We got there in the end! My fault for not knowing I needed to use a password I had not realised even existed. Easier to talk in person or email full details rather than send a help sheet which doesn't spell out what is required. Thanks for solving the issue in the end.

The only potential improvement would be better feedback from the broadband team to the support advisor - we were left without any feedback for many hours, then the connection suddenly came back to life. Some sort of progress indicator (emails saying checking problem - fault detected - equipment replaced/reset or similar) would have made it less stressful as a user (even if they don't tell the exact truth :) )

Swift response. Helpful advice. As a non-techie my comment on the advice, however, is I am not sure which Control Panel is being talked about: "This is expected behaviour as you have your account connected to Windows. You can remove the account's password by going to the Control Panel > Credential Manager > Remove the saved credentials." Hence mark of Good rather than Very Good.
