Despite paying for next day delivery this did not happen and no refund was given . I accept that it was a bank holiday but then payment should not have been accepted if delivery could not be made , The shoes I wanted to purchase which were on the front of the email did not appear on the website .I had to telephone our local shop to get the name . I purchased a pair of Sketchers Breathe Easy Approachable Women’s trainers. Service and delivery was fine. I have several other pairs of Sketchers trainers and all fit fine. I have a wide foot but these current trainers are far too wide so unfortunately I am returning them.

My order arrived ok. I consequently received an offer of 20% off to anyone I recommended. However, when logging in for this offer so that my son in law could benefit from it, just three days after my purchase, the offer of a 20% discount was, according to your web site, no longer available! I called you and the 20% offer was honoured and my son in law purchased a pair of Pikolinos. I was told that once his order was confirmed that I too would receive a 20% discount off my next purchase. Disappointingly, I have yet to receive this offer. It seems that your offers of discounts needs attention as it clearly is not working and is most frustrating/ disappointing.

It was quite easy to navigate the website and place the order. I chose click and collect which worked well. I’m disappointed that I am unable to make returns by the same method but have to pay to post them back. I find that a real pain and it will put me off using Charles Clinkard again.

There is a Charles Clinkard store close to where you live (2 miles) and you can take the shoes there for full refund if you would like to return them. I hope that this is a good solution for you. I had a problem trying to order online so phoned and had excellent service from the sales lady on the phone. Received shoes within 5 days. Very disappointed that the ‘sale’ label had been very roughly taken off leaving the horrible sticky part of the label on shoes that had still cost £80.

If you could provide an image of the innersole where the label was, I have emailed you seperately and hope that you will get in touch with regard to this. Personally I find that rubbing with talc takes away the stickiness, however, this should not have been let in the shoe and I am sorry for any inconvenience. Kind regards, Janice - customer services.

Hello, I received my Josef Seibel sandals about three weeks ago. I have owned about 20 pairs of this same sandal. The right shoe had a wrinkle in the leather across the toes. I should have sent them back but I decided to live with it. Usually Seibel sandals are very well constructed. This leads me to believe that these were knock-offs. Hope I am wrong as I want to continue to purchase this style or something close to it.

I ordered a pair of Gabor platform trainers with very prompt delivery but was very disappointed when I had to return them as they were unsuitable and had to pay for the postage which proved to be very expensive as I had to say what the value was in the parcel (which was £105). I couldn't return to a shop as I do not live anywhere near one. Everything I order from other companies always have a free return delivery service. Therefore, I will not be purchasing anything in future online.

Unfortunately wrong size shoes sent out. They exchanged free of charge but I do free it's an error that should have been avoided.

-I like the shoe, but too big and too wide for a 9.5 USA size. The experience to buy with you was very good, but the product, as I said, beautiful but huge. - -I need to return it, but if I could be sure that a smaller and tight size would fit me well, I'll buy it again. -You need to reevaluate the sizing comparison between EU sizing, and USA sizing.

Such a shame that postage has to be paid each way. The shoes were exactly what I wanted but I made an educated guess on a size 6 to replace the size 7s which are now too big, only to discover that these were too small. By the time I paid again, I might as well embrace a completely different style from a local store where I can try before I buy.

Gabor shoes usually fit very well. However, I had to send my chosen pair back as too small. Reading other reviews, I ordered a larger size. I’d advise others to size up.

Only 3 stars as I wouldn't expect to pay for returns. They're one of the few companies to provide Gabor in my size so I don't have much choice. The selection in my size is always limited. Orders always arrive quickly

The shoes are comfortable but the inner sole has come lose.The delivery firm just chucked the shoes over the wall by my back door.Not happy with that. Thank you

The three pair of shoes arrived in good condition. Unfortunately one pair didn't fit well, more my problem than the shoes and had to return. This is where I have a gripe. The return procedure is cumbersome. Unless I was doing something wrong, a return label could only be printed off if using the designated service. Our local shop has been closed so not possible to return through that route. It was therefore more convenient to use a post office and designing return label which was faffy.

Alternatively if you have a Charles Clinkard store anywhere near, you can take there for full refund. I don’t usually order shoes online but have shopped exclusively online for clothes for over a year now. The problem with Charles Clinkard is the cost of delivery and returns. The shoes I ordered were far too big and after paying for delivery and return postage it turned out to be a very expensive “try on” will not be using again. All the clothes retailers I use offer free returns and if I had realised Charles Clinkard don’t I wouldn’t have ordered. Nothing wrong with the speed of delivery and the return admin was handled quickly but I had to return with proof of delivery to receive my refund of the cost of the shoes. Too costly for me I’m afraid!

Thank you for your review. You can take an order for return to any Charles CLinkard store for refund if you have one close to you, and we also have a link on our website for Collect + which is £4.49 for up to 10 kilo in returns. This means that you can send many items back at one low cost. With regard to delivery, we do charge for orders onder £40. If the amount, as your order was, is close to the £40 mark, you could add a polish or laces to bring it up to the £40 and then you would not have to pay any postage.
