They dispatched the goods reasonably quickly but I had chosen to receive them at Morrison’s. The courier had problems and the parcel got stuck at a depot for two days, then Morrisons were a complete muddle saying I’d come to the wrong place, they didn’t have the parcel on record, before admitting it had confusing info on it and producing it.

Have bought shoes from Charles Clinkard shop on several occasion over the years. The website was good as was the delivery but I will not buy shoes/slippers online again. Whilst the product, which I kept, was okay I would not have bought them had I tried them on in the shop. Not comfy enough for me as they were a wide fitting.

Thank you for your review. I am sorry to hear that you have kept an item that you felt was not a good fit for you. Maybe some sheepskin insoles would reduce the area within the slipper and make them more comfortable for you? It also keeps them fresher as you can take the insoles our for replacment or washing occasionally. Web ordering is poor - I was asked to arrange Paypal payment before proceeding. Then I had to pay by card. I will need to check I have not been charged twice

My Gabor trainers were not up to your usual standard. One of them had navy dye marks on the laces and also on the side edge of the white sole.

I have used your service on a number of occasions and for the most part have been very satisfied. However, I do feel that a free returns policy should be adopted I. These changed times, making it probably more worthwhile for both retailer and purchaser.

disappointed back strap way to short, won't order on line again. would much rather go into the Ilkley shop where the staff are great. don't recommend the online shopping may be ok for some but not for me.

I have quite a few Gabor shows in G fitting. However the latest pair I Sent for were too narrow and I needed to return them. Raher than pay postage I came to the Leeds shop from Wakefield. The assistant refunded me immediately. I am now reluctant to order online if I am expected to pay postage for ordering and returning

The sandals are very nice but the box and shoes and tissue paper smelled like an old damp warehouse ! I think they have been out on the internet a few times or stored very badly as the paper was ripped and crumpled. There is an old label stuck to the insole which I am not sure how to remove ! Very poor presentation This is not what I expect from Charles Clinkard ! These were not cheap sandals.

Hello Thankyou for your review. Items are sourced from our warehouse and store, they should be rigorously checked prior to sending and any packaging replaced. We are disappointed you received these items and are sorry for the inconvenience You can remove a label by using a protector spray or hot soapy water to remove any residue of the sale sticker without damaging the inner sole. Good to have a retailer that stocks some different brands. However for something as important to fit right as shoes I find the returns process a faff, it works out quite expensive so I do not tend to make speculative purchases.

Clinkard employees in store and on the phone are pleasant and helpful, and returns are handled well in store, but the online system needs improvement - Hotter orders have either failed to generate an order tracking email, or the email has come with a blank tracking reference. In either case, I've been unable to find out when the parcel will arrive. I'm told this is down to Hotter failing to do their bit, but this is a weakness that needs fixing.

Ordered on 19 June, still awaiting delivery on 29 June which has been promised for today. Had problem with DPD who said they tried to make a delivery and I was not at home which WAS INCORRECT. No faith in DPD so will not in future place an order with any supplier who use this company for delivering goods. Shoes went back to Charles Clinkard who are now sending via Royal Mail.

I had to send these Ecco shoes back unfortunately. They fitted ok, the leather was soft and they were lightweight but there was something not quite right between the inner part of the shoe and the outer sole. The left foot particularly seemed hard and lumpy. However the service was good. The shoes arrived quickly and the refund was processed quickly too.

Unfortunately the shoes I ordered were too big and had to be returned, which is very annoying when you also have to pay postage to return as I don’t have a Charles Clinkard where I live !

Very disappointed with the sandals I purchased i ordered size 6.5 which fits perfectly as I always order this size but on this occasion I was sent size 40 which is a seven being told that is the coversion size 6.5 They we’re far to big for me so I have to send back

As Gabor are a continental sizing, they do not convert in the same way as some other brands, also size is personal and different styles will offer a different fitting experience. Not happy having to pay for returns especially in the current pandemic state where visiting shops to try on shoes is not something I want to do. Shoes were ok

We do deliver orders over £40 free of charge in the UK and also refund the delivery postage charge on orders under £40 if they are returned within 2 weeks of receiving them. With regard to returns it is in our terms and conditions that customers cover the postage back to us, but if an exchange is needed, we would cover the postge back to you. As you are aware, you can take them back to a Charles Clinkard store, they are upholding good practice within the stores for customers safety. We are sorry for any disappointment. I regret to say that the shoes arrived in a faulty condition and I returned them to your Cribbs Causeway store on 14 June. The store did not have stock to replace so they are arranging a refund

I bought a pair of shoes....first time in 5years..as the shop I used before has shut down. Sadly, by buying on line, I have had numerous scam emails from Royal Mail...( NOT THEM!) trying to pretend there is a delivery problem. Therefore, I suggest that your website is not secure. I will never buy online again..and neither will I buy from you..on line. Not likely to need any more shoes either..Those I like..but please delete all my details from your records, as I do not believe they are safe with you.

I always have positive experiences with you regarding finding shoes for myself, but I have one issue. This time I had to send the sandals back because they were too big, I asked for a replacement but the size wasn’t available. I paid £2:99 delivery charge to get the shoes, then £4:85 to return them. For having no shoes I am nearly £8 out of pocket. If it wasn’t for this I would be giving 5 stars☹️
