“The box of chocolates were sweeter than expected as eaten after our individual choices which we filled our advent calendar with. These choices were really enjoyable and just what we were looking forward to.”

“Chocolates were lovely, but after I made a mistake on the order form things went very wrong. I contacted Friars to say I’d mistakenly ticked ‘use delivery address as billing address’. I then sent them the correct billing address. They were lovely and replied saying they would correct it for me. However, what they actually did was mix up the two addresses, with the result that the parcel arrived at my house, with the recipients name. I had to re-address and send it on - which meant I paid postage twice and the parcel arrived late. I appreciate that it was a busy time of year, and I made the first mistake, but attention to detail on customer service would have given you a much higher rating!”

“The coffee chocolates were ok but a little bland and didn’t have a very strong coffee flavour. Expensive. Not a patch on the Thorntons cappuccino chocolates when they used to make them.”

“The chocolates were beautifully presented, but unfortunately the taste was disappointing. Compared to some competitors, the flavor was lacking and nearly tasteless to me. I expected a good quality chocolate for the price. I won’t be purchasing again, though this is purely my personal opinion.”

“The advent calendar is great and I am very happy with it but I spent a lot of money on next day delivery and it was delivered four days later. When I got in touch with the company they said that it was actually next working day if ordered by a certain time, but this was never specified anywhere and it delayed the gift arriving to my family. I have gone back to the company about this several times and they have refused to acknowledge the lack of clear information around the delivery.”

“Purchased a 'mine & yours' advent calendar. Order arrived within a couple of days. Chose the calendar as it was different from ones we had seen and the chocolates sounded amazing. Since opening the calendar, we are disappointed. Small in size, some lack taste or can be overpowering. We thought we might get a different chocolate on opening each side, but we get the same, so there's no comparing. Overall and up to yet not impressed especially for the cost.”

“Bought an advent calendar for my wife. My wife is not fussy on white chocolate's and the first 4 doors that she has opened on the "Day/Night" calendar have all been white chocolate, which has kind of put her off opening any more to be disappointed. She did say that the quality of the chocolate was good though.”

“Although these are lovely chocolates and a bit pricey, I'm disappointed there using palm oils in them , could of got cheaper chocolates if I had wanted naff ingredients, therefore I won't purchase again , I have bought these chocolates several times but without realising they were using palm oils”

it sounds like you have purchased of the the taster packs, these are packages in a plastic tray wrapped and sealed in celophane. All our chocolate Boxes are beautifully presented.
