Deliveries always on time and quality v good too. Only disappointment was the pork belly could not be supplied with skin unscored, so dropped one star for this.

Quality of the meat is excellent, but the butchery is hit and miss, which at these prices is disappointing. First the lamb chops. One pack had 2cm+ fat on 3 out of 4 chops, which is excessive in my book. I wouldn’t have accepted these over the counter from my local butcher (and he wouldn’t have tried to sell them to me). Just opened a couple of packs of the flat iron steaks. In one 2-pack we have one 92gm and one 186gm. That’s over twice as big. Again, not something my local butcher would have done.

We had a guard of honour lamb for Easter but did not like the spicy rub which seemed at odds with the flavour of lamb. The cooking time suggested was no where near enough even bearing in mind that we like our meat pink.

Ordered two TBone Steaks and a pack of bacon. The steaks tasted great and have no complaints. Unfortunately the bacon was so salty it was nearly inedible, left a burning sensation on my tongue. Expected premium quality for the amount paid for it, but all you could taste was the Sodium Nitrate.

I have ordered three joints from Farmison but have only eaten the pork so far Is was juicy and the meat was tender. But I was hoping for more flavour but I didn’t get a rare breed unfortunately it was named as Yorkshire ? It all arrived well packed and with cool packs

I enjoyed the lamb, thought the sausage meat was good but skin was too tough for my liking. I am put off by your very eco unfriendly packaging. If you sorted that I would buy regularly. Do you have any plans to improve this?

We do understand that some of our packaging is not easily recyclable and it has been a project of ours for some time, to find an alternative to the polystyrene that will still perform as well at protecting the freshness of the meat. I am pleased to say that we are getting closer to an alternative and should be launching something later this year. Whilst we can not arrange collections of the boxes we do offer a 'return to us scheme' where you can send the poly box, cardboard box and the ice cells back to us and we will cover the cost of the postage (up to £6) per delivery which is reimbursed by way of a voucher for use on a future shop with us. Delivery service was excellent as usual . The lamb we ordered was lovely , very tender and well worth it. The sirloin steaks we ordered this time were very disappointing, too much gristle and I wouldn’t order them again

The oxtail pieces, some where to big & I couldn’t make them smaller , haven’t tried the mutton yet, but the pieces are smaller .

Disappointed at reduction in choice of breed particularly in beef. Previously choices were available from as many as 5 Heritage Breeds with indications of their provenance. Now cuts seem to be restricted to “heritage breed”

I was not very happy about the delivery of my order & I think this reflects badly on you. Dpd did let me know when my order was arriving & I organised for someone to ge waiting. Then dpd just left the box on the doorstep & didn’t knock or ring the doorbell. I found it there on my return from work, sitting out & very visible. Your products look & taste great. I would be happy to use you again if the delivery issue is corrected.

Product was fantastic and tasty - only criticism was that the use by date was short which meant I had to freeze the product and therefore will have to use later after defrosting which is a bit of a faff..

Our 2nd order from Farmison included 3 packs of sausages. Sadly for us, all varieties were too tightly packed, thick skinned and lacking in flavour. Very rubbery, a real shame as everything else we got was as good as the first time.

Just used one pack of venison chunks. Awful, all sinew and other bits that I spent ages sorting out. I would expect wild venison to be lean, as the steaks are, but obviously we are given the offcuts that, in my opinion, should have been discarded.

The flavour of the lamb was excellent, I ordered 6 racks, unfortunately 4 of them came from the shoulder end. Not as good as the other two.

Not as good as pervious orders. The Pork Belly is lovely and tasty. The 32 day dry aged sirloin steak - Galloway was ok but not as good as the Aberdeen Angus Sirloin and the 14 day dry aged short ribs - heritage I will not be ordering again. It was tough even after being in the slow cooker for 7hrs. We haven't tried the pork loin yet. Disappointed with this order.

Whole chicken delicious Lamb chops far too fatty. A third trimmed off. Tasty but too expensive and inconvenient. Shoulder of pork. Very ineptly butchered. Loose pieces of meat in a haphazardly tied parcel. 100g chunk of rind in a piece to remove. Struggle to re-tie with fresh string as such an awkward shape. Tasty but inconvenient and annoying. Not looking forward to the pork tomahawks to be honest. The farmers are doing a great job of supplying tasty meat. But your butchery is disrespectful to them and to your customers.
