“Some was good some was bad, the denver steak was so tough i couldnt even bash it out with a meat hammer, but the onglet and skirt were nice. but i find the site pricey, i can get good meat at waitrose and often a bargain, on your site its pretty much the same offers all the time.”

“Gripe that the polystyrene box fr delivery is very un eco, I have meat delivered from another company which uses completely biodegradable boxes. Am rather disappointed with the canon of lambs, a bit pathetic amount of meat on them, not like some I ve had in the past. It must have been a skinny lamb! partridge however are nice and lump.....may be should be feeding the lamb on some of what they are getting.”

“The sausage and black pudding we're excellent but the rolled rib of beef off the bone was disappointing. It had flavor but despite careful cooking according to the instructions it was rather chewy.”

“The meat ( we ordered some porterhouse and some T Bone Steaks) were very good. Delivery was quick and efficient. However I nearly gave up at the beginning during ordering because when I telephoned, there was no answer and it went to voice messaging, which told me it was full? and couldn't leave a message. I am guessing that when it's lunchtime, everything closes down, and it was frustrating I couldn't leave a message. In the end , I did try again later on, and a very helpful customer service sorted me out”

“Farmison came highly recommended, so we bought 4 flat iron steaks. The first 2 we tried were disappointingly gristly. We will try the remaining 2 rather than returning them, but if they are the same, I doubt we will be doing any repeat business. Such a pity.”

“I ordered ossobuco and one of the stakes was only bone, no meat at all... On top of which the bone had no bone marrow in it at all! Just putting on weight!”

“Asked butcher to trim the fat off and not roll the brisket. Didn't do much of a job of removing the fat - I had to spend a long time doing it myself. Last Brisket I had from Farmison was better.”

“Cannot fault delivery or customer service excellent. Unfortunately the quality of their products does not match the hype. The meat delivered does not look like the product picture. Braising steak was rolls of meat and the salmon cut beef was tough and inedible, I did receive vouchers for this. The leg of lamb was a fillet and not a leg, tending towards mutton toughness. Supreme chicken breasts seem to be too large and were also tough. Unfortunately I am one of the older generation and can remember meat when it really was tender and flavoursome. I thought I would give Farmison a try as I am prepared to pay for quality products. The other problem for us is that there are only two of us at home now, so large quantities are no good to us.”

“The delivery and packaging of the meat ordered was A1, however the meat ( Italian Porchetta ) was disappointing, not at all like the real thing and not even much of any flavour.”

“Although the original purchase was not acceptable and a credit not to the full amount was given, when the second parcel arrived with our alternative choice we were disappointed with the value we received. The packaging on both occasions was exceptional and could not be bettered. The meat was packed in a polystyrene container with ice blocks inside which remained cool for a good while after delivery. This is why we scored the rating as average. What is really disappointing is the poor value for money on the goods. In summary a very good but expensive company.”

“I ordered 3 items one of which was out of stock but I wasn't advised until the day before delivery. As the item was required for Christmas this was not too much of a problem but may have been if I was planning a dinner party the following day. I also ordered a Porchetta joint which I was looking forward to following previous reviews; however, the joint I received contained a much larger proportion of fat than expected. The joint was rolled and much of the skin was inside the roast itself rather than providing the delicious crackling I expected. Whilst I appreciate that pork can contain a higher proportion of fat than other meats I was disappointed with the actual amount of meat the joint contained. I was only feeding 3 adults and 2 toddlers and for a cost of £29.00 I fully expected to be able to provide more than one sandwich from the leftovers! Based on this I am unlikely to order further items which is a shame as the pork meat we did have was delicious.”

“We ordered goose and the result of the cooking was "okay" - the meat was not very tender. Now I cant say whether it was a fault of the meat, or of the cooking procedure. Delivery was ok, everything arrived well packaged at the right time. Pigs in blankets were good and tasty!”

“We ordered the three bird roast: turkey, duck & pheasant. The delivery was as advised, with a one hour window given on the day. The delivery was well packaged and appeared good quality. The only disappointment was the amount of duck and pheasant.... when slicing the roast we found it to be about 90% turkey. I was under the impression that the majority would be turkey, with a fair amount of duck and a small amount of pheasant. In our order there appears to have been very little pheasant and no duck. We won't be ordering this three bird roast from Farmison again. This is a real shame for we received a good quality product, it just hasn't met our expectation.”
