The packaging was poor. Damaged gabor box, grotty tissue and absolutely no packaging in the boots themselves. The boots sole looked like they hadn't been worn but the suede was well bashed about. Looked like they were left over from last season. I travelled to Meadowhall to return them since the right foot (my worst) felt tight not that I was going to pay £165 for them anyway. The very nice assistant noticed that the left was a size 6 in a size 6 box but the right foot was a size 5 and a half. Not surprising my right foot felt tight! She agreed that they looked in a very poor state and not what they expect being sent out from an online order. She refunded the money to my credit card straightaway and they actually gave me a £10 note for my trouble and bad experience. When I got home I realised that they had refunded the whole £165 when in actual fact I only paid £156.75 with a first order deal. Very sorry but Clinkards made another mistake and sadly I couldn't be bothered trying to contact you.

Went into Northallerton shop picked the shoes I wanted 2 shop assistants stood talking between themselves £99.99p. Pair of shoes made no attempt to come over and ask me if they could help me and Just carried on talking so the shoes went back on the shelf and I walked out not inpressed at all think customer care comes to mind.

Thank you for your review. Looking at the tracking we did send your order out on the day that you placed it and used Royal Mail trackied 24 hour service. It looks as though Royal Mail found nobody home on the Saturday so re-delivered on the Monday. We are sorry if this has caused disappointment, but this was beyond our control. 3 pairs of shoes ordered from your website. 2 of these pairs were then cancelled as they were out of stock. Being unable to complete two thirds of an order that was shown as being in stock is very poor.

I visited the store but they didn’t have the size in stock so ordered my son’s school shoes online. When they arrived I have been sent two completely different shoes!

Unfortunately received appauling customer service by two different staff who both appeared to be managers on two different occassions. Atmosphere in the store was unwelcoming and we felt rushed out. Will not return to the Teesside Park store.

The courier gave up before delivering, possibly passed by my house in doing so, no response from you to my report by email nor any explanation for non-delivery. Delayed response to further email including a report that my email couldn't be found when I actually had a (rather late) response!

I paid for next day delivery. after not being received within the given time slot I telephoned courier who assured me they would be delivered before 5. 10 to 5 I called again to be told they had been returned to depot. I did receive them the following day though.

My first ever order with Charles Clinkard. Ordered some size 7.5 shoes for my little girl and size 10 arrived. Will obviously be returning (they did provide a pre-paid returns label) but probably won’t shop again.

Went to get school shoes. They were out of stock so the Meadowhall store ordered them to be delivered. Wrong shoes arrived. Travelled back to Meadowhall so be told that they would have to be reordered. As we were going away we would have to have gone back to Meadowhall a third time to pick them up. Two unnecessary trips to Meadowhall to sort out the stores error. No apology offered. Got a refund, went to Clarks. Got the shoes there and then. Will shop there in future

You sent me two pairs of shoes one of which was the wrong pair. these were ordered for me to take away with the kids the following day. i had to then rush to the local clinkards 10 miles away and get the correct pair. luckily they had some or my child would be shoeless on holiday. this completely defeated the reason why I ordered on line as I didn't have the time to go to the shops. on exchange explaining the predicament the cashier did not offer any discount in compensation for this mistake costing me time and money in fuel to correct.

We went to the store, first time shopping there, huge queue, no one to tell us the process, couldn’t see a ticket machine just a sign saying to get one. We waited a long time, in the end I went to the till to ask about booking an appointment and was ignored. No-one has answered the phone all day long. This feedback relates to the Warwick store, not sure what the others are like, but customer service is apauling in Warwick.

They have been extremely busy with the sale and then back to school and are fully booked with appointments until the 1st September at which time there are only a few slots left. Our customer service advisors within store are not to answer the telephone when they are with a customer, unfortunately this may be why they were not able to answer the phone when you telephoned.
