“Great marketing and website. Ultimately the beef was not so tender and the Wellington fell apart. For two portions it was incredibly expensive.”

“Unfortunately my order was incomplete as they were unable to supply the Bone Marrow Melt which I was looking forward to, this was a shame and was only communicated at the very last minute. They did refund me but sadly it made it a rather disappointing experience. The meat was nice but nothing out of this world.”

“I ordered a meat box which I was very pleased with however the frankfurters I also ordered were inedible. The texture was slimy and they had an unpleasant smokiness. Neither me, my wife, son and dog could eat them. Please change the recipe”

“Was so excited having read the reviews to taste different breeds. The chicken and pork chops were delicious but oh so disappointed with shoulder of lamb which was tough so used for casserole the next day, and the Galloway steak was tough . I cooked everything as per the chef instructions o your website. We’ve a few more items to try and hoping they will make up for what we’ve had so far. In view of the prices I did think we would get something sensational. Well packaged.”

“Disappointing...Ordered on Friday 02/10 for Wednesday delivery on 07/10. Tuesday, received the old “due to unforeseen demand” message to say delivery would now be Thursday 08/10.... Wednesday, same message to say Delivery now Friday 09/10.... what a shame. The product is excellent, but let down by the ‘take it or leave it’ attitude when they can’t deliver as agreed”

“Ok so here we go I ordered from you based on excellent marketing I have had the meat balls and the steaks My comparable is Tori and Bens farm shop and their longhorn steaks as well as their meat balls. In truth if their steak is 9/10 yours in 6 at best and to be honest no different to Waitrose Hereford or angus. The meat balls at Tori and Bens are not as tuppy tasting.”

“First order was amazing, arrived well packaged with ice blocks to keep cool. The steaks I ordered were to die for! Although second order came on time also well packaged the meat Quality was poor! Should have gone for cheap Aldi meat over this joint. Will question ordering again.”

“Meat good although the beef had a significant amount of gristle in the centre of the joint. There were significant delivery problems. This was a surprise as I had had an excellent experience with all my previous deliveries. Farmison were helpful in resolving the delivery issue, the courier was not.”

“Order arrived promptly and well packaged. I ordered a mixture of meats I usually buy at my supermarket hoping to taste a big difference. Steak was very good but I really noticed no appreciable difference with whole chicken, sausages, bacon and hamburgers.”

“I normally give Farmison 5 stars, this review is solely for the the mutton leg joint and mutton ribs in the recent order. It was the toughest meat I can remember. The joint chewy I the extreme and took the ribs to my mother’s assuring her it had to be better than the joint, but no. Surprised at you executive chef’s cooking instructions which were more (only?) appropriate for the tenderest of Spring lamb. Did he actually sample the mutton after cooking as recommended? Mutton has always been cooked long and slow so the tough sinews melt away, no? Hugely disappointing though the fox out back would disagree. He though it must be Christmas.”

“Pork butt - cooked today, epic The pichania looks devine, all prepared for sous vide! Short ribs thrown away, the packaging was perforated and the meat was rotten. Overall, excellent product”

“Good delivery and website, but big variability in what you get. Ordered two packs of short ribs, one had lovely marbelling, the other was completely lean - no fat what so ever. I get that meat is going to be different. But i would never have picked the latter from my butchers counter.”
