I ordered & requested a note be added for a birthday which is an option. It was not added. I have emailed twice but no reply. I have ordered in the past but I won't order again due to the lack of care & communication.

Hello, Thank you for your review. The gift notes are printed automatically on a section of the packing slip which is separated and included with the all orders, whether a gift message has been added or not. Sometimes they can slip underneath the paper packaging, which can cause them to be overlooked by the recipient—but rest assured, they are always included. Poor customer services. Bought Friars chocolate frequently, but last time the chocolate was not properly described. A polite email was met with a dismissive reply which suggested that it was the customer's responsibility to determine the exact "nature" of the item and not rely on their "heading". Didn't ask for refund, which they did offer in the most offhand manner. Put me off buying in the future.

They were a disappointment - okay but really not melt-in-the-mouth, quality-tasting chocs. I've most cerrtainly had better, including from Friars.

I thought I would give friars a try as the chocolates looked lovely, I usually buy from hotel Chocolat and as friars were more expensive for like for like chocolates I was expecting great things , I have to say I was very very disappointed the fruit flavours tasted very artificial the cherry being the worst hardly any strawberry or coffee flavour in the cup cake chocolates although the texture was nice there was hardly any Florentine to the Florentine chocolate, and the chocolate itself did not taste good quality at all , so for me I will be sticking with hotel Chocolat in the future.

The chocolate itself tasted ok but the different flavours did not come through and there was little taste to them. I was a bit disappointed.

The tree decorations were fine. Coffee creams and dark chocolate caramels disappointing in taste and texture.

I bought a box of 25 cherry liqueur chocolates to give my wife at Xmas. They were OK but not as classy or as tasty as the ones we used to buy from a local shop Mimosa, before it closed. Our main gripe is that 12 of them arrived broken and had leaked. The broken ones were together in one corner. They need better packing within the box and perhap a more careful courier. I expect more from a chocolate that cost £1.20 each

Shocked at exactly what arrived. Pretty bad value for money, these chocolates are TINY. Glad my mum like the box, but it won't be a repeat purchase. Please understand how bad the prices are for what exactly you are selling from a customer point of view.

The delivery and packaging was very good. However the liqueur chocolates were poor quality and expensive for what I received. The foil wrapping of each liqueur had a sticky residue and the alcohol content of each one was so low it was barely noticeable and the flavour not distinguishable. Chocolate quality itself was average. As such I do not recommend the product.

Very disappointed in presentation. Just in a bit of cellophane. Only six chocolates as well. Too expensive for so little. They were for a Christmas present too.

Not to take away from the taste,but i was brought the coffee collection as a birthday gift as im know for only eating quality chocolate.unfortunatly on opening my box,it seems the box may have been trodden on as most of my chocolates where smashed and a gooey mess in the tray,which took away the luxury of eating and enjoying them,possibly better handling needed for a £27.99 box of daintly chocloates,what a shame.

Bought these Coffee cream chocolates for a friends birthday gift they were pushed through my letterbox and some of them were squashed I had to apologise to my friend as they do cost a lot of money , also apparently there was one chocolate missing . to tell you the truth I’m not happy with the packaging as I have bought them before and they were handed me by the postman in a box … also, as they were a gift, I expected a message on a gift card .. very disappointed indeed very reluctant on buying from you again Susan Wood

I have bought a number of items over the years but fear this may be the last. The chocolates may have been lovely if they were not all burst and broken ( cherry liqueurs). The packaging is inadequate and brings down the service.

Out of the three separate flavours of dark & milk chocolate ginger, the ginger chocolates tasted terrible, slightly moldy taste. The only one I thought tasted good was the walnut and marzipan chocolates. And I love ginger in all of its forms and so was very disappointed.

extremely expensive for what they are Bought for a gift and thought they looked so paltry although they were £15 and with addtiion of delivery charge best part of twenty pounds I could have bought an ordinairy box of belgian chocolates from the local supermarket which were just as attractive if not more so than these for£6 and feel that this company are just exploiting vegan people Would not buyfrom again or recommend to anyone else

On reading the reviews I am definitely in the minority. Nice chocolate but I found the flavours really weak, the Cointreau had no taste at all and the lemon cheesecake just tasted of white chocolate, not a hint of lemon. If I buy a chocolate with a specific filling, then I want to taste that filling. Really disappointed but like I say I seem to be in the minority.

received wrong chocolates and then had to wait for delivery of my order by this time my neices birthday had gone in which case the delivery after that was useless, i wanted to return them but didnt in the end. the chocolates had liquid coming out of them and made everything sticky, not packaged correctly and i wouldnt recommend buying these chocolates
