Product delivered swiftly and well packaged. Part of the order was wrong which was disappointing as it was for a party but the difference in cost was reimbursed.

Beef fore rib join was very very fatty, there wasn’t a lot of good meat left after cooking, wouldn’t buy again. Guess this can happen when you order online and can’t see what you’re buying - it worth the risk at Xmas.

I bought the rib of beef which was disappointingly lacking in flavour, and the diced venison. The venison pieces were all different shapes and sizes, some bits attached together by gristle. The casserole that I made was delicious but the venison should have been cut up more evenly.

Unfortunately the chateaubriands I bought this year were not a patch on the meat I bought for two years previously. Had gristle through the meat so not very enjoyable.

There were no cooking instructions. The duck roast was not as good as se anticipated.

The meat was carefully packed and arrived on time. The duck was good and the stuffing tasty, but the cooked tongue lacked flavour and had too much jelly and the meatloaf came without any cooking instructions and was disappointing both in flavour and texture.

When there was a mistake in the delivery Farmison were prompt and very polite in their apology and refund. Would use again, as this seems to have been just a human error thing.

Extremely poor customer service! My partner and I ordered a selection of meats for our Christmas and New year celebrations. As we both work for the NHS in hospitals and would be working on Christmas day, we decided to have an early Christmas dinner together on the Sunday before Christmas. I ordered the meat to my work address after speaking to the customer service team who assured me this would be fine and the DPD driver would send me a message when it was on it's way. However, I got a message on the day telling me the meat was on its way to my home address where noone would be there to collect it. I called the team again and they said it was a "synchronisation error" - no apology or even acknowledgement they had made a mistake. They said they would call me back. They did not call me back but instead I got a message from DPD saying the meat would be delivered the next day instead... To my home address. This was very inconvenient as, again, my partner and I would be working and I was surprised they had not checked this first. My partner offered to work from home the next day to wait for the delivery. To our surprise, there was no message or phone call from Farmison or the courier. We called them and Farmison said the delivery had been destroyed as it wasn't delivered they previous day to my work address due to their mistake and despite the message we received saying it would be delivered. Cheers for letting us know! There, again, was a lot of "umming" and "arring" before they assured us the meat would be delivered before 10am on Sunday morning. This too was very inconvenient as we would have to prepare all the food on our pretend Christmas morning. As 11am on Sunday morning rolled round, the meat still had not arrived. We called again and were told we would be called back. Fuming. An hour and a half later they told us they told us the meat had been delivered TO THE WRONG ADDRESS!! We were furious! How can a company get so much wrong in one order and be so unapologetic and unprofessional. I was appalled by the incompetence of the staff we spoke to over the course of the week and the lack of responsibility taken by anyone. Christmas is stressful enough without having to deal with a mess like this. Thanks, Farmison customer service team and Merry Christmas!!! Edit: Farmison apologised after I wrote this review and gave me a £50 give voucher so I have upped my rating from a 1 to a 3 star rating.

Beef fillet joint was great. Packaging of sausages and bacon looked like there was no care taken when vac packed. Bacon broke into pieces while trying to pull rashers apart. Not sure if I would purchase from here again.

was disappointed when i did not receive the sausage rolls that were ordered the end of November. it would have been nice to have been informed of this so that i could have made other arrangements.

Customer service redeemed you and saved you from getting a “poor”. I ordered hanger steak (excellent), pork pie (excellent), sausagemeat (obvious I needed it for Christmas but had a use by date of 23rd so had to freeze it!) but the thing that really let it all down badly was the fourth item. For too many years than I care to recall we have cooked and pressed an Ox tongue each Christmas. We had one from you last year and it was excellent..the one this year was terrible! Until you cook it you don’t know whether it has been brined long enough..this one hadn’t. When you put it in the press and wind it down some spills out. The hope is that you see beautifully pink meat that has been brined all the way through and you know then it will be a salty taste just as it should be. What spilled out looked like overcooked beef...brown and tasteless! When I emailed with this news, you already had found this out so it was disappointing that you did not call and warn me to save me wasting my time. However you have refunded the item and my dogs enjoyed it, but it spoilt a tradition of over 50 years for my husband, who inherited his Dads press to carry on the annual tongue. Pity.

I wish I could write 2 separate reviews, read further to hear why. Service, quality and taste gets 5 stars. The Bronze Christmas Turkey was the best I've ever prepared, cooked and eaten. 5 stars. I would give 1 star for the cubed pork belly recommended on the site for the barbeque. The pieces were cut so tiny (more like bacon cubed pieces) I lost more than 60% through the barbeque cooking grid. I was so disappointed and even felt a bit cheated as the product was not only hugely different from the advertised photo, but I lost so much quality meat straight out the packet onto the grid.

I bought a goose and a ham to feed my family this Christmas. The ham I cannot complain about as it was far bigger than it should have been and very tasty. The goose was to feed 8 people and was not cheap. It was very tasty, but there was no way enough to feed 4or 5 small appetites, never mind 8!! I feel I received a larger ham to compensate the small goose which did disappoint myself and my family as we all only got a small taste of the goose. The quality was very good but just disappointment in the goose size

Although the Ordering, Delivery, Turkey, Sausages were great the fact that my Turkey had a use by date of 24th December was really annoying as I had it delivered Friday 20th December. I will probably go to a local butcher and order a turkey.

CLOSER TO 4 STAR THAN 2. BUT YOU NEED TO BE BETTER VALUE FOR MONEY FOR THE 4. Love the idea. Wasn't overly loving the actual meat. Lamb rack was great. Beef brisket was alright but seemed pretty tough considering the amount of slow cook I gave it {8 hour}. Bacon went off very quickly and I got sent the incorrect sauce. Understand it is a busy time of year etc but I definitely expect better for the cost...and I had £20 off. Supply was on time and packaged very well.

Like the curate's egg, this order was good in parts, and sadly awful in others. The positives: very good communication, delivery on time. The sugar pit bacon joint delicious. Real depth of flavour. The neutral: Why are you wrapping a polystyrene box in cardboard? Double the packaging .... and many customers like me actively HATE polystyrene. The stuffing (pork with dark fruits and juniper) split opinion around our table. One person liked it. The other five found it far far to heavy on juniper. The roast potatoes were very average. We cooked them at the temperature and for the time recommended and they were still soggy. We gave them another half an hour at a higher temperature and they were still partly watery, partly crispy with a real strong aftertaste and mouth feel of fat. A very expensive mistake. The negative. The mini sausage rolls for cooking. photo attached of how they arrived. Gently persevered and separated and cooked them. they are TINY. they also tasted AWFUL. Badly seasoned sausagemeat which was on the turn to sour. Tough cheap pastry which did not puff. Sorry Farmison but these really were a terrible travesty.

Meat good.( venison) Click and collect on the Saturday morning didn’t work so well. No one would answer the bell although I could see people having coffee together in the dining area. I was in a bit of a hurry as I had a meeting to go to and eventually someone from another area came to my rescue and found my order. It all took far longer than I had expected.

Seems good , I have had a few things orders and the meat is ok. There’s far to much packaging on in the products I feel like it could really be cut down given the current climate. The beef mince isn’t great quality I have had better from a supermarket and I try to buy everything from butchers and it was the worst I have ever had.

good products but a disasterous amount of packagin. I called to so I wont be buying from you again if I get that amount of packaging again. Made worse by the fact you dont accept it back.
