Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you are finding the fit not suitable for you. There are several ranges from Gabor, such as Comfort, Rolling soft etc, and each may fit slightly differently as the width may differ. It may be an idea to go into a Charles Clinkard or other Gabor shop if you have one close to see which style is the best fit for you? Kind regards, Janice - customer services

I should have read the returns policy,I had to pay for postage back and it was Charles Clinkard who I had to return to, won’t be using your website again

Thank you for your review. We do deliver free of charge but ask customers to cover the cost of returns. You can take returns back to a Charles Clinkard store if it is more convenient. We offer up to one year so long as the item is unworn for you to do this. Charles Clinkard does run the Gabor website in the UK. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

Have worn Gabor shoes for years and this is the first time I have ordered pair that were too tight and very uncomfortable

Thank you for your review. This shoe is a Hi Tec finish on the upper and not leather, like most Gabor shoes, this may have made a difference to the feel of the shoe. not happy with your sizng. I need a UK 8 and ordered it but it was a 9. so had to send sll three pairs back and it cost me over £8. I did not know you didnt pay for returns so will not order again

Thank you for your review and for commenting on our sizing. We are sorry to hear that you found these shoes to be too big for you. I have checked the shoes that you returned and they are all a size 8 as ordered, however, they are also extra wide fitting so this may be why you found them to be too large for you. Personally, I find that if I buy a wide fit, I need to get a smaller size either a half size less or a size less to reduce the area within the shoe. This may help for future reference. we do pay the postage to you and if an exchange is needed, we would cover the postage to you again, but we do ask customers to cover return costs or take them back to a Charles Clinkard store. We do have a store not too far from you and offer up to 1 year for returns to be refunded so long as they are unworn. We do hope that you find a shoe that is a better fit for you. Shoes order too wide, seems to be manufacturers do not cater for women requiring smaller sizes

I bought shoes in a size I wear all the time. They don’t fit. This is the first problem I have had in many years with Gabor so I’ll try again this time….

Very disappointing that these arrived too late, due to dpd awful service. But more disappointed that I had to pay £8!!!! to send them back. £8- I won’t use you again

Thank you for your review. You can return any unwanted item to a Charles Clinkard store at no cost. Alternatively, you can use the link on our website where you can return up to 10 kilos for the low cost of £4.49. If you return via Royal Mail, the cost is from £2.85 depending on which service you use, if you choose a next day, or signed for service then it is more expensive. I ordered two pairs, size 6. I have always worn size 6, and have some on at the moment. But both these pairs were much too big/long - almost a 7. I was able to return one pair to JOhn Lewis and was refunded, but unfortunately the packaging of the other pair was destroyed - so I will give them to the Charity shop. Brand new.

hi I bought 2 x pairs of Gabor shoes from you and I have worn one of them a couple of times now and the dye come off all over my feet - leaving my feet black this does surprise me due to the cost of them

I’m returning these shoes. I’ve always found Gabor shoes to be excellent in the past. Sadly these were I’ll fitting and the quality of the suede was dreadful. I’m not sure what the company is do8ng but this is not what I expected. So disappointing

Shoes quality but the style did not fit me. You failed to tell when making an order that when returning the unsuitable shoes, the customer had to pay the postage.

Both pairs of boots returned as the ankle too narrow. Needs a front opener. Both pairs have been returned. Despite being an extra wide fit. Disappointed! Tissue paper was very creased and the boxes torn. Looked as if had been returned by someone else. If I hade ordered via Charles Clinkard I could have collected points but you don’t mention that although packing had their name all over.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you found that these boots too narrow on the ankle for you. You may find that having just a half size bigger gives the extra area that you need. This doesnt work for everyone, but many customers have tried this and found it helps a lot. With regard to Gabor and Charles Clinkard, Gabor is actually a German Company and Charles Clinkard being one of the largest suppliers of Gabor shoes in the UK, have licence to run the Gabor website. the shoes arrived, there was a significant difference in size. The left shoe was at least a half size larger than the right. Hope this helps.

I ordered my shoes online. One shoe was dull and the other was shiny, one shoe also had a small dent in the toe, and scuff marks. I took them back to Charles Clinkard in Newcastle, where I wasn’t even offered a discount if I bought another pair, which I haven’t. These shoes were £89.99 and the quality was very poor.

Loved the boots particularly the Midnight Blue but unfortunately both pairs were too narrow on the calves and had to be returned. I don't think that the online information was clear enough about the fit. The biggest disappointment was that it then cost £27 to return the boots. Next time I would buy online from John Lewis as the returns are free. I think that Gabor need to change this policy in line with the vast retailers that I use so all in all a mixed response from me. Fab boots but poor company to deal with.

You have up to 365 days to return an item as long as its unworn and you can use any method preferable to you however, it is recommended that a tracked service is used for your reassurance. There are other services that offer a cost-efficient return and you can also take the items back to a Charles Clinkard store for a refund or an exchange. Collectplus for example is £4.49 for up to 10kg and this would cover multiple pairs or larger items. The boots took quite a long time to arrive .I had to send them back and pay £11 postage as Gabor shoes expect their customers to foot the bill to return their items .

The website is easy enough to use and the boots arrived on time. Unfortunately neither pair were a good fit and the return shipping that covered the value of the items was very expensive, plus I had to post both back separately due to the size of the boxes. It has put me off ordering again. Around the same time I ordered boots from a different website which also had to be returned, but they provided a return label that had a reduced price, so only £2 per package would be removed from the refund value. Spending over £10 per parcel returned just isn't cost-effective.

You are welcome to return these via Royal Mail however there are other courier companies which may offer a more competitive choice. A tracked service is recommended although you are welcome to use any service which is preferable to you. The shoes I ordered were of poor quality. The material inside the shoes was poorly manufactured so caught on my toes. Customer Services were good and sent me a free returns label. Hence the extra star otherwise I would give a 1 star. I do not expect £95 worth of shoes to be poorly put together.
