I had to pay ,4pounds to return the shoes which is extortionate for a goods return label,so you will never get my custom again

Items can be taken into a store or other servces like Collectplus or the Post Office have varying costs. Hello Thankyou for you review. The Gabor BELFAST are a standard width fitting court shoe produced by Gabor. We cannot guarantee each style will fit each customer especially as size is personal and many factors can affect this. With regards to postage, we currently offer free standard delivery with no lower limit and we ask customers to pay towards returning their orders if they are not required or need an exchange. Please be assured your comments have been taken on board and we ill look to offer this service in the future. You can return via a store and also Collectplus offer 10kg for up to £4.49, ideal for multiple items and larger orders. Hi Mary, Thank you for taking the time to get in touch - I am sorry to read you haven't received your parcel yet. Parcels shipped to the US are nearly always delivered within 7-10 days - so it is unusual that you haven't received your parcel. I can see you have contacted you directly, and somebody is following this up with Royal Mail to see what has caused the delay. My boots were not delivered ‘next day’ as requested and paid for. Nor were they left with a neighbour as requested. They were delivered 2 days after I ordered and only because I phoned and complained. The boots were too big in the foot and too short in the leg. I now find I will have to pay for return by recorded delivery. So all in all not a great experience at all.

Thank you for your review. As your order was made after 4pm (it was not made until the evening) the next day delivery option has passed for that day meant that it would be dispatched the next day. This was done but as you were disappointed with this, your payment for next day delivery was refunded. We have spoken to DPD about your disappointment with their delivery and we apologise sincerely that your experience overall for your order was not a good one. I had 2 pairs of size 6 and a half shoes which were completely different sizes. If you are unable to standardise size perhaps it is unfair that the customer has to pay postage to return shoes which are not as described. I trust you will refund £2.99

Dear Hazel, Thankyou for your review. We have taken closer look over your order today and the items you ordered were two different width fittings. The Gabor Zara is a C+ or a standard comfort fit and the the Gabor Splash are a D width fitting meaning that they have been designed with the needs of wider feet in mind. The styles are different and unfortunately would not offer the same fit if the same sizes were ordered. You can filter wider fitting shoes via the "filter" option on the left hand side or if on a mobile device this would appear near the top. We are sorry you were disappointed with the fits and we are pleased to confirm we have refunded the two pairs you kindly returned to us. Dear Carmel. Thankyou for your review. We have recently spoke to you regarding your order and apologise for the delay. Royal Mail have advised the item is currently in customs and should be with you shortly. Parcels from the UK can take up to 15 working days to arrive, obviously this is a worse case scenario and we hope that once the shoes are sent to our customers that they will be received quickly. the boots looked fine but were not the same size as the ones I already have from a couple of years ago. I am annoyed that you state free delivery but fail to mention in the same type face that one has to pay for returns.

Gabor footwear does come in a range of width fittings calf fittings and also have various ranges avaialble to the consumer such as Optifit and Hovercraft. It may be this style is different to the ones you purchased previously and the size therefore differs. With regards to returns, we offer free delivery to our customers as we feel they benefit more from the service however do ask for returns to be paid for. Massively out of pocket as a free return service is not offered. Most competitors do give this service as standard so I will be shopping else where in future.

As one of the largest stockists of Gabor we offer a fantastic range of shoes/sandals and boots and feel that the free delivery service we offer is more beneficial to our customers. Items can be returned via the following methods: Store-Charles Clinkard will offer a return or exchange within 35 days as long as item unworn and you have the original paperwork. Post Office-There are various services you can use to return the shoes however it can cost more for larger items such as boots. Collectplus-This service is around £4.23 and you can send back up to 10KG in weight, ideal for larger orders and also for boots. It cost me over £8 to return shoes which on this occasion didn't fit I buy lots of Gabor John Lewis free return !!! I won't be buying again beware !!!

I have Gabor shoes already (size 5 1/2) and they fit perfectly. I ordered a pair the same size last week and they are far too small. I addition, the picture on the web did not show the diamante bit on the laces and there was no description with the photograph. I would never have bought the shoes if I had known about the awful addition to the laces.

When processing an image of the shoes, we take this at as many angles as possible to highlight the details and the colour. On reviewing the image closely, you can see the subtle detail however I can appreciate this wasnt included in the description and if you had noticed this then you may not have ordered. They were nice sandles but too narrow,I had to send them back but did not realise I had to pay for returns.I love Gabor and usually buy shoes from Jones shoes on line where ,if I have had to return it is free to return to the shop,although I have never had to return Gabour.

Please be assured we have passed over your comments regarding this however you can return items via the following: Instore- If local to Charles Clinkard, the items can be taken instore for a refund or an exchange, items must be unworn and with the original packaging. Royal Mail-Services offered from around £2.95 depending on which service you choose. Collectplus-Approximately £4.23 for up to 10kg and can be helpful when returning multiple items. There are also additional services such as Hermes and Parcel Force who offer competitive rates. I asked for the parcel to be left at the back door..but in case back gate was locked to be left in green bin. Did expect the courier to use his common sense and not leave parcel in green bin when it was on pavement waiting to be emptied!!!

Normally Gabor shoes fit me perfectly. This pair were too big and altogether a 'sloppy' fit, bulging at sides as I walked. I had to pay to return them. Most internet purchases allow free returns.

Unfortunately, not every style stocked is suitable for everyone which is why we offer 35 days for our customer's to return their orders if they do need meet the their needs. With regards your feedback on the returns policy, we unfortunately do not currently offer free returns as we offer a free standard UK delivery service instead. We find that most customer's benefit more from a free delivery service instead of a free return, however, if we received feedback that the opposite was preferential to more customers we of course would look into this.
