“Excellent service and very comfy boots, normally size UK7, with Gabor I ordered a 6.5, wide fit, perfect. I will definitely buy Gabor foot ware again.”

“Lovely shoes, but way too narrow. I could see they wouldn't fit when I took them out of the box. Disappointed as I has to pay return postage, so won't be ordering again.”

Thank you for your review. Although we do deliver free of charge, we do ask customer to cover the cost of any returns. You can send back an item using second class Royal Mail which is keeps cost low and then add tracking which is around 80p more. There is a link on our website to Collect + where for the low cost of £4.49 you can return up to 10 kilo, so several pair of shoes can be returned in one package. You can also return orders to any Charles Clinkard store which will save you the cost of any postage charges. I hope that this information helps. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

“Gabor is one of my favourite brand. I have quite sensitive feet. The most important for me is the comfort of shoes and that are made of leather. Any other type of shoes always heart my feet. All shoes I had from Gabor are comfortable, leather, good looking and good quality. This is all what I need. 👍”

“Beautiful boots but I don't feel your wide fit are particular wide. I usually have a normal width fitting but with boots and the need to wear socks with them in the cooler weather you want them wider. Unfortunately they are not much different to your normal width.”

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you feel that the wide fitting is not wide enough for your requirements to wear socks. On a personal level, I find that if I get a half size larger for the winter when I need to keep warm, this allows the extra area within the boots for me to wear socks comfortably. Many customers use this method and find that it works well for them. It may be something that you might consider trying to see if it works for you too. Kind regards, Janice - customer services

“Unfortunately I had to return the shoes - I suffer from lymphoedema and even though the shoes were wide enough for me the depth I am afraid was not. The shoes themselves were of excellent quality and very comfortable for the short time I tried them - but I am afraid not for a long day and I have no doubt the shoes would last for a very long time”

“I have several pairs of Gabor shoes in various sizes. They are very comfortable and I would recommend them, although they are expensive. Recently order in different sizes and had to send 2 pairs back and was disappointed that I had to pay to return the items. Have never had to do this before, but I suppose it is the sign of the times.”

“Over the years my wardrobe is full of a range of Gabor shoes as they cater for wide fitting (G) and are easy to wear. A few have not fitted so well. The fitting of some of them in the same size can be different. Generally reliable. I now have bought my third pair of Slash Casual Ballet Pumps. Practical and very comfortable.”

“Have worn Gabor shoes for years. Great quality and fit. I am replacing a pair that is 10 years old. I ordered the wrong size but have reordered the correct size. Return process was simple and refund prompt. Can't recommend them enough. Looking forward to receiving correct size shoes.”

“This was my first time buying Gabor shoes online. I am usually a size six, but bought half a size down after reading reviews which said the shoes came up large. They were still too big for me so needed to be returned. I had, mistakenly, thought Gabor offered free returns (like other similar brands, Geox, Camper, etc), but I discovered I had misread their website and returns are not free. It cost me just under a tenner to return them (including insurance - as I didn't want to risk ending up £100 out of pocket if the parcel got lost). That was enough to put me off ordering a smaller size, in case they also didn't fit and I would be further out of pocket, having to return those. I won't be ordering from Gabor again online. You can return to their branches, but there are none where I live (London). I like Gabor shoes, but will stick to buying them in person from concessions - or online from other retailers (like John Lewis) which offer free returns. Given how often the fit of shoes isn't quite right, it does seem a bit short sighted not to offer free returns or at least where the cost is capped (as the likes of Uniqlo and others do).”
