“Chicken was ok, sausage was tasty ,burgers where fine, steak nothing special ,, lamb steaks average , overall compared with local butchers ,expensive”

“The pork roasting joint was excellent and the bacon interesting and of a good quality. 2 of the 3 fillet tails were, however, inedible and we ended up giving them to the dog-a rather expensive treat! We are yet to try the chicken or beef roasting joint.”

“Customer service and delivery outstanding!! Disappointed in the chicken legs & pork chops - nothing special for price! Sausages & bacon nice quality but both contained additives which im trying to avoid. Dissapointed!, as website did not disclose this information!”

“Prompt delivery was good. Well packaged as well. We've cooked and rated the silverside which was fine and the flat iron steaks which were tough and tasteless. Everything else is frozen so we'll see how they are before ordering anything again from Farmison.”

“This is the second time that I have ordered a fore end rib beef joint - last year was superb.. this year was way more fatty - so a little disappointed. Burgers were very good....”

“The black pudding was excellent. The Brisket Joint, although I followed your chefs recipe to the letter, was tough but with good taste. The Flat Pork Belly another purchase with the recipe followed to the letter was delicious. So I expect 2 out of 3 can't be too bad although I expected much more from the beef. Would I buy again, that needs to be thought about.”

“The delivery and presentation was very good, after buying two big steaks one Tomahawk and one cote de beouf, I found them both to be quite fatty. Now I understand there not fillet steak but it wasn’t the nice soft fat it was the chewy kind and even hard to cut through with a sharp steak knife and I basically lost a lot of the steaks due to not being able to eat it. On the other hand the mince was probably the best I’ve tasted.”

“The pork itself was excellent. Unfortunately the ‘porchetta’ preparation was minimal and disappointing. I ordered the Italian version rather than the black pudding option and despite the invoice showing it as the black pudding version it was in fact the Italian one. I was entertaining Italians and had led them to believe that the porchetta would be exceptional but fennel seeds and garlic only superficially enhanced the succulent meat. Had I realised how minimal the stuffing would be I would have unrolled the meat and made an authentic porchetta filling myself before roasting it. If you would like an authentic recipe for true porchetta I’ll happily oblige.”

“The 2 fore rib of beef was very tasty. However I ordered Hereford and received short horn. I ordered Hereford for a reason! Disappointing really!!”

“The three bird roast, bacon, sausage meat and pigs in blankets were very nice (4 out of 5). The rib of beef was awful. It completely spoilt my dinner party. It was so tough, my guests could not cut it , I even blamed the knifes and gave everyone sharper knives, but still inedible. Very embarrassing, very upset, complete waste of money (0 out of 5).”

“The website is fantastic. I paid for a specific delivery date. Just before I got an email saying the goose would not be delivered on that date with no explanation if I would be getting a delivery at all. I called customer services who said that the geese were not of good enough quality but I would be getting one two days later than expected. The goose came then and the packaging was really good. I realise that goose is not the most generous bird but on Christmas Day it was very disappointing to find that there was just about enough meat for four of us. It was a very expensive mistake.”

“OK Goose breasts not hung due to bad weather but 100% refund due to being chewy. Mince beef, mutton and lamb all excellent. Burgers- arghh cheap seasoning + MSG, fail.”

“We have enjoyed most of what we ordered, Duck, Lamb and Gammon all lovely. The 2 Cumberland sausages were inedible, far too much pepper meant our local foxes had Christmas eve banquet.”

“Rib of beef tasty but fatty only enough for 3 people at the most so luckily this was not the main course.have had rib of beef before hence order ut wont order again.Must reiterate meat was tasty turkey which not had at xmas before was excellent as was the very impressive casserole beef”
