your own label and use Collect Plus- then there is an option to do it (but it is quite hidden and buried in about 5 sentences). The website unfortunately, does not state the prior in any simple terms, it is actually an incoherent mess of words and the hyperlink to collect plus is not highlighted or easily visible it is buried in a sentence with no visible indication that it is a hyperlink. On top of that, if you do manage to find the hyperlink to CollectPlus, it doesn't open a new window- it navigates you away from the Gabor website! Why would you want to redirect your customers away from your store?? Gabor is losing money and me as a direct customer, which is a shame..because I love the products. Also- I tried to articulate this issue to the customer service agent when I called to understand how to exchange an item and being absolutely mystified about the returns process on the website...and she was dismissive at best. Definitely not a way to keep customers and increase sales. With the likes of easy online shopping with ASOS, Amazon, John Lewis..and countless others...Gabor needs to catch-up.

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We do deliver free of charge in the UK and ask customers to return at their own cost. If an exchange is required we do send out the replacement again we cover the postage for the exchange pair to be sent out. With regard to our Collect plus link, this is located within our returns information and as the payment is to collect plus and not to ourselves has to open a link to collect plus for your details to be entered. We have an agreement with collect plus that for the low cost of £4.40 this will cover up to 10 kilo of returning items, this allows a customer to be able to order several pair of shoes and return those that they do not need at the one low cost. However if you have a Charles Clinkard store close to you, you have up to 35 days to return any unworn item to store for a full refund. As you will be aware we can be slightly flexible with this, as when you called our customer services and as you would be out of your 35 days return period, the customer service advisor said that if you return the items to us, we would refund for you. We are sorry if you found her to be dismissive, this will not have been her intention. We take your comments seriously and do from time to time review our website, so your comments will be passed over to our web team for consideration next time they review the site. Very disappointed with my shoes but as they are for an imminent wedding, have no choice but to keep them. Covered in scuffs, know they are suede but thought you would make sure they look good before sending out

Paid for Gift wrap was not done. had to pay for a return, which most other on-line shops have for free - Bodenham, Hobbs, Hush for example

We ask that our customers cover the cost of returning any unwanted products to us. If your new shoes are not a suitable fit, or you’ve simply changed your mind, you have up to 35 days to return them to us. You can use Royal Mail (Post Office) or a service called Collectplus which is £4.49 and covers up to 10KG in weight, this is perfect for multiple items and larger orders. Additionally items can also be taken into a Charles Clinkard store and a refund or an exchange can be processed here. Naturally your feedback is very disappointing however we appreciate your review. When buying shoes, it is normal practice to try one or more sizes. It is NOT acceptable to be charged to send the size not wanted, back to the company. I have already sent a review back to the Company and have received NO feedback. Therefore, I will be shopping at John Lewis in future!

I am a Size 3 and have slim calves. However the size 3 felt very tight all around as if it was 1 or half a size smaller. The shape was nice but the leather looked a little like PVC although it says that it is leather. Also I apparently have to pay for the returns, not helpful under these circumstances. Thus 1 star.

Hello, Thankyou for your review of the Maybe S boots. The Gabor Maybe will vary slightly in calf measurement depending on which size you are, for example the size 3 would be 32.2cm at the widest point and we would always suggest measuring your calf first. Additionally, the leather used is very soft and we are disappointed to hear you felt the quality was quite poor. Gabor only use the highest quality of fabrics/leathers and we will of course pass your comments to them directly regarding this. Wth regards to returns, we do ask customers to pay towards returns, Collectplus is £4.49 for up to 10KG in weight and would be ideal for larger items such as the boots you recently ordered. You can also use any other courier services which are convenient to yourself. Also, the Bristol store is your closest Charles Clinkard and you can of course take your return into there for a refund or an exchange. We have a friendly Customer Services Team available 7 days a week and you are welcome to call on 0345 241 7742 for guidance on a Gabor Product. I had waited ages to order Karen sandals in white - I want them to wear to a wedding in Mexico in January but they were out of stock in a size 6. I received an email to say they were back in stock. Delighted, I ordered the sandals immediately. A couple of days later I received the parcel. What a disappointment! The box was labelled with Karen sandals, but in it was a pair of ANNA sandals, which are just too "chunky" for the dress I will be wearing. So they bags are now packed up waiting to be returned tomorrow.
