So disappointed. Bought usual size 5 and a half g. I have two pair of hovercraft shoes same size and width which are perfect fit unfortunately Patsy pumps have hurt my feet from day one. Tried wearing them indoors with socks to soften but to no avail. Feel they are too narrow so not true to size. £80 gone to waste. How do you get it right if normal size usually works?

Thnak you for your review. We are sorry to hear that these shoes were not a good fit for you. We do allow up to one year for you to return unworn items to us for full refund to allow for the shoes to be tried in the home for fit. We do thank you for your comments and hope that this will help others when they are browsing. In general the service was good. However the size I ordered was too big so I needed to return the shoes. Not so happy having to pay over £11 to return them. The refund was however prompt.

With reference to returns, we do offer 365 days to send back an item which is unworn and you are also welcome to take into a Charles Clinakrd store. Additionally you may find Collectplus a more cost efficient option , it is £4.49 for up to 10kg and ideal for larger items. You do need access to a printer however it also offers a tracked service. Returned both pairs of boots as even though they were my size 36 they were to big for me. Not Charles Clinkards fault every brand seems to size differently

Good shoes and good price. But I would not order again as had to pay postage to send another pair of shoes back .

Very difficult buying shoes online - I ordered two pair of the same style because I didn’t know what size to get. Neither fitted so ended up costing me £11 to return them and ended up with nothing!

We do ask customers to pay towards the returns costs however there are more economical methods you can use: Collectplus is £4.49 for up to 10kg and is ideal for sending multiple pairs or heavier items. You would need access to a printer for this service. You can also return via our stores if one is local to you and we also offer 365 days timescale into which you can return your items unworn and in the original packaging if possible. Ordered some shoes and a handbag. The order was received in two deliveries.Easy to order though incorrect fit of shoe was sent. Contacted Clinkards by telephone who forwarded a return label by email ( on second attempt) . Found the explanation of how I was to receive the correct shoe a little confusing. Had to clarify by email. Received the correct pair within the week and they are fine.

Only one complaint I have is the returns are paid at your own expense and don’t get refunded however I ended up getting my refund for the shoes even though I did want an exchange just unfortunately I had to pay for the returns

Very disappointed receiving the Clarks shoes for school for my son, the shoes came with the laces double knotted done up as if they’ve been worn or tried on. The soles were dirty and dried mud around the sides and back heel. Needed for next day otherwise would have sent back no reply since this email from them! Terrible and won’t order again. £46 so not cheap.

The gold colour appears more like plastic and though it is size 6 (ladies) It seems shorter and tighter then previous similar pairs I have been very satisfied with. Would have preferred proper tan leather.

The speed of service was excellent and also the customer service on the phone was great. However, in the current circumstances where shoes cannot be tried on, I was not happy about having to pay for return postage. My daughter still has no shoes for school as I am not prepared to risk another pair that doesn't fit that I will have to pay to return. We will have to wait until the shops open.

Shoes great but charging people to return items in the middle of a pandemic. Not a great customer service move. Can get the same shoes elsewhere with free returns so won't be using again. Sorry.

I was really pleased to find a pair of shoes exactly the same as a favourite pair I had at a batgsin pricr. Not pleased though at the label stuck into one inner sole shich orovef impisdible to remove. So now I have the bottom half of a paper label in my new shoes.

We understand that the sale sticker being stuck on the insole can be difficult to remove, but this has been found to be the best place currently to position our sale stickers. Our stores recommend using a protector spray or hot soapy water to remove any residue of the sale sticker without damaging the inner sole. All seemed good until the boots arrived, I thought they would be real leather as they had originally been £70, it could have been clearer that they were not leather. On returning them which cost me £4.20 I was refunded just £35.00. Only when I questioned this was I offered my original delivery cost back, If this is my right then surely I should have been given it immediately. I don't think I will be ordering from Charles Clinkard again as I prefer to shop with a company I can trust to be fair.

As I thought, you really have to try shoes on in a shop. It cost a lot of money for a pensioner to return the shoes - nearly £5 but you refunded my account promptly with the cost of the shoes and as a goodwill gesture paid the p & p delivery charges to me. I have not done purchasing on the internet before and will certainly not be doing it due to high return charges by the Post Office. Shoes were very narrow.

We are sorry if you felt that our shoes were pricey, our prices do compare favourably with other Companies and we would price match if you were able to get them cheaper elsewhere (excluding Ebay and online only retailers) With regard to returns, we do ask for customers to cover the cost, but do allow up to one full year for items to be returned for full refund so long as unworn, you can also return to any Charles Clinkard store. First time I made a purchase with you very good delivery service unfortunately I had to return the sandels I purchased because they were faulty I was very unhappy that I had to pay for my return when if the sandels had been okay I would not have returned them so I was. very unhappy with this service

Not 5 stars as have to pay delivery charge when order under £40 and don't offer free returns. Also delivery not the quickest

Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you were disappointed with the delviery charge. Unfortunately we do not have our own courier and this is paid to a postal service either DPD or Royal Mail for delivery. If the order is over £40 we pay the postal charge for you. You can take any return back to a Charles Clinkard store and have up to 12 month to do so, as long as unworn. We will pass your comments on, as we do review customers opinions.
