Fastening is shown as buckle. It is in fact velcro fastenings with plastic buckle decoration. Not tge standard I am used to from Gabor.

Very disappointed with the boots. They had a very sharp tack sticking through from the heel through to were your actual heel goes. This hurt my foot when trying on ! This should not have passed quality control. Due to this I had to return at my own expense which I don't agree with. Decided to drive hour to a shop to return instead of cost of postage. Lady in shop helpful and was very surprised at nail tack sticking through. Now waiting for my 170.00 to be returned

My lovely boots did not fit. Unfortunately I’ve had to pay £9.00 to return. Therefore I will not be purchasing anything else from Gabor as it has a very expensive return system. In future I will stick to shops like John Lewis where I can return and in fact end up buying more and keeping.

Although I like your shoes and boots and have many pairs I was shocked at the cost of returning a recently ordered pair of boots online. Yours is the first company that has charged for the items to be returned. Due to the value of the items it cost £18.59 for the return, which is 10% of the value. This has soured my opinion of your company.As a result I will never buy anything online again from your company and will seriously consider buying your footwear in person.

Hello Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We offer a free standard UK delivery on spends over £40.00 however as part of our terms and conditions we do ask for returns to be paid for. You are welcome to use whichever service is convenient and we do recommend a tracked service for your reassurance and you can also return via a Charles Clinkard store. The cost of return via Royal Mail will vary depending on what services you opt to add. I returned both pairs of shoes. One pair was too small - not your fault! The other pair were scuffed so faulty - I paid £11.50 to send them back but I would have had the second pair. Didn’t reorder as I didn’t want to find I been sent another pair that was faulty so went to the shops instead!

Shoes arrived damaged and delivery was from Charles Clickard (which was not made clear at all when purchasing through the Gabor site). I had to return the shoes to the shop otherwise would have to pay for return delivery. I will not be buying from Gabor again.

The shoes arrived in a very tatty box, I almost thought they were second hand. Also, the Gabor wording inside the shoes was feinter on one of the shoes. I almost sent them back. I was not impressed.

Items can be sourced from both our warehouse and our stores, where they may have been on display or tried on. Not happy with service. Realised as soon as I had clicked the "pay" button that I had ordered the wrong colour shoe. Phoned up and was told the order could be cancelled and I should just order again in the right colour. A few days later TWO pairs of shoes turned up, so I had to go to the post office and stand in queue for ages to send one back. Why did Gabor tell me the first order was cancelled when it wasn't??

I had ordered two pairs of shoes. One pair was faulty and the other one for slim feet (narrow fit). I decided to take them back to the shop to change rather than returning them via post as I had to pay and didn’t want to risk receiving another faulty pair. On the website there was a Charles Clarkson in Guildford which was the closest to me but to my great surprise the shop doesn’t exist anymore. I am very disappointed with Gabor firstly for sending a faulty pair and secondly for not keeping their website updated. This is not a kind of customer service you expect from Gabor. Also the delivery driver was so unprofessional. He called the entry phone and when I went out he decided that the address is not correct. I had to stop him and make him to read the address again and showed him the door number. Total disappointment!

We would of course not have expected you to have any cost for return of a faulty item and could have provided you a label for Royal Mail. Unfortunately you are correct about Charles Clinkard Guildford store, this has recently closed down. This is a sad loss and we apologise for your inconvenience, this store has been removed from our website. I can see that you took your return back to one of our other stores and hope that you were happy with the service there. With regard to the delivery driver, we use an external service, either Royal Mail or DPD. Gabor shoes are normally really comfortable and well fitted. I had a pair of loafers before and they were fantastic. Unfortunately for me the back of the shoes were really hard and end up digging in my ankles to the point they are bleeding and I am left with blisters too.

Hello Thankyou for your review. We are sorry you are finding the Vital uncomfortable. This indeed sounds like an issue with fitting and the shoes may need breaking in. We would suggest allowing your blisters to heel and giving your feet time to breathe again, once this has happened then please retry these wearing socks (around the home) or popping a plaster over the area. Due to the quality of the materials being of the highest standard, these should start shaping to your foot and feeling more comfortable. If we can offer additional assistance please do get in touch. I was disappointed to receive damaged shoes (leather scuffed and insole rough on one sandal). I have returned the shoes for an exchange and been promised a refund of my postage. They are beautiful sandals and I love the Gabor brand so looking forward to receiving a fresh pair.

I ordered two pairs of wide fitting shoes for work. Both pairs were just not wide enough. The shoes were lovely quality but I am disappointed that the Wide Fit was simply not as advertised. Also the boxes the shoes came in were very tatty, as if they had been in stick a while. I was also unaware that the retuning of the shoes would not be free, I guess I should have checked. It cost me £6.50 to return them !! In these times of internet shopping this needs addressing.

I bought 3 pairs of shoes- trainers and 2 pairs of sandals. The trainers were great but the sandals were uncomfortable so I returned them. It cost me almost £12 to return them. It’s disappointing to have to pay for Returns. It puts me off buying in future

Shoes good but I won't be shopping here again as you have to pay for returns- ridiculous for such expensive shoes. It should at the very least be made clear the cheapest return options on the website. My young teenager had to take to the post office for me due to illness and was charged £20 for return of two pairs. I won't be buying direct from here again unless they change this out of step return policy.

hi i still have not recieved my purchase!! there is no way of tracking the shipment outside the UK. this is not acceptable. the shoes are great but the delivery service is not. i would not recommend.

I received 2 pairs of boots. It looked as though 1 pair had just come off someone else's feet. The zips were unzipped and one boot was creased across the instep, and they were thrown into the box not wrapped as usual. The other boots were packed in the box beautifully but the box was completely battered and sellotaped. I kept both pairs because they were comfortable but I thought Gabor shoes would have better quality control.

Liked the website and shopping experience, very smooth however was shocked that there was no free returns particularly for buying shoes. Will avoid shopping at Gabor in future for that reason and look for your shoes at other stockists like John Lewis who offer free returns.

I got Iria women’s boots size 4. They sent in left boot size 4 , left boot size 3.5. Second pair I ordered size 4 came in size 4. Left boot looks like it has different leather piece where laces go in on top towards inner part of the ankle. It’s shinier than the rest of the boot leather (which is mate) and also folds outwards when it should just keep straight shape. Either way quality is debatable if I can tell boots are made from inconsistent prices of leather that don’t match. DHL shipping is fast. I also tried ordering same boots from same store on Amazon- same luck, was sent the size I didn’t order.
