Hello, Thank you for your feedback. Please accept my apologies that we were forced to cancel one of the items off your order. It is never our intention to do this and we do it as a last resort. Unfortunately, when the sale is on and the prices are reduced, multiple orders for the same item can cause this to happen. We do avoid it where possible, and we will source it from our stores if it is available. In your instance, I am afraid we were left with no other option but to cancel. Lovely shoes for my daughter although disappointed that two different a size shoes were sent out initially. However, customer service representative was excellent and sent a new pair which arrived the next day. Was also emailed a postage returns for other pair. Overall was happy and would recommend.

The slippers I ordered and received are labelled as UK 12 EU 46 but these appear to be a size too small and are more like UK 11's. I've noticed that a lot of UK footwear suppliers are importing from China and other far eastern countries and are not checking the sizes that the manufacturers from these countries are stamping on the footwear, against the standard UK sizes that most UK customers would be familiar with. This is making shopping online for footwear very difficult.

Price on site was incorrect so had to call to have this corrected. When boots arrived I had been charged the higher incorrect price. Had to call again, not a freephone number, to get a refund. Calls cost me over £2 with waiting. Very happy with boots but not the site or service this time .

Hello there, I thought the ordering and delivery process was very good. However I did notice on the delivery notes something about if the goods were returned and the box damaged, a charge would be made. However, the box was looking a little dog-eared when the boots arrived, so I wouldn't have been too happy about being charged if I'd returned the goods. There was what I'm guessing is a a small grease mark or scrape on one of the boots there was a sense of them not being 'box-fresh' - as thought someone had worn them about the house (although not outdoors). I have kept the boots because on the whole I'm happy with them, but perhaps it would be worth addressing my concerns above. Kind regards, Jeanette James

We do state on our website that we source shoes from our stores so they may not be box fresh they may have been tried on in our stores this is more common with sale items as they have been in the business longer. Due to the item you bought been in the sale this could also account for the damage to the box however the boots should have been re boxed if there was considerable damage and I will pass your comments onto our dispatch department. We very rarely charge for re boxing and this is usually when shoes are returned to us without the box or the box has been damaged deliberately. I received my Clarkes Morgan Carla boots in good time and good condition.I was disappointed that the price tag that was on the boots was £20 cheaper than the price which I paid on line.

pleased with the boots cannot fault them my only gripe at the checkout it said click here for an extra £1 of your purchase but it didnt apply it so why tell coustomers to do it of your not going to honour it

Goods arrived promptly however as boxes were not sturdy they had been crushed a little bit due to not being placed into another box or wrapped in bubble wrap for example to prevent this so giving these as a present was not as good as it could have been. Couriers do not handle packages with the care you would like to think they do and goods are often crushed under other parcels. If you used a sturdy outer carton then purchases would arrive in a much better condition.

Rather slow to deliver and very poor service when I went in to collect boots due to few staff and very young uncommunicative staff

I purchased an Aspen handbag as a gift for my mother and she is very delighted with it. It was described as SIRCO CANVAS REMOVABLE STRAP HANDBAG, but it was labelled Aspen, not Sirco, made of nylon, not canvas and the strap was not detachable. Luckily we guessed what the correct material and labelling was from the photo and the strap did not look detachable in the photo and indeed turned not to be detachable when the item arrived - it didn't matter to us as we were not looking for detachable handles, but more care with descriptions would be desirable. The item was properly packed and arrived about 7 days after we placed our order, which was slower than many items I ordered on-line, but still acceptable in the Christmas rush.

Was not impressed with the length of time it took to receive the goods. Despite requesting that the parcel be left with neighbours if I was not in, I was still forced to collect it myself from the sorting office, however, I do accept that this was as much the Post Office's fault as C Clinkards. The shoes are as described online and I was very happy to find shoes that I liked in the colour I wanted at a reasonable price.

Your shop in Wetherby used to be privately owned and was a shop to which my mother & I were regular visitors. I came into the shop on 15.11.14 to buy loafer style shoes. I tried several pairs on, however, at no time did the assistant offer to fit my foot into the shoe, I was left to try the pairs on unassisted and without a shoe horn. I finally decided upon a pair of boots. These were ordered in black for me to collect a few days later. This part of the service was superb. I went to collect them on 21.11.14 and tried them on. Altho a different assistant was in the shop I had the same response. Sadly, this does not make for me being likely to visit again. The choice of shoes is extensive and everyone is very polite but certainly not very helpful when trying shoes on.

My 10 year old daughter and I are very happy with the boots. Exactly what we wanted. Only thing would be the location of where we live post can always take longer.

As I had made the order with Debenhams and had the confirmation with them I was rather confused at having a further confirmation from you as there was no mention at the start and I was concerned that the order was being doubled up. I did not like a delivery where the item has to be signed for and having to wait in to do this. I appreciate the security but there must be a better way and am reluctant to order anything else because of this. Click and collect from a convenient pickup is a much better way forward.

The first pair were damaged but they exchanged them quickly although I had the hassle of returning the first pair.

There was no info given about the boots online so I wasn't aware what they were made of. I sent an enquiry form asking if they were leather, but have still not received a response.

Ordered a pair of boots for click and collect at my local store. I ordered them on 31st October, had an e mail to say there had been dispatched on 1st November but did not hear from the store until 7th! When I collected the boots, the assistant took all the packaging off which was fine until I got home, found the boots too narrow and had to take them back to the shop when I realised I had no invoice. Luckily, because I took them back on the same day, they found the packaging and paperwork in the bin!

Please accept my apologies for this. Normal despatch time is 2-5 working days and your parcel was in transit to the store in between these dates. Hello Alison, Thank you for your message. I am sorry to hear you are disappointed but as advised on our website, unfortunately we don't offer free returns. We do, however, highlight CollectPlus as a more economical way of returning products. At a price of £4.85 for up to 2kg, you can include 2/3 shoes in one parcel. Alternatively you can return to any one of our shops within 35 days, which I can see you have done on this occasion. Whilst we don't offer free returns currently, we do regularly review our policies and procedures, so please be assured that I will be passing your comments on. My daughters boots had to be ordered in and they took a week. I could have walked away and ordered them online and received them in two days. Also, due to demands on staff, the lady serving us was taken away by another customer whilst we were waiting to order the boots. This left me to explain to another staff member, once they were free, what we were ordering and what size. Yet again I felt like walking out and ordering online as I knew the size we needed.
