“I ordered some boots from Charles Clinkards but unfortunately they were smaller than expected. The sizing was a bit misleading online. I ordered wha I thought was a 5.5 - 6. However, when they arrived they were a 38 which to me is a 5 and I would never order. I took them back to the store in newcastle and they were very helpful in doing a return for me.”

“Purchased new shoes for my son bugatti Sept 2024 unfortunately the leather started Lifting after a month and two months later the soles came apart from the uppers. Went to the shop in Chichester and was told it was water damage ,but I dint pay 80.00 fir a pair of shoes to fall apart in three months. The assistant at the time did replace the shoes although they didn't have any in store at the time, was sorted out very quickly And I was satisfied when I left.”

“Received slippers ordered for my husband for Christmas which he was very pleased with & finds very comfortable. The down side was the very old looking battered & torn box they arrived in which to give as a present was very disappointing.”

“Items arrived as expected and didn’t take too long considering it was over Christmas. Boots fine but boxes were battered and broken. Didn’t matter to me but if you were gifting you’d need a new box.”

“I prefer to physically see what I am buying so went to the Nottingham branch to see what they had in the way of navy blue loafers. I tried on several pairs but either too pale navy or the metal bit was silver [I wanted gold/gilt] so had to order the Zoe Anniversary style. Reasonably happy with them but I think the leather is not as soft as the other loafer styles: I also think the front will crease very quickly. They are more solid looking, so more of an autumn/winter shoe, rather than all season. However, they look very smart so I have great hopes for them.”

“Service was excellent in the Eldon Square store. They didn’t have the size I required but ordered them online for me and arranged delivery to my home address. A couple of minus points….. I could have got an extra 10% off if I had ordered direct….the delivery via Royal Mail was chaotic.”

“I tried to leave a 1-star review but it gets deleted - that’s why their score is 4.75! Turns out you can only leave a 4 or 5* review. Disappointed - have been a customer for many years and ordered 3 pairs of shoes 3 weeks ago. First pair were cancelled as no longer in stock, 2nd pair left out in the rain by DPD 10days late and 3rd pair arrived today but only after I chased up. Not what I was expecting.”
