Chocolates were very good but I paid for next working day delivery and they came a day later so not on time for birthday

My partner tried eating a little piece of your easter egg and was sick and also she had diorrhea and pains in her tummy. She is diabetic thats why we went for your sugar free easter egg. Sorry to have to tell you about this. Regards, Mrs G.Campbell.

The Easter egg chocolate was great, but the chocolates inside were not nice at all and were thrown away. They tasted old and the sugar had crystallised.

I ordered a box of vegan chocolate’s for my wife for valentines and I’m still waiting for them !!! I did mean valentines 2023 !!

Thank you for the review, Royal Mail did try to deliver your parcel on the 14th of February however no one was in. If you could contact our customer service team at sales@friars.co.uk they will be able to send you your tracking information and you'll be able to arrange the redelivery of your order. Blissfully Boozy Chocolates which they couldn’t have been further from. Very dissapointed there was no boozy part at all would never buy again Purchased 9/02/23 for Valentines evening

My order for 4 sections of Tablet were very disappointing. I do know that tablet is not soft like fudge but these are brick hard and only tasted of sugar. No buttery creamy taste at all as expected.

Paid for next day delivery. Took 12 days to be delivered and required me to chase what had happened. Point blank refusal to refund the next day delivery charge. Hid behind the post office tried to deliver the next day but the person wasn't in. The person was in - all day. Appalling customer service. I shall not be using Friars again

Very disappointed. Bought chocolate liqueurs via amazon which arrived damaged with many having leaked and no good for my Xmas table. Both amazon and Friars refused to do anything about it. Complete waste of many pounds and would advise anyone against purchase.

Really disappointed with the chocolates I'm afraid. Pretty tasteless combined with the menu not accurately matching the fillings. So much so that it was hard to work out what flavour they were supposed to be!

We have waited, patiently, for delivery and the total was about £50, including 10 packs of Countreou Truffles at £1.99. NOTHING HAS ARRIVED. IS THAT GOOD? NOW YOU WILL TELL ME IT WAS NEVER RECEIVED, DESPITE CORRES. BETWEEN UD AND YOUR COMPUTER BLOCKING ME BECAUSE I COULD GIVE NO START DATE. THE NEW BARCLAYCARD GIVES NO START DATE. YOU JUST TELL ME YOU DON'T NEED ONE AND SEND ME NOTHING ORDERED. IS THAT PROFESSIONAL? I SAID IT IS COWBOY TREATMENT. SHODDY TREATMENT AND INCOMPETENCE WHEN TO KNOW THAT NO START DATE IS REQUIRED BUT THEN PRESS FOR ONE IN RED TYPESCRIPT AND REJECT BY ORDER. MERRY XMAS! 9/1/2023.

Very unhappy with the service and delivery of my item. Which was under £30 no where on the website did it say that you had to sign to receive. Customer service said it was delivery companies policy and delivery company said it was friars policy. After back and forths 3 different phone calls where i was on hold a total of 1hr. 2 unsuccessful deliveries to neighbours and work. I finally managed to get them to deliver without signiuture (so was possible to do so). By this time was late for a birthday gift. 12 days and 7 quid total for express delivery. Awful. Will not use again.

Hi Oliver, Thank you for your review and we are sorry that there was an issue with your delivery. We had to use an alternative courier on the run up to Christmas for our express delivery orders due to the numerous strikes taking place. Delivery was attempted 2 days after you placed the order but no one was available to accept the delivery. A signature is not required for delivery, however, the courier will only leave the parcel with a neighbour or in a safe place if they are instructed to do so, which unfortunately has to be done through ourselves. It is not ideal and we will look into how we can adapt this process. Kind Regards, Friars Customer Service.

I never received the goods and was told I was getting a full refund. The courier never delivered.

Hello, Thank you for your review and we're sorry that your order was not successfully delivered due to the courier. We usually use Royal Mail for all of our deliveries but due to the strikes on the run up to Christmas we had to use an alternative courier. Unfortunately a lot of other companies also had to do this and, together with driver sicknesses, this overwhelmed their system. Again we are sorry that we could not successfully fulfil your order. Terrible customer service in the store. We purchased a lollypop for my 4 year old girl. She accidently dropped it outside the store and it smashed to pieces inside the unopened wrapper. She was upset so I took her back into the store to ask if she could swap it for another. I was met with the manager who seemed very put out by my request. She advised that it is not usually store policy to do this. Then sarcastically said, since it is Christmas I will swap it this once. I didn't appreciate the tone or manner in which I was spoken to. All I wanted to do was swap a lollypop for my daughter and you think I was requesting a golden ticket for willy wonkers chocolate factory. You call yourself a family business? there wasn't anything family friendly about it from my experience. Customer service definitely isn't at the fore front of your company.

Really not happy with the response I git after sending an email, about a late order, I will not order from Friars again after the response I got. While I accept the Royal mail strikes caused the problem, the reply to my complaint was unsatisfactory.

I have been sent the wrong order. When I informed them and requested to be sent the right order they informed me that the item I had ordered was out of stock. They refunded me but offered me no compensation for my inconvenience.

Very disappointed with the product and the after sales customer service. I wanted vegan marzipan chocolates and typed vegan marzipan into the search bar. I bought the first box that appeared in the search which cost just under £25. when I received the chocolates I was surprised at how small the box was for the price and also I realised the chocolates were not vegan. I contacted Friars and they said if I returned the chocolates they would refund my money but wouldnt pay for the postage. I was told that as I had typed vegan and marzipan, it brought up everything that was vegan and everything that was marzipan and if I had looked at the ingredients I would have noticed this!! I have NEVER had to check ingredients on an item that comes up under a vegan search before. Their website search criteria is obviously set up wrong. I have asked to speak with a manager and have been told the replies I was receiving are what the manager has said to send me. What poor service from a company that portrays itself so highly.

We do have a whole section on our website dedicated to vegan products and each of our products also has a clear Allergen & Dietary Advice table which makes it easy to see if a product is vegan or not. We do state the weight and dimensions of the product on the listing to give customers an idea of the size but again we are sorry you were disappointed. Kind Regards Friars Customer Service

I received notification that my order was coming, but when it arrived it was a tiny box containing a fraction of the goods ordered. I sent 2 e-mails which were returned because the mail box was full. I have still not heard back about the missing chocolates.
