I asked for shoes to be delivered to store but were delivered to my house but had to phone as shop out wrong postcode in order so had to wait another day in for delivery! Did have an apology from store as I went in to complain!

The soles of the shoes were very uncomfortable as there surface was not level but was disappointed to see I must now pay postage back for an order of more than £40 from an online retailer!

Recently purchased kids shoes online this being my third purchase from Charles clincard. Unfortunately the shoes didn’t fit right and I have had to pay for returning. There is no store nearby and so won’t be making any purchases online again:

Hello, Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We are naturally disappointed to hear your comments and are sorry you feel you may not order in the future. You get 35 days into which to return an item as long as it is unworn and in the original packaging. We do offer a Collectplus label through the returns section of our website which is £4.49 and covers up to 10kg in weight and ideal for larger items like boots or multiple products. You can also use Royal Mail which has additional services and will vary in cost depending on the option you choose. We do recommend using a tracked service for your security. We do appreciate your feedback and will pass this onto the relevant department. Brought ugg cleaner kit WAS damaged box and one off the bottels was broken and was all gone form were it all leaked out rang customers services said they said me an email to provide pruf it been damaged still no emaill off them or phone call back to like they said they would after ringing round to see if the sad any more in th shops

You sent the item “signed for” after I had requested “leave in a safe place” so I had to make a 6 mile round journey to collect it

We are sorry that this has happened, your order was disapatched on a Friday and as our courier does not deliver on a weekend, we tend to send items out with Royal Mail so that there is a speedier delivery. We recently purchased a pair of women's shoes from Charles Clinkard and used the CollectPlus service for delivery. This was swift and efficient and we were so pleased that my wife ordered a pair of Gabor shoes [Lesley ballet heel in supposedly black suede] from your store in Witney, Oxon. but noticed that one shoe was dyed a different colour and was more blue than black. The manageress apologised and said she would re-order the item for us to collect direct from the store. We were informed today that the shoes had arrived but on visiting the store were bitterly disappointed to find that the same colour defect was apparent in the latest pair. The manageressagreed that the dye quality was poor, apologised for this further setback and refunded our money in full but we were shocked that such a well-known brand as Gabor should prove such a let-down. I am particularly angry, as my wife is in poor health and the shoes were intended as a present for her birthday on 21st January. It is now too late to buy her something else and this situation reflects very badly on Gabor, doing nothing to promote customer loyalty or satisfaction. We attach no blame to Charles Clinkard but feel that you should take this matter up with Gabor to prevent further such decline in standards.

Never ever expected that from such big company. I ordered twice but I didn't get both order. On the second order I received an email from Charles clinkard that" I return the purse " I am so confused how can I return before I collect the order? Waste of time customer services team are not helping....so disappointed never again!

Have just received my third pair in the post and still can't get a perfect pair. The stitching and matching of pairs is inconsistent along with the colour matching. Extremely disappointed as the third pair was supposedly checked before being sent out to me and they have two black scuff marks on them and some drinks in the leather!

Had to return goods as the fit was not good . The return postage cost an enormous amount as had to return as an insured item to sign for . Was going to reorder another brand of shoe but decided against this due to the cost of postage . Other companies give you the option of a pre paid Post Office label or a free return label depends on the company . Realise that you have a click/ collect policy but your shops are no where near where I live .

DPD left the package in a neighbours bin 300 mtrs away and did not leave a card to advise us. We were only fortunate that the lady was putting rubbish in her bin during daylight hours which let her see the package in the bin otherwise it would have went to landfill. Charles Clinkard are excellent and professional, DPD are not and we will not spend money with you again unless we are offered an alternative carrier.

On this occasion, they have not met up to the high standards we expect and we are very disappointed you had such a mess around obtaining your parcel. I paid £5.99 next day delivery should have arrived 31/12 they didn't arrive until We'd, no contact no notice of any problem. I needed them for that Wed. Had they not fit I would have to have made an emergency 70 mile trip to my nearest big town. I complained git £5.99 refunded but very poor service. No gesture of good will.

Thank you for your review. We are genuinally sorry to hear that you were disappointed with our service. You placed your order on a Sunday and as such as the next day service is for working days only, this means a dispatch on Monday for a Tuesday delivery. However as the Tuesday was New Years day and therefore a bank holiday the next working day was the Wednesday and in fact the day that you received your shoes. I can understand your frustration, but the delivery time from here was correct and as good will we did refund your next day charge. It may be that on that day, the website did not reflect this although it should have, and if not then we sincerely apologise for any confusion. Bought for Christmas present but never arrived after days of tracing have been told it's delivered to wrong address and is still in London , would you be kind enough to to send required item to proper address in Ireland . Very disappointed

(1) During my online selection a pop up told me I would get 5% off my first order - it did not specify sale items were excluded (I read the small print which indicated special offers excluded - I did not consider these to be the same). (2) There is no confirmation of what amount you are about to pay at stage 4 of the order process so I did not know that the full amount was charged to the card until too late to withdraw (i.e. discount was not allocated) (3) I received an email to advise the goods were despatched and should be with me by 24th December - they actually arrived on the 28th December. (4) I ordered a pair of shoe in size 5.5 (the order said 5.5 and the invoice said 5.5), however the shoes received were size 6.5 - the box was also clearly marked 6.5. Although this was my first online order I have in the past purchased from you regularly, however I feel completely let down by the service provided and I am also annoyed that parking charges were incurred to return the goods to the shop when the error was not mine. Overall very poor service, not what I expected from Charles Clinkard.

A first time customer is offered 5% off their order if the item is not in the sale, this is specified on the pop up and we are sorry if you did not see this. Special offers are reduced items, and as such sale items are classed as special offer. When you are making your purchase, the sub total of what you are about to pay appears and then it will ask if you would like free delivery or add any postage charges if you opt for a next day or express delivery. We do not take any payment until the point of dispatch when you use a credit or debit card, but even if you used PayPal we would be more than happy to cancel an order and give a full refund so long as the item has not been shipped. The delivery service that you opted for was our free delivery service which is advertised as a dispatch within 5 working days maximum, your order was actually dispatched on the day that you placed the order. We are sorry to hear that it was not delivered the next day, but at this busy time of year, we cannot guarantee that the postal services that we use will be able to deliver the next day and the dates are estimated delivery times, our guaranteed delivery before christmas ended on the 19th December for our free delivery service. We are sorry to hear that you were not sent the correct shoes out to you. If an error has been made, you can call our customer services on 0345 241 7742 where our cusotmer service team would be happy to help you to return these shoes to us at no cost to yourself and either arrange a refund or exchange to the correct item for you. As you have been to one of our stores to return the item, I have contacted you through your order to deal with this part of your enquiry. I received 5 emails stating my boots would be delivered on 24 December and waited in as each delivery time was revised. They did not arrive until 27 December too late for a Christmas gift. I contacted customer services by email on 27 December making a formal complaint which should have been answered within 24 hours. I’ve not even had the courtesy of an acknowledgment let alone my complaint resolved.

On viewing the order, this was dispatched with the courier DPD on the 21st December and went out for delivery on the 24th December 2018. The tracking advises of a delay however we are unaware of what this was and it could be down to a number of things such as traffic, vehicle breakdown or other issues. We will of course raise this with the courier directly as its very frustrating your order did not arrive in time for the Christmas. I have searched through emails received on the 27th December as well as emails after this point including our junk and spam folders and have been unable to locate your query and I apologise. it was very frustrating making my first order online I had a discount code so opted for express delivery but it would not accept the code being copied or pasted, this should not be offered if it cannot be honoured, it is an empty offer

Hello, Thankyou for your review. We are disappointed with your feedback. Our Next Day Delivery charges is £5.99 and as long as the order is placed before 5pm then it guarantees Next Working Day delivery. It can differ on a weekend. We received your order on the 20th December 2018 and also dispatched this on the same day with Royal Mail. The tracking advises that the item arrived the next morning before 10am and also signed for.
