Pleased with the quality of the meat products I received in my latest order. However, very disappointed at the cooking instructions for the beef topside joint - I followed to the letter and cooked at 170c until core temp was 56c (measured with a probe) then rested for 20 minutes under foil, expecting it to be medium rare. Internal temp reached 66c by the end of that time, resulting in medium well. A real disappointment, given it was the centrepiece of a Sunday roast! Flavour still good but definitely not the right colour/texture/consistency.

We recently ordered ready made chicken Kievs. The quality of the chicken was very good. The ingredients used for the filling very good. Unfortunately, the packaging for the 4 portions was very poor! Infact, all 4 kievs were stuck to one another. Therefore, effecting the breadcrumb coating. They should have been packaged separately! Not up to your usual high standards!!! An oversite, I'm sure???

We bought a rump joint, and a pair 60 day rump steaks, the rump joint was good but not as good as we expected from selected breeds, the steaks were for my parents unfortunately not very good at all they found them quite tough.

Delivery was quick and the packaging was excellent, however the kievs could have been better covered with crumbs and that it came off too easily when handled. They would have been tastier with a lot more garlic and a lot lot less parsley in the butter.

I purchased two pieces of beef, a 2kg Brisket and a piece of Chateaubriand. The items arrived exactly when I had asked them to arrive, the package was very well wrapped, the ice packs inside the polystyrene box were still frozen, so I'm sure it was a speedy delivery. Unfortunately, the brisket didn't live up to what I thought it should be. I didn't know this at the time of ordering (subsequently found out after research) but brisket comes in two varieties, Flat and point. I believe the joint I received was point brisket as it was a rolled piece of meat, with an awful lot of fat on both the outside and through the whole centre of the joint. Even slow cooking for 10 hours didn't melt these layers of fat and to be honest, the meat tasted more of fat than of beef. Unfortunately, we had to throw away the joint as none of the family could eat it. I'm not sure if there is a way to request the flat brisket with smaller amounts of fat? if so, then I would definitely do this next time. I've not cooked the other piece of meat yet, this will be done within the next couple of days. But it looks very good quality... so I'm sure it will be just fine.

The website was very clear, and the service excellent. I really appreciated being able to choose between farmers in different locations. The heritage chicken was delicious and made the best stock ever. The rib eye steaks weren’t quite as good as I expected. They were rather tough, and tasted of stale blood. The gammon shank was mostly delicious, but a section near the bone tasted off, as if the cure was incomplete. So - top marks for concept and service, but the meat in my delivery was not uniformly excellent, unfortunately.

I thought that the pieces of meat would have been a bit larger than the ones i got ,as they said it would feed four people . Also for what i got i thought it was very expensive .

Have had bad experience over the years with poor tasting / tough beef, have tried all the supermarkets and lots online, so ordered couple of cuts of beef + FIERCE HORSERADISH CREAM. Well sauce is definitely not fierce!! piece of rib was OK but still no knock out taste :( Hope topside will be better.

The delivery and packaging was very good but slightly disappointed with the bacon and mutton chops. Both had excessive amounts of fat the bacon was approx 50% fat to meat I know you will get some fat but did not expect this much. The black pudding is delicious haven't tried the burgers yet.

Bacon was very salty couldnt even eat it. Wagyu burgers were very avarge. Beef short ribs were not very trnder, even though I brased them for 4 hours. Also they were cut not equal, one was massive other two were small which wasnt good for portioning. Bone marrow canoes were delicious, but they were too small. And the best thing was the 60 day dry aged sirloin, really enjoyed that steak amzing flavour profile. Other than that quick delivery, great packaging.

Having enjoyed meat from Farmison before, we were very disappointed with the rib of beef we got for Christmas, as for the money it was tiny. We’ve paid a lot less from other online free range butchers for a much bigger joint. The meat was also distinctly average. Not worth the large price tag. I’d probably just go back to the other online agents next time or go store bought for Christmas. That said Farmison products are good for everyday meat and we would use them again for that, but not for that important big day dinner.

Ordered large smoked gammon for Christmas. Delivered on time in excellent packaging. Meat was good but not amazing as price paid promised. Overall just a little underwhelmed .....

The dilivery was fine i guess cos when i got it notice it wss dilivered in a save place it was outside my door lucky i was at home no one even rang the door i think you should use diffrent dilivery service. The turkey was eh idk alot of yhe feather bits were still in the skin ans was inpisible to pull out so basically no one ate the skin meat was okay overal not too impressed

The duck was plenty big enough for the 5 of us,but unfortunately not enough duck and too much stuffing!! which was areal pity.

I ordered from you for the first time buying sausage meat, goose breasts and a 45 days aged piece of Wing Rib Beef for last night (New Year’s Eve). The sausage meat, part of Xmas Day lunch, was good. The goose breasts OK but we were disappointed with the Wing Rib last night! Certainly not worth the price you charged and I think the Tesco Forerib I had before Xmas, half price offer priced at £11.50 per kg, tasted better than yours last night - it was nice but nothing special which, to be honest, I was expecting so I’ll not be ordering this again. In all other aspects I found Farmison & Co to be very efficient from the confirming email of my order I received to the packing and delivery of my order. It was so excellent that I emailed your Customer Service Department to praise you for excellent service just a shame about the contents of the package!

I bought a goose for Christmas which was really good quality but Parcelforce were a nightmare; they didn't listen to instructions, were really hard to talk to and rude. Whilst the produce was amazing, I wouldn't use the service again whilst they still use Parcelforce as their courier

The box of meat arrived promptly on time and in good condition. The pork loin joint was delicious-flavoursome and tender. Unfortunately the geese breasts were very tough and tasteless even though I cooked them exactly as was suggested by you.A disappointment.

The meat is of a good quality but expensive, the trimmings are very average and probably not worth purchasing. Packaging good

Farmison products are good, but their delivery system is third-rate. My Xmas order was delivered a day late and the explanation was that a driver had been taken off my route to help out on another. So there is a question of competence and trust.
