Everyone is very helpful in store but you never have any sizes in stock so I always end up going elsewhere or ordering online which is very frustrating.

Hello, Thanks for your feedback, and I'm sorry we didn't have what you were looking for on this occasion. For future reference, if you see something you like in store, but we don't have the size, you can order it there and then with a member of staff. You can have it delivered to the store or even to your home address free of delivery charge. Otherwise, I will pass your comments on, and hope that you do shop with us again in the future. Very poor range of sizes and colours available for the style that I bought but they were listed as an option but 'Out of stock'. Don't really like that.

Hello, Thank-you for your feedback. The Gabor item that you purchased is one of our most popular styles, and as such has been made available in a range of different styles and colours since we began stocking it. The reason that we list them all on the site, even when out of stock, is so that customers can see the full range. They can then request to be e-mailed when a certain style/colour is available again. Having said that, I appreciate that it can be frustrating when an item is unavailable, and I will certainly pass your comments on. I hope you continue to shop with Charles Clinkard in the future. Order process efficient. Delivery less so. Receiving a text/email with delivery time on day of delivery unsatisfactory as unable to change if out/computer unavailable. Also, alternative menu slightly confusing as didn't know if deliverer would try the first address before the alternative address. In this case he did and I was in. Final comment, re products - small shoes seem to be getting bigger which means am having great difficulty getting shoes that fit.

Quick delivery and refund for the shoes that were the wrong fit. The only disappointing thing was that I ordered the black patent Gabor Impression sandals but was sent the pair in taupe which were in a box labelled black patent so mistake was made. I kept the taupe anyway! Emma glen

The service in the shop was good and I felt confident that my daughter's feet were measured accurately. However, as she has tiny feet, the shop didn't have shoes her size and needed to order some in for her to try on. I was disappointed that I was asked to pay for the shoes before they could order them.

Hello, Thank-you for taking the time to provide this feedback. As you have suggested, our in-store system for ordering shoes does require customers to pay up front for items that they purchase. This is to mirror the service offered to online customers, who can also have an item delivered to store for them to try on (free of delivery charge). Of course, if you order an item and it is unsuitable you can get a refund straightaway in store. However, I will pass your comments on to be considered when we review our ordering policy. I bought 3 pairs of shoes from you within a very short period. The customer service of your staff on live chat (online shopping) and in the Milton Keynes store is absolutely excellent. They were very pleasant, helpful, well-informed about the products and had seamless internal communication between store staff and customer service. There is only one reason I have rated this experience normal instead of very good (where it should be) and that is that your returns policy is quite backward in comparison to your online retail competitors. The website indicates that you can return products using click and collect, but it also says Clinkard does not pay for return postage (which I only noticed later as all the online retailers I use offer free return via Click and Collect. The shoes I bought for my husband were too big and so I had to return them. I got quite annoyed that I would have to pay return postage. It may not be a lot, but, on principle, I object to paying return postage for something that does not fit. I drove 17 miles to Milton Keynes twice in one week just to make sure I got shoes that fit me properly. This is a deal breaker because your policy stops customers from ordering 2 sizes when they are not sure which size would work best. It negates the value of your online shop. If I have to pay return postage for every shoe I try on that does not fit, then it would make more sense to go into your shop. For this reason, I have given you a "7" on the likelihood of recommendation. I would recommend a visit to your Milton Keynes shop but I would not recommend shopping on your website.

Hello, Thank-you for taking the time to provide this feedback, and I am happy to hear you are pleased with the customer service at our store in Milton Keynes. As you have suggested, although we do offer free UK deliver, we do not currently offer a free returns service. As you have found, you can return the items to any Charles Cinkard branch, or even place an order online and have it delivered there so you can try the items on in store and return them if they're unsuitable. Otherwise, we do recommend the 'Collect+' returns service, details of which can be found on our website. We recommend this because we generally find it to be cheaper for customers than using Royal Mail. Having said this, we continually evaluate our returns service, and I will pass your comments on for future consideraiton. A disappointing visit trying to buy shoes for my 16 month granddaughter . Child measured at a 3.5 shoe no white shoes to show us in that size . Did try a shoe in black in that size and I quietly thought they were too big the selection was very poor . It was suggested we buy a start right pair in the measured size on line which we have done only to find they are much too big . This is not the first time the selection has been poor and I have little confidence in the measuring process .

As I'm sure you can appreciate, measuring feet for fitting can be a tricky process where different brands are concerned - especially for children who are growing all the time. That's why although we do our upmost to advise you on fitting, it is always best for your grand-daughter to try the shoes to be sure they are snug and comfortable. Of course, if the shoes do not fit we will be happy to give you a refund or an exchange. Apart from the long wait in the shop everything else was very good. I would recommend more staff. I would also recommend shop to my friends and family.

I needed to go to work urgently at the time of the delivery . I tried to change the address to my neighbour directly opposite . I live at 3 and was only allowed to choose odd numbers . My neighbour who was at home at number 2was excluded. This appears really unhelpful

O ordered and paid for a pair of Reiker sandals was told they could take 3 -5 days to arrive but I would be contacted when they arrived. received email next day to say they had been dispatched. Heard nothing so went into store 1 week after order. Told sandals had arrived after 2 days . Someone tried my mobile once that day I was unavailable but no one tried again. Assistant made me feel responsible for the poor customer service,

Delivery took much longer than I had hoped, even though I allowed for the Easter break. Unfortunately using Royal Mail is not such a good choice, other companies offer a much faster service. I love the choice etc offered by Charles Clinkard as I only take size 3 shoes. When I was a child living in Middlesbrough you were always my parents preferred shoe shop. I was, therefore, delighted to find a branch in Cribbs Causeway although sadly it is a bit too far to visit - home delivery is, therefore, my best option. On this occasion I am going to have to return the shoes as the fit is not good. Disappointing when I had waited so long for them to arrive. I hope to visit a store in the near future.

Although your order was sent out on a 48-hour Royal Mail label, this is a 'working day' service. This means that, due to the Good Friday and Easter Monday Bank Holidays, your order took longer than it usually would to be delivered. Although Clinkard's has, for many years , had a reputation for good quality shoes, I couldn't say that shopping in the Newcastle shop is a pleasure. There is a 'take it or leave it ' attitude.

Staff need more training to be able to advise on shoe fits for adults. Lack of knowledge on stock does not give customer satisfaction. Staff polite and should not be accountable for lack of training.

wouldyour delivery company lets you down badly. They plain lied about an attempted delivery however your customer service about the issue was excellent. Ditch interlink, the bicester office don't deserve your custom.

I normally have good service from CC, but my last order was received - but we someone else's order, After contacting CC I received a label to send the other persons order back, but still waiting for my order to get to me .... shame goods out couldn't ensure the correct label went on the correct parcel.

The service was quick and efficient. My only dissatisfaction was that the sandals purchased looked like they had been worn at least a few times. I accepted this as they were needed immediately for my neice to go on holiday otherwise I would have returned them. Even though they were in the sale this was not really acceptable.
