Items are sourced from the warehouse and also stores, they may have bene on display or tried on however the quality of the item as well as the packaging should not be impacted and we are very disappointed this pair arrived in this condition. They sell leaky shoes. Last month I bought a pair of Rieker shoes for £67. The first time in the wet the left shoe leaked. I took them back to the shop and was asked if I had waterproofed them. I thought the shoe manufacturer was supposed to do this rather than sell shoes that are not fit for purpose and expect the customer to rectify the fault. A waterproof spray at £9.99 was offered. I declined. I will see what Rieker say.

I wear an 81/2 shoe. I knew Gabor can run a bit big so ordered an 8. It was more like a 10. I called and learned the return would be very expensive. I ordered a 71/2 and that too was more like a 9 or 91/2. I returned both pairs and it cost me $56.00. Live and learn...never again will I order from a company out of the US

This could possibly explain the size difference and as to why you found them rather large. I'm surprised you asked me to review this product as you recently replaced the boots as they were faulty. After 3 days of wearing the boots one of the soles came detached from the boot and was hanging on from the front of the boot. It was extremely difficult to walk in them and I was in the middle of day-out. I had to box up the boots and then take them to the post office to return them before the company sent out a replacement pair. I don't think I received an apology and definitely not a gesture of goodwill.

Unfortunately Charles Clinkard sent me the incorrect boots and refused to send the boots I had ordered until they received the wrongs one back which meant they didn't arrive in time for my trip! Very disappointed as the stores are normally so helpful.

I purchased some Gabor shoes online. They left large black marks on our kitchen floor - no other shoe has ever done this. I returned them to Charles Clinkard who refused to accept that there was a manufacturing fault. The shoes are being returned to me without any offer of an exchange or refund. I will have to pay a local cobbler to replace the soles. I have previously been happy with Gabor shoes but would now avoid buying them, or anything from Charles Clinkard.

It is very misleading from the picture that actually just a socks is for sale. There is not even a picture of the socks on it's own. I placed an order on the mobile website, so could not see a full description, and just was gutted when collected the parcel from collect plus. There could be one picture of the socks in the does, for demonstration, but not 5 photos of a shoes photographed form every angle. Very disappointed that there were no free returns too.

Ordered Marco Tozzi Bronz ll boots size 7, received size 6. Spoke to customer service on 23/11/18 at 09:12 hr regarding this matter. I was told that I will be emailed a pre paid label so that the boots can be returned and over a week later and a further email to customer service, I have had no reply. I am extremely disappointed and rethink ordering online. There seems to be a lack of support when your order is wrong.

Disgusting Customer Service, ordered an paid for express delivery for a certain date as i was going away the day after expected delivery. Received an email on the day i was expecting my new shoes to say that they would be delivered the next day!! Very disappointing as i was relying on taking the shoes with me. Called customer service who were NO help at at. Will not be buying from Charles Clinkard again, will use someone who deliver what they promise.

Wrong colour boots sent and had to wait for a returns label to send them back. They were needed for 14th November, received them on the 12th which was too late to have them returned and redispatched in time.

My wife ordered some Gabor shoes online and they arrived promptly. However they marked our kitchen floor badly - no other shoe has ever done this, so there's clearly a problem with the product. We returned them but the Company insisted that there was no manufacturing fault (!!) and offered no refund or replacement. The shoes are being returned to us. We will have to pay to get a local cobbler to replace the soles & heels.

My daughter is 10 and wanted some black knee length boots and there weren't any for her size. Encouraged to try ladies that were completely unsuitable. Staff were lovely. But please stock wide fit for all kids!!!!!!!

I was not happy with my purchase, the boots looked more attractive on the website than in reality. I was very disappointed to discover that returns are at purchaser's own expense. This completely puts me off ordering anything else in future.

We do take images of our products to try and highlight the attributes but there is no better way than to see the boots for yourself and we fully appreciate not everyone will enjoy the style. Size and choice is very personal. You get 35 days into which to return an item as long as it is unworn and in the original packaging. You can return to a Charles Clinkard store (based on your post code our Guildford store would be an option) for an exchange or refund. Other options include Collectplus which is £4.49 and covers up to 10kg in weight and ideal for larger items like boots or multiple products. You can also use Royal Mail which has additional services and will vary in cost depending on the option you choose. We do recommend using a tracked service for your security. I have ordered two pairs of Gabor boots - each pair at 170GBP. The first pair that was shipped was unfortunately too small but also the colour I ordered - River - was not the one that I have chosen. I received a pair of boots in black. A quick phonecall to CC resolved it in minutes and I was e-mailed a pre paid label to return the boots. So far so good. I ordered another pair this time in medium but unfortunately it was too small and had to return it. Can you imagine my unpleasant surprise that returning the boots cost over 11GBP?! CC should have free returns and delivery especially for purchases over certain value, however that does not seem to be the case. Won't be ordering from CC again.

Items are checked prior to dispatch and we are sorry you received the incorrect colour. It is also excellent to hear how quick Customer Services were able to assist you with this error and I will ensure your comments are passed over to them. With regards to returns, we offer free standard delivery on all orders with dispatch within 2-5 working days. We do ask for returns to be paid for and there are various services which are both cost efficient and convenient. Collectplus is £4.49 and is for 10KG in weight, ideal for larger items, multiple orders and they offer a trackable service. You would need access to a printer and the label is sent to an email for you to print off. Royal Mail/Post Office has varying services which will depend on size of the return and how quick you require the items be returned. Additionally you can return to a store and on checking your details we do have one in the Talke Pitts outlet in Stoke. I paid for next day delivery my parcel was then for reason unknown to be taken to Scarborough I live in Bedfordshire..I was then emailed every day saying my parcel was going to be delivered... my address with post code was clearly on the order, I contacted the Charles Clinkard help line and was assured that I would have my postal charge refunded and they would contact the delivery company .. I unfortunately never received my parcel so asked for my money to be refunded! Disgusted and disappointed!

Have been in twice now in Leeds and felt like I was something under someone's shoe. The staff were more interested in chatting amongst them selves, until someone "nicer dressed" than me walked in the door. I just turned around and walked out.
