Hello Margaret, Thank you for your message. I am sorry but at the moment we do not offer free returns I am afraid, this is something we are currently looking into. You can return your order to anyone of our shops within 35 days or return them to us via Collect + which we find is the cheapest option at the moment. Kind regards, Rosie Nixon.

Lovely shoes arrived promptly. Unfortunately they were to big for my daughter so had to return them. I clearly did not read the small print as I was disappointed to find i had to pay the postage to return them. A little odd I thought for a company selling children's shoes!

Goods arrived in good condition, my only criticism would by my shoes took a week to arrive, so no good if in a hurry

I was treated well by the staff in your shop. however I was disappointed with your policies. the shoes that I wanted which were on display were out of stock so I asked if I could have a discount with the ones that were on display as they had been used by other customers to try on and showed signs of ware. I was told that was not possible, the staff told me they could order the shoes I wanted so I agreed. I was still disappointed when I was told I had to pay the full price (and not a deposit) for the shoes which I had not received at that point.

We do strive to source our customers perfect shoes, rather than sell shoes that are substandard or badly marked - I can only imagine this is what happened in store. Please be advised I will look into this further to ensure that the policies and procedures in place in store are correct. In store, you placed an order similar to one online, which secures the stock for you and prevents other people ordering it - including those on our website. We take payment in full, to ensure fairness to all of our customer's both in store and online. I purchased a handbag from you last summer which has served me well. I am tempted to buy another but just wish you would give the dimensions then it gives me some idea of the sizes.

I bought a pair of ankle boots on Sunday 21st Sept. 2014. When I arrived home I noticed that one button was not sewn on securely - the leather thread was broken. I telephoned the next day to say I would need to bring them back for a replacement. As I live about 20 miles from the shop it took until today, Thursday, to find the time to go back. I was very disappointed to find that there is no replacement in stock and I have to re-order the item. This will entail a third trip to the shop. It woul dhave been nice if the person who took my phone call had offered to see if the item was int stock at that time and she could have reserved a pair for me.

Delivery was quick, disappointed that I have to pay for delivery of returns. I feel that this information wasn't as prominent on the website as it could have been. It is unusual to have to pay for returns these days.

The shoes I ordered were marked. I have sent them back and requested a replacement. I spoke to someone on the phone regarding this and although it was confirmed that a replacement would be sent, I have not received them yet. Disappointed to have to wait for a perfect pair of shoes.

I was extremely happy with the product , thank you. The reason the rating is not higher is that compared to all other online purchases I have made the delivery was very slow.

Good choice of shoes and boots. Easy shopping experience. However was stung by a very hefty bill for returning the shoes I ordered. Would use again if there was free returns.

Good service but the boots did have a slight mark on them which I have managed to get out . perhaps checks from the warehouse need to be more intense?

Good delivery time. I ordered a pair of Lelli Kelly school shoes which came with a free gift unfortunately I didn't receive the free gift in the package with the shoes. Which as you can imagine left my four year old in tears as She was looking forward to the make up palette that came with shoes. I had to contact the customer service department to get an item which should have been packaged with the shoes. The missing item has since arrived some 4 days after the shoes. It was my first time ordering shoes over the internet and I don't think I'll be using this company's internet service again. I will purchase my little girls Lelli Kelly's from Selfridges from now on.

The shoe colour was not as shown on the page it was a totally different light khaki. The box said stone. However the colour was not stone.

The products offered are very good. The web site has a couple of glitches like photographs not opening or not available. In addition, the product having a photograph in each colour is not available on all products. In addition, when attempting to use a UK credit card with an offshore billing address, I received emails that this was not possible, which meant I was denied the ability to pay for goods without any currency conversions or commission. This meant my purchase cost ended up considerably higher than wanted. I should point out the latter was not a website glitch but advice from staff member who wrote that I would not be able to use my Lloyds Card.

After purchasing 2 pairs of new school shoes at £85 on the 9th march I was disappointed when after 5 months both set were faulty and had started to drop to bits . After coming into store the manager agreed the shoes were faulty and after a long discussion offered a 50 % reduction on a new pair . The other pair she said she couldnt do anything for me as my son's feet had grown by a size but offer an exchange in the same size . If she had offered an exchange because of a product being faulty I thought under statutory rights i would also have the option to have a refund . Apparently not according to the manager of your darlington store.In the end she gave me 50% reduction on new shoes in a bigger size and said next time if they go faulty within 3 months they wont quibble I can have an exchange but it I thought the current guidelines was it a product should develop a fault you have 6months to request a refund exchange . Anyway sorry to ramble shoes are great , staff who fitted shoes were great just a shame theres not a clear policy in store about if something goes faulty what my rights are .

I would rate the customer service I received at Charles Clinkard very highly. You are however badly let down by the delivery company that you use, and this is very unfortunate. The company in question delivered my order to the wrong address (number 11 rather than number 1/1). When I phoned up after receiving a message informing me that the delivery had been unsuccessful, the person I spoke to refused to acknowledge that her company had made a mistake with my address. She was adamant that I was the one in the wrong, that I was the one who had entered the incorrect address. This is not the case, and it doesn't look like it was Charles Clinkard's fault either, because I checked the emails confirming my order. Because of this I would I'm afraid be reluctant to buy from you online again, unless you could guarantee a better, more professional service from the delivery company that you use.

I have been investigating into your issue and it does appear that the delivery company had misinterpreted the address, so please accept my apologies about this on their behalf. Our delivery method reflects on our business as a whole so naturally I am disappointed that their service hasn't matched that of our own and what we would expect our customers to experience. You can request an alternative delivery method like Royal Mail if you wish - you just need to contact us upon placing your order, or include your wishes in the special instructions section at the Checkout page. Please be aware though that Interlink are generally really good and I do think that this was an isolated incident - so I hope it hasn't put you off! Quick delivery and overall satisfaction with service - one small niggle is that the clogs I purchased were described as having 'wooden soles' which was incorrect and initially made me want to return them. Once I realised I would have to pay to return them, I decided to keep them as they are very comfortable, but juts not quite as stylish as I was led to believe. Otherwise, I love your website and the variety you offer.
