“Boots arrived in good condition and well packed. I have always been a 4.5 in Gabor and so was confident these would be suitable. Sizing in terms of length fine, but they have an almond shaped toe and I found them too narrow, which was surprising as I normally don’t have a problem with this.”

“Charles Clinkard themselves are excellent. I love the quality and my orders are always correct. Time to ship could be quicker although this isn’t a big deal. My last order went to the wrong DPD pick up location, which was annoying.”

“Ordered a pair of Gabor Bellini boots in my usual size 5. I had difficulty getting them on because as you put your foot in, the inside of the boot strangely bends in on itself under your foot. Once I had figured this out, I can now get them on with no trouble. They are comfortable and smart, and the black suede is lovely. They make my feet look neat. Please be aware that the heel of the boot is quite stiff, but gives good support. I would say the boots are a narrow fit, not suitable for wider feet, and the lovely chain detail at the back has no 'give room'. I had contemplated getting a half size up, but I think the heel would be a looser fitting and would rub. I have bought a lot of Gabor footwear over the years, and would highly recommend them. I was disappointed with the box they came in. The top looked like it had done three rounds and a submission in a wrestling ring. I like to keep my boots in the box they came in, but not possible in this case as the top was as flat as a pancake!!”

“Always very helpful and patient staff. I had to ask for a refund as the pair I'd ordered on line were not suitable. Unfortunately, my refund, which was prompt, did not take into account my £5 birthday voucher. So I'm concerned that I have now lost that.”

“Really good range of quality brands and friendly service in store but a strange online ordering system. The order was placed for shoes advertised is being in stock on the website but then I had to wait two days to find out if they were really available for dispatch and then the payment was taken, it might deter me from ordering online in the future.”

“The boots are great, comfortable and look good. The box they came in was battered and not new looking. The courier service i experienced was not great due to the post office i selected being closed! DPD took it to a different post office which i wasn't aware of so made 3 journeys to the closed post office and then finally got them from the alternative post office. It was very frustrating, and i spent more in diesel than the cost to have them delivered directly to me!”

“I visited my local Charles Clinkard store which I felt was well laid out and had lots of choice. I tried on a pair of boots but my preferred colour wasn't available instore in my size. The helpful assistant offered to order them for me but I decided to do it later online. My order arrived within a few days and overall I am happy with my experience however I'm only giving 4 stars as the full price of the boots instore and on the website was £105 but the price tag attached to the pair I received was £99”
