Unusually disappointed with Farmison this time. First, hot dogs were said to unavailable 1 day before a booked delivery, second, the curry dogs were tough, third, the slider buns were pretty unimpressive and the sliders themselves had to be reformed before cooking and were much smaller than the buns (though tasty). Am a big fan of Farmison usually but felt slightly let down this time.

I bought the Dad pie, I loved the experience of baking it and preparing the jelly and the pie was good. However, for a weekend delivery it was over £23 which makes for a VERY expensive pie. Not sustainable. Also the baking instructions were wrong which meant I added the jelly at the wrong time.

Have been shopping here for quite a while now. Initially meat was excellent but in the last few months there has been a noticeable drop in quality. I have stopped buying sirloin and fillet steak because there is too much inconsistency in the quality for what is sold and priced as a premium product. Have bought the Aberdeen Angus beef rib on a regular basis but the last 2 joints has seen more go in the bin than has been eaten. I also buy the baby back pork ribs which seem to have stopped coming as a rack of ribs and now consist of multiple small pieces of about 3 or 4 ribs each. I recently recommended a friend who bought Some meat to try and he was very disappointed with the quality of the meat and the standard of butchery. Things need to improve to get back to where they were before Christmas or I will be looking for a new supplier.

We had 2 200g rump steaks. For what was meant to be premium product, I didn't find it that flavoursome, relatively tough and gristle/fat piece left over after eating it. It didn't warrant the premium cost. The shoulders of lamb look rather fatty, but not had those yet. My current impression is that it's overpriced, even with the discount.

The meat delivered was very good quality. And was happy with the product. But having parcel force for delivery's let you down. The driver had instructions to leave with neighbour if not in, he rang the bell left the parcel on doorstep and drove off not waiting to see if someone was in. Had i not been in package was on the doorstep for any passer by to steal. So it is the delivery service you use that has let you down, and not sure I'd take that risk again.

A very tasty piece of meat however they lack the ability to see the product you're buying. The rib roast that i bought was very tasty but had large pieces of fat rather than good marbling, something that i could have spotted having gone to a good local butcher. That being said the delivery service was excellent so if your local butcher doesnt have the particular cut you require not a bad reserve option at all.

I have to say I was disappointed with the baby back ribs I ordered. The quality of meat was very good but I was expecting a full rack whereas these were more like half a rack each. They weren’t cut particularly well either with some small riblet bones in the rack and quite scrappy with bits of meat hanging off.

First off, this is a partial review. I have not tried all products in my order, just 2 pork rib racks. I just would say that the amount of meat on these racks was a little small. I've had much bigger ribs in the past from grocery stores. The meat was tasty, but as I say portion wise they were a bit on the skinny side with not very much meat between ribs.

Love your work - although we got caught short of the chicken burgers which went off when we froze and re -thawed our fault I'm sure but a lesson for us to manage carefully in future...

I ordered several products from Farmison, with various degrees of success. The merguez sausages were very nice. The chicken Kiev however had pretty much no garlic taste to it, though the crunch of the crust was the best I ever found. The oxtail had a very off smell to it when it came out of the packet and made its way to the bin straight away. The chicken ballotine were nice. All in all I found the whole thing a bit haphazard.

Was disappointed with the Aberdeen angus rump join, nothing like the picture, virtually no fat on it. I cooked it well, pink in the centre but tough, we are farmers and thought it was not 32 day aged. Had previous products which were good.

Ordered a half leg of lamb and a beef brisket for Easter. Service and delivery were excellent and the lamb was beautiful, unfortunately the brisket contained a very large fat content and was very tough, making it largely inedible.

Ordered a suckling pig [ Spanish-Segovia ],received tel call to say they did not have them, but had despatched an English version, [ which was to large for my oven ].i would have liked a choice !. I am now due a credit of £5,which was promised via a voucher, which never arrived. I only wrote this review,as I was prompted to do so via a farmison email. George

Certainly the choice is good and the delivery service was better than many: the items hadn’t been frozen and were at a good (cold) temperature on arrival in Devon. We very much look forward to trying the Aberdeen Angus picanna, which is a good find - a cut we particularly like. Unfortunately, the first item out of our box of treats, a rolled pork belly joint, was a real let-down. We’ve tasted far better than this chewy and gloopy meat. The jury is therefore out...

Previously your ribs of beef have been excellent but the latest one was only fair -certainly not worth £70. It was morbidly fatty (for a couple who love a fatty beef joint). As it was a large animal we only got 2 ribs and with all the fat I was unable to carve slices (I know rib of beef is not the easiest to carve but this was impossible - I should have been advised to have it off the bone. We will not order again unless you can convince me this was a one off.

I bought a six-delivery package of different beef cuts for my parents. The product when received was excellent and they thoroughly enjoyed. The issue was with the admin needed to obtain the order, when I bought the package I was under the impression that I would place one order and then the six cuts would be sent out regularly thereafter. Turns out I had bought six vouchers and had to place an order for each one, the ordering is not straight forward with multiple clicks and pages to fill. Honestly, it just became a pain for both me and my parents and rather spoiled the experience.

The rare breed pork was very succulent and tasty, and the cooking instructions were good, but none of the skin had been scored, as it should have been. As rare breed pigs have tough skins, it proved impossible for us to do ourselves, even with our sharpest knife, so the crackling on all of our four joints was soggy. Although not related to this product, I am also very disappointed that Farmison should think that their customers want to receive a marketing email a day, sometimes even more than one. Too many!

Large prime rib, 40 day matured wasnt too bad. It was delivered on time in a vacuum packed well insulated and ice packed polystyrene box. To be honest I was expecting the meat to be more flavourful given what we paid for it.

The product is great and I really love that you stand for supporting farmers and the production of higher welfare meat. However I find the customer service to be more or less non-existent. After buying a meat box, I was automatically signed up to a monthly direct debit which was taken from my account without my explicit consent. This sent me into my overdraft. Due to hours I work I have been consistently unable to speak to Farmison & Co about this, as they have very limited hours on their telephone lines and have refused to correspond with me in connection with the matter via email. I am fuming and fairly confident that their use of my data (bank details) contravenes GDPR, a matter which I am considering taking further. It is SO disappointing as the product is great, the website user friendly and the delivery expedient. I had previously recommended to family and friends, having spent £100s, but believe that their customer service is poor and I do not like their underhanded direct debit.
