Products are fine & delivery fairly prompt but I will not buy from you again as I disagree that I have to pay for returns.

We offer a free standard UK delivery on a spend of £40.00 and over,however, we do ask the customer to pay the returns cost. Although we recommend a tracked service, we do leave it down to the customer to choose which service to return by. Ordered size 5.5 ,that is what it said on the invoice ,but the shoes were 3.5 so no good .However the person I spoke to at customer services wasd excellent and very helpful

In the past I have always been able to purchase shoes and boots size 3 narrow fit. But in the last few years all I have ordered are far to big for me, rarely do the shoes and boots come on sizes 2.5 sadly though both of my recently ordered boot are lovely they're far to big I think that my days of being able to buy my foowear from CC is ending.

Service was very good however I ordered two sizes of same shoe and had to pay for return of pair not required. Over the last couple off years I have ordered on line from many companies and have been entitled to free returns even if ordering two sizes of a particular item. Hence the three stars.

Thank you for your review. We deliver free of charge, but do ask customers to cover the cost of returns, or you can take back to a Charles Clinkard store. There is a link on our webiste to Collect + where for £4.49 you can return up to 10 kilo or you may return by any postal service that you wish. My choice of style was great as was the speedy delivery and communication but sadly I paid 20% more than I should as the shoes came with a further reduction sticker still in place which would have made them a far better deal. Note to self - shop around more

Efficient delivery and returns. Returns should be free considering cost of footwear.

Thank you for your review. Our delivery is free within the UK, but we do ask customers to cover the cost of returns. There is a link on our website with Collect + where you can buy a label for £4.49 and this will cover up to 10 kilo in returns. You can also take to any Charles Clinkard store and they will issue a refund or arrange an exchange for you. We do allow up to a year for this, so long as the shoe is unworn. I was sent the wrong size of shoe. I made a round trip of 20 miles to return the shoes rather than incur a postal charge. I have now reordered the item in store and await the arrival of the correct size The staff in my nearest store were very pleasant and helpful.

When I went into the shop in York I knew which shoes I wanted I asked for my size and was told that it was only available in a blue I wanted black but was told it could be sent to me post free so I agreed I needed to wait as the sales assistant was serving another customer while she was ring up the other sale a different assistant appeared I explained about the shoes being in wrong colour and I would pay for them and they would be posted to me this is where I think things got mixed up with the other customer I was sent the wrong shoes

Happy with the shoes, but unhappy with the delivery process. I paid for next day delivery. Instead you tried to deliver a day later when I was out so I eventually got them on Tuesday having ordered and paid for the shoes and next day delivery on Saturday.

Hello Thankyou for your review Next day delivery is a guaranteed next working day service for orders placed before 5pm. Orders placed after 5pm will be processed as soon as possible, but may be dispatched the next working day. Any orders placed at the weekend will not be dispatched until the Monday for Tuesday delivery. Next day delivery is charged at £5.99 and is available on items that we have in our central warehouse. This is because some items have to be sourced from our stores and will take a little longer to process. If next day delivery is available, you will be able to select the service at the checkout. We have checked your order and this was placed on the Saturday, the delivery for this would be Tuesday at the latest An attempt was made on the Monday however there as no one available so DPD reattempted and posted the item on the Tuesday. The shoes I received felt as if one was slightly bigger than the other although they were both stated as being the same size, I also felt one was slightly faded than the other, but I have bought before and was pleased with my purchase.

Unfortunately the shoes were not suitable, was disappointed that I had to pay postage to return, but the return and refund was very fast and was happy with that.

I ordered Ecco shoes size 11 and received shoes size 11.5. Fortunately they still fit so I have not returned them. Delivery was prompt so no complaints otherwise.

Ecco do convert their EU sizes differently and the EU46 is marked as an 11.5 Many brands do not follow a standard conversion and we are sorry if this caused confusion however are delighted the items fit. Brilliant communication and fast delivery but the box arrived bashed and tattered and there was no free gift included, a little disappointed that its clearly been a return that hasn't been checked before being sent back out! The shoes themselves were brilliant, excellent fit and my daughter loves the dogs on the front, and for that reason I just kept them but probably wouldn't order again.

The slippers I bought for my husband were described as Burgundy but they are very dark, a brownish red which used to be known as ox blood.

Normally very good company to deal with but the last shoes I bought were obviously returns. The labels had been torn out and the white soles dirty where they’d been worn by someone else. Not too keen to use Clinkards again

The ordering was good and in the past have spoke to customer service who are very helpful don’t mind paying for delivering but I had to pay £4.20 through the post office to return the item tracked as you recommend to do that. The item was too narrow for my foot or else I wouldn’t have sent them back. So in future won’t be ordering again due to having to pay for returning item.

The slippers are acceptable but the soles are too thin. Clarks used to make better ones but seem to have ceased production.
