“I purchased a “York Ham” this Christmas. The ham was good, but not as I remember a traditional York Ham. The texture and taste was nothing like my grandfather’s dry salty hams, that hung in the curing shed.”

“The ham is lovely but on the picture you sho the ham with skin on and when I received mine the skin was off and I don’t like that at all because me and my family love the skin on our ham”

“Porchetta joint was not butchered very well but it was tasty enough. Also never came with the butcher's bands as promised which made tying the joint up a harder task.”

“We had TURKEY BALLOTINE WITH SPICED CRANBERRY & ORANGE STUFFING, and were very disappointed. The turkey parcels were wrapped so tightly that it was impossible to remove the string without destroying the ballotine. The turkey meat was moist, tender and delicious but the presentation was ruined, the stuffing was almost non-existent and the portion was certainly nor adequate for 4 as a main element of the meal. This item is extremely over-sold in the brochure! We also had the RADITIONAL ITALIAN PORCHETTA which we've had before and it was excellent as always.”

“The Dad’s pork pie is wonderful, very tasty, good filling, great jelly and pastry. The turkey Ballantine was very disappointing with fairly tasteless leg meat and very little stuffing.”

“This was my first year ordering from Farmison. I ordered the goose ballotine, sausage meat stuffing and Christmas porchetta. I don’t normally order meat that has been pre prepared and was looking forward to not having the fuss. Unfortunately, the ballotine was unpleasant and dry despite preparing it directly as instructed. The sausage meat was nice but didn’t blow us away. The porchetta was nice but again, the stuffing was disappointing. Overall not a particular success and I’m sorry to say I wouldn’t order pre prepared items again, though I would likely try with plain meats if I was to order again and prepare them at home.”

“Turkey and ham was excellent Service Excellent i.e delivery Beef Wellington quality was quite poor, wife is chef and cooked it but regardless found meat quality wanting, too much mushroom which was not clear in description. Pastry good. Pigs in blankets were ok. Normally love Farmison, some of order was great, some disappointing to be fair.”

“Have tried Farmison products previously and was delighted. This year's Boubon Turkey was average. The ham was tasty but whether it was worth the premium is debatable. The extras ordered such as pigs in blankets were meaty and flavoursome. The star of my order was the self assembly pork pie. Overall I was a little disappointed. Previously would have recommended Farmison without hesitation ...less so this year.”

“Bourbon Red Turkey tasted wonderful but we were disappointed with all the black feathers/black ends left on skin which took us up to an hour to clean up, still many left. Not the clean free range plucked turkey we expected for the price we paid (£130)”

“Unfortunately I am sorry to report the Label Chicken delivered on 20th December, for consumption on the 25th had a rather 'sinister' smell and the Use by Date indicated 24/12/20. On placing the order I did enquire if the bird would be suitable for Christmas Day consumption. I was assured it would be. The service had been good but the products let us down.”

“Ripon smoked ham was good as was the duck sausages but the caramelised onion stuffed chicken breast was so small and there was no way that would feed 4 people it literally was as big as my hand I thought the photo was very misleading so for £25 I was not impressed”

“I'm SO sorry to have to write that my sister received your food hamper (gift from us) and said it all looked beautiful/well packed etc. However, yesterday we spoke and she said they were sadly disappointed with the duck which was extremely 'sinewy'. They were unable to eat it.”

“Normally the meat from Farmison is excellent however the beef wellington I had for christmas fell well below the normal high standard. It was cooked to the recipe and the internal temperature was correct before resting and after the 10 minute rest period but the meat was as tough as old boots. Not up to the usual high standard. However notwithstanding my disappointment I would certainly recommend Farmison to others”

“Giving 3 stars because of costumer service (the beef was faultless). I tried phoning them for 3 days to update my Christmas order as I needed more food. When they finally picked up the phone they told me it was just a wee bit late to order more as the cattle had just gone into processing... obviously if they wouldve been reachable on day one I would've been giving them 5 stars. I understand that Christmas is hectic for these businesses but not picking up the phone for 3 days straight is just not great practice..”

“I ordered three items. The Beef Wellington was excellent. I would rate it 9/10 The turkey was ok. Not brilliant but ok. 6/10 The roast potatoes were poor, insipid and flavourless. 1/10”
