Boots were nice enough but unsuitable so returned. I won’t be ordering again given returns are not free.

I wanted to be sure my purchase was leather, no one was sure, one member of staff knew it was coated leather but wasn’t in store at time I arrived to collect order. This resulted in me requesting a refund which was processed. The staff member came back as I was about to leave. I had another pair ordered which were too small. I therefore had two refunds totalling £270. When confirmed boots were leather I purchased them. The youngest member of staff dealt with me, a pleasant and patient girl.

Ordered online to be delivered to my home paid £5.99 for the privilege of home delivery .recorded instructions were to be left with DPD to have them take to a chemist where its difficult to park .delivery not good at all won't use this service again .

Product was good but didn't fit so had to return. Delivery took quite a few days and return of boots was very expensive. The majority if companies now offer free returns

Thank you for your review. We do deliver free of charge and ask customers to cover the cost of returns. If an exchange is needed we will again pay the postage to you. If you have a Charles Clinkard store near to you, then you can pop your order into store and they will arrange a refund for you. There is a link on our website to Collect + this is £4.49 and covers up to 10 kilo of returns. I hope that this helps for future reference should you order again. The shoes were nice, but rather wide so had to return them. Was not very impressed that I had to pay for returns though as most other companies give you a free return label.

We are pleased to hear you were happy with the items however it is disappointing that they were not suitable. With regards to returns, we offer free standard UK delivery over £40 which are dispatched within 5 working days, however do ask customers to pay towards the cost of the return. This is included on our terms when placing the order. You can of course return to a store if one is near to you however there are cost efficient ways of sending back your order. Although we do recommend a tracked service, there are different levels of service and cover you can choose at the Post Office when returning. You can return via Collectplus which is £4.49 for up to 10KG and is ideal for larger items or multiple orders, the link to this option can be found in the returns section of our website. We appreciate the feedback regarding the returns policy and will pass this onto the correct department, as we are constantly reviewing our policies to ensure the best service for our customers. Shoes arrived on time in good condition but the wrong colour I decided to keep them but would suggest you take greater care or are your staff colourblind

Steffi59 Josef Seibel shoes , size 7, (41) not in stock at shop in the Mall Cribbs Causeway. Was told they could be delivered free. Received size 6.5 (40). Called regarding return. No free postage. Had to travel for an hour to return. Shop said they did not have 41. Found Shuperb on line they delivered and for £1 extra allowed free returns. Disappointed with Charles Cliknkard for ordering wrong size and costing me half a day traveling to and from shop to return.

My trainers arrived quite quickly but I was very disappointed to find that they had been worn and had obviously been returned. There was no packing in them, the laces were undone and the labels on the bottom dirty. I did think about returning them but would have had to pay to do that so I reluctantly kept them. I will not be ordering anything from them again. I gave 3 stars because of the reasonably quick delivery by Royal Mail.

The shoes were delivered quickly, but I had to send them back. This was due to excessive wear to the right shoe, which had obviously been tried on many times and was a different colour.

I was pleased with the choice of products but unfortunately the cost of returning my boots was high and there is not a store near my home. So I feel it has cost me £7.00 just to try one boot on and return. It was not clear when I ordered that I would need to pay for the return. So because of this I would not recommend to others.

My order arrived & on time. I have a quality problem with my blue check slippers. The lining is very cheap & well below the quality of the same but different colour slippers that arrived together. Bad standards 😒

So I've ordered two pairs of boots and both are great and I need to decide which to keep- fantastic quality. My gripe is I have to pay for delivery and pay for the return !! So that's over £10 in postage!!! Had I known this I would have looked into ordering through my local store. Come in Mr Clinkard its not on and you're being greedy !

We are sorry to hear you are disappointed with delivery and returns with Charles Clinkard We do offer free standard delivery on orders over £40.00, any premium services like Next Day do carry an additional charge should the customer opt for these Returns are also payable by the customer and you can return via any service convenient to you however many people do opt for the Post Office. Additionally with our 365 day returns policy gives our customers flexibility and items can also be taken into a Charles Clinkard store as long as you have proof of purchase. The items do need to be unworn and in the original box if possible. The service I received in terms of turnaround time and updates was good. Unfortunately, buying shoes online isn't great because you need to try them to check they fit & are comfortable. Whilst I am a definite size 35, the size 35 shoes I bought were much too small. It cost me £8.95 to return them for an exchange but sadly there was no stock available to exchange for a bigger size. So I feel that I have wasted £8.95 & ended up with no shoes. A costly & unproductive encounter.

Ordered size 5.5 ,that is what it said on the invoice ,but the shoes were 3.5 so no good .However the person I spoke to at customer services wasd excellent and very helpful

In the past I have always been able to purchase shoes and boots size 3 narrow fit. But in the last few years all I have ordered are far to big for me, rarely do the shoes and boots come on sizes 2.5 sadly though both of my recently ordered boot are lovely they're far to big I think that my days of being able to buy my foowear from CC is ending.
