Wanted to order some slippers which were not in your Middlesbrough store although I had seen them on line. Asked the assistant if they could order them in store since I would have thought that a click and collect order was cheaper for you than paying delivery postage. She maintained that this could not be done so I ordered them on line. No advance notification from the PO as to delivery slot so no-one at home when they tried to deliver the goods. You will be aware that the PO will not leave anything with neighbours so I ended back making a special trip to Cannon Park to collect them ie within 10 metres of your warehouse!!!

Boots were delivered and were found to be marked and dirty when the box was opened. Have returned to store, a new pair ordered and a week later have had no contact or update re the order!

The boots I ordered weren’t available despite the website saying they were. I was disappointed that I would have to pay for returns. Returning to the shop was an easy process though.

With regard to returns, we do advise that delivery is free but if you wish to return by post then this is at the customer cost, we have several stores around the country and are happy to have a return taken there to avoid costs where possible. Es la primera vez que hago una compra con ustedes. Desafortunadamente el costo de la mercancía era de $60.83 mas $12.00 de delivery. Cuando veo mi estado de cuenta del banco habían acreditado la cantidad de $94.92 sin ninguna explicación de por que estaban cobrando esa cantidad, La cartera la compré on-line ya que mi esposo está recién operado y no puedo salir Si la compra en la tienda que ahi aquí en PR donde venden la mercancía Kipling me hubiese salido mas barata.

Hemos investigado esto por usted y podemos ver que el pedido fue de un total de £ 70.83, que es inglés esterlina, si convierte esto a dólares estadounidenses, la conversión al monto en su extracto bancario es correcta. I selected CollectPlus at the point of finalising my order. However, I subsequently never received any correspondence in relation to my delivery from CollectPlus - this is where the issue arose. On Wednesday 16 October I rang Charles Clinkard directly to see if the goods had arrived at my CollectPlus delivery address 2.75 miles away. When the Call Handler checked, she confirmed the goods had been despatched on Monday afternoon and had arrived at the CollectPlus delivery address on Wednesday morning. She did ask if I had received any tracking email/information, I confirmed I had not. Nothing else was said by the call handler and I confirmed I would set off to collect my goods. On arrival the shop owner confirmed I could not pick up my order as I did not have a tracking number/code. I explained I had not received anything at all from CollectPlus. This made no difference, I had to return home and ring CollectPlus direct. When I rang CollectPlus, I explained what had happened - they kept asking me if I had received the tracking email/information, I kept confirming no I had not received anything from CollectPlus at all. The call handler did not appear to be listening or understanding what I was telling her. I reiterated I had not received any information from CollectPlus with which I could formally collect my order from my chosen collection point. In the end, exasperated, I asked her to just give me the code that I would need to reproduce at the delivery address in order to collect my goods. What should have been a 5.5 mile trip ended up being an 11 round mile trip instead with the extra wasted time thrown in for good measure. I subsequently collected my goods which I am very happy with by the way. On reflection, although the Charles Clinkard call handler asked if I had received a tracking email/information and I confirmed I had not - surely at that point she should have warned me that I would not be able to collect unless I had the right information, i.e. code, to collect my order. Nothing was said by the call handler when I confirmed I had not received anything from CollectPlus. I did say I would go immediately to collect as I had the car that day and was able to collect myself, rather than waiting for several days. I have used CollectPlus only once before, and it is quite some time ago, but based on this experience, I will not be using CollectPlus again and will instead have any future goods delivered direct to me which I will obviously have to pay for. Shopping with Charles Clinkard usually a good experience spoilt by the inadequacies of CollectPlus.

Collectplus are an external company who offer the option to our customers to conveniently collect thier item from a drop off point, this takes away the waiting for a parcel to turn up and is also a great way of returning a parcel too. Collectplus should forward an email to you confirming the tracking to you or the other option is the information is sent via text to a mobile number should this be included on the order. Following this tracking, once the item is at your chosen point a Collection Code is sent to the customer to enable them to collect the parcel. We are sorry you were not made aware that you required a code and we will ensure our Customer Services Team are updated with this information. We offer free standard delivery to a UK address so there is no charge unless you opted for a quicker service which there is a small fee for, you can also opt for Collect in a Charles Clinkard store without charge should one be local to you. boots are not good fit, very narrow and rigid, not wide fit as advertised. I will try to send them back

I usually wear a size 2 1/2 or 3 in your shoes and I ordered both sizes fully expecting that one pair would fit. Both were too small which is unheard of. Then to send both pairs back it’s costing me over £8. I was going to ask for an exchange for the next size rather than a refund but this has changed my mind. Who knows whether the bigger size will fit! Your sizing needs to be standardized so that this doesn’t happen.

Gabor is a continental brand also and their conversions will not be uniform to others however we understand your disappointment and will ensure the manufacturer is informed of this. We offer free standard UK delivery however do ask for returns to be paid for. There are different options via the Post Office and you can also opt to use other courier services should these be available to you. Thank you for your review. We are sorry to hear that you have paid £11 on the courier of your choice We have a link on our website where you can be directed to print out a label for your returns. This is £4.49 and covers up to 10 kilo on a tracked service, so that you can return several items together and hope that this information does help if you decide to shop with us again in the future. Yu can also take any returns to a Charles Clinkard store if you have any near to you and therefore there would be no cost to yourself. Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Although we sell Clarks shoes, we do sell many other brands also, to take a shoe back to Clarks, you would need to have bought this from Clarks. We do have stores, our name is Charles Clinkard and we have many stores around the country. We do deliver free of charge and ask customers to cover the cost of returns, however you can buy a label on our website that covers up to 10 kilo of returns for the low cost of £4.49. You can however use any other method of posting and Royal Mail tends to be lower if there is only one item. Ordered shoes in a size which was too large. Re ordered smaller size, 3 days later was informed you had run out of stock. Also the image of the Halkirk boots does not depict a large length of shoe lace which needs to be tied in a bow at the front of the boot. Ok if you like the look.

The delivery went very well and was prompt. However the shoes had some black missing where the leather joins the welt. The shoes look generally creased and not of the usual high standard. There was packaging missing from inside the box indicating that the shoes had been previously taken out and worn. This this was definitely not a good buying experience for me, as I know Gabor does have really high standards normally.

The shoes were sold as size 8, when put against numerous other pairs owned they were nowhere near a size 8.

Happy with boots, even they were on the tight side so had to return by post of which I’m not happy to pay a return charge. Surely that should be free if a item is unsuitable, so that’s why i have only rated Charles Clinkard 2!

Was not able to obtain phone signal to show bar code in shop. No bar code, no handover of goods. Shoes way too narrow. Faff to return them. Reluctant to try this service again.

I placed an order for a shoes and a different shoes was delivered, I think it’s Clark’s issue as I have ordered the same shoes form Littlewoods and the same thing happened, however, I think they should have checked before sending the order.

Shoes had a different shade . one was brand new , one looked as if it had been tried on a few times, also they were different heels than advertised on the internet

I am afraid you were unable to send me the colour I ordered, So I would like to return my order if you are able to exchange the bag I ordered for the correct colour. I ordered the colour to match the shoes I brought which was sand but you sent me another colour, who’s name I do not know.
