Thought this site was connected with clarks unfortunately not so cant return to store cost me just short of £5 to return wont be using this site again

Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Although we sell Clarks shoes, we do sell many other brands also, to take a shoe back to Clarks, you would need to have bought this from Clarks. We do have stores, our name is Charles Clinkard and we have many stores around the country. We do deliver free of charge and ask customers to cover the cost of returns, however you can buy a label on our website that covers up to 10 kilo of returns for the low cost of £4.49. You can however use any other method of posting and Royal Mail tends to be lower if there is only one item. We issue complete all returns within 48 hours of them arriving here and will email you to let you know that your refund has been processed. Kind regards, Janice Ruddock Customer services

Ordered shoes in a size which was too large. Re ordered smaller size, 3 days later was informed you had run out of stock. Also the image of the Halkirk boots does not depict a large length of shoe lace which needs to be tied in a bow at the front of the boot. Ok if you like the look.

The item will have been listed as low stock on our website, which indicates and advises there is 3 or less pairs within the company and the availability cannot be guaranteed. Although the order usually processes as normal, on a rare occasion we may be unable to fulfil the order and subsequently need to cancel. The delivery went very well and was prompt. However the shoes had some black missing where the leather joins the welt. The shoes look generally creased and not of the usual high standard. There was packaging missing from inside the box indicating that the shoes had been previously taken out and worn. This this was definitely not a good buying experience for me, as I know Gabor does have really high standards normally.

The shoes were sold as size 8, when put against numerous other pairs owned they were nowhere near a size 8.

Happy with boots, even they were on the tight side so had to return by post of which I’m not happy to pay a return charge. Surely that should be free if a item is unsuitable, so that’s why i have only rated Charles Clinkard 2!

Thank you for your review. We do send out all of our orders in the UK free of charge and ask if our customers can cover the cost of returns. If you have many returns, you can purchase a label from our website for £4.49 which will cover up to 10 kilo and will enable you to return several items for the one low charge. Was not able to obtain phone signal to show bar code in shop. No bar code, no handover of goods. Shoes way too narrow. Faff to return them. Reluctant to try this service again.

We do offer home delivery and have the option of DPD who can leave the item safe ie neighbour, shed or a porch for example. We also have the option of Royal Mail who if you are not available they will take back to their local delivery office and ensure a card is left so you can collect at your own convenience. We ask customers to pay towards the cost of the return if an item is unsuitable, we recommend a tracked service for the return however you can use a service convenient to you. I placed an order for a shoes and a different shoes was delivered, I think it’s Clark’s issue as I have ordered the same shoes form Littlewoods and the same thing happened, however, I think they should have checked before sending the order.

Shoes had a different shade . one was brand new , one looked as if it had been tried on a few times, also they were different heels than advertised on the internet

I am afraid you were unable to send me the colour I ordered, So I would like to return my order if you are able to exchange the bag I ordered for the correct colour. I ordered the colour to match the shoes I brought which was sand but you sent me another colour, who’s name I do not know. One of the few places that doesn’t include a prepaid postage label for returns. £8 postage in total on a pair of £37 boots that were returned is ridiculous! Unfortunately this means I won’t order from you again...

You sent the wrong size Seibel shoes are known for their generous fit and you sent the bigger size as a shoe retailer you should be aware of the products you are selling

You advisted girls boots by geox but when they arrived they were wrong ones .and a member of your staff said you have never stocked them but I got a email saying they were bk in stock . I always shop at Middlesbrough store for my self and granddaughters .

Although I was delighted with the quality of the sandals I ordered unfortunately they were not suitable. What I was not happy with was the cost of the return. I have already been in touch with you regarding the problem which was the cost of the return by recorded delivery as was requested in the return slip. It did not detail that information succinctly ie if I had chosen the other method the cost would have been £4 99p whereas the Royal Mail recorded delivery which I know realise offered two methods but the one chosen cost £8 70p. I have been a customer for many years as my records may show and my recent experience was not a happy one.

Collectplus is £4.49 and covers up to 10kg in weight, you print off a label then you can drop this off at a point near to you. The Post Office do have different costs as they have adifferent method of priving up a return and we are sorry if you felt this was expensive. We will pass over your feedback regarding costing of Collectplus so this can be included on the invoice a customer returns allowing a customer to make a more informed choice when sending back an item to us. You can return to a Charles Clinkard store or to our Head Office. We recommend a tracked service, as we do not take responsibility for the parcel until it has been signed for at our Head Office. A Collect Plus label can be purchased through the returns section of our website, this standardises the price to £4.49. I ordered a pair of shoes size 5[uk], and was sent size 3. Very disappointed as the shoes were meant to be worn on 3rd August, for an occasion.
