Can't say it was brilliant because when my toddlers shoes arrived one was a size 6.5G and the other a 5.5F!!!! Customer service is good though.

Ordered 2 pairs of sandals for my daughters. Unfortunately one of the pairs was incorrect and in the wrong box! Sadly the shoe was then unavailable. Not the best buying experience. Customer services were helpful and pleasant though even if they couldn't rectify the problem.

I saw some sandles on the website, it said they were low stock. My daughter offered to call in the branch in Leeds in her lunch hour to see if they were available in store . My daugher was informed that the sandles were out of stock so she informed the assistant that they were low stock on line to which the assistant replied that the product would be out of stock on line if they are not in the store and never offered to look online. I dont know if my daughter just caught the member of staff at a bad moment but this was very bad customer service. I subsequently ordered the sandles on line and picked them up in store, and when I picked them up the assistant who dealt with me was very friendly and helpful. Perhaps she could give a few tips to the assistant my daughter dealt with.

Speedy service, but the shoes were listed on the website as a size 36/3 and the Timberland sizing is size 3.5

The actual internet service was excellent but unfortunately 2 stars were lost due to the attitude of the staff in the Ilkley store on Sunday morning when I returned the goods. I already have 2 pairs of the same style Reicher shoe I was returning and the fit of these ( in a different colour) was entirely different. They were uninterested and when I asked if they had any other colours said not if they weren't out. No alternative was suggested. They obviously hadn't listened as when they were filling in the form asked 'are they too small' ,They then insisted on keeping the whole of my receipt although did offer a photocopy when I queried it. As a store I like Clinkards but will go to Leeds in future where the staff are always helpful and listen to customers.

I have bought footwear from CK before with mixed results. On this occasion I found the trainers did not appear as the photograph depicted, although there was nothing wrong with the trainers per se. I found that they looked oversize instead of slim and didn't suit the purpose I bought them for; summer wear with shorts. I also ordered a size 10 (which they were) but looked and felt at least a 10.5. It is also disappointing to have to pay £5 to return them.

Buying experience was fine and as the pair of fitflops I wanted were sized incorrectly the assistant offered to order them in for me in the correct size. What I didn't understand was, as your website offers free delivery, why I was not offered the option to have them delivered to my home instead of having to make another special journey into town to collect.

Very comfortable shoes but had to wait days for item that was free delivery!! However for the price you pay I think items should be dispatched as soon as possible for the next day delivery. I dislike saying this but I bought the same pair of shoes for the same price but in another colour from another company. Received item the next working day !!!

The purchase process on the site was fine. However, after five days, I had to chase up with an email to find out when my shoes would be shipped. A bit poor if I have to follow up instead of you keeping me up to date.

A mistake was made and I received a non-matching pair of shoes. I telephoned and was dealt with courteously. Received a further email enclosing a free postage Collect label to return the shoes. Have now received the correct shoes approx 5 days later.

Delivery was free, which is a bonus, although a little slow probably due to the sale. Free returns would be nice and I'm sure tis used to be offered. Overall pleased with the service.

I had made a few purchases and also placed an order in store. Unfortunately a few things went wrong and I had to return to store to sort the issues with my order out. The supervisor helping me was very frustrating to deal with and even though all issues were resolved I left your store an unhappy and very irate customer.

The service from Charles Clinkard was excellent - my Birkenstock sandals arrived very promptly BUT the sandals themselves are very wide for my feet and I have had to have an extra hole cut in the straps. I suppose I should have expected this as I know Birkenstock offer a narrow fitting but these are extremely difficult to get hold of (I have tried repeatedly) so I settled for the normal fit. Big mistake. Make my feet look enormous. However, not Charles Clinkard's fault - all my own.

Gabor shoes fine. Service could be better. No confirmation on order so had to phone. Left wondering when shoes would arrive so this part of your service could definitely be improved.

There was no problem with your service, however when I received the shoes there was an obvious fault on one shoe and the label showing the price change was stuck so heavily on the foot side of the shoe that, although I tried to remove it carefully, removed part of the name Zodiaco. I photographed both faults to your company and was offered a 10% discount on the price. There wasn't another pair available so I have returned them and am awaiting a refund. I purchased a pair from another company. It leads me to believe that the reduction in price is because the product was faulty.

Slow postage with no much in way of tracking. Still cheaper than clarks, I would have paid £30 for same children's shies that I paid £18 with free postage so suppose I can't moan.

The shoes were posted in good time - so well done Charles Clinkard. However, not that impressed again with the courier company - although improved on last time. I wrote on the order that the parcel could be left with any of my neighbours - there are 4 as I live on a corner plot, most of whom are retired. However, the message did not get through to the driver - so he left a card. I then e mailed the courier and asked for him to leave the shoes in another place and that message obviously got through - so shoes arrived eventually. My preference would be to use a courier that has collection points nearby ie Royal Mail as I work full time. Unfortunately Interlinks is 15 miles away.
