I went into the store to buy a pair of Size 8, 42, Reiker boots but they didn't have my size. The shop ordered them for me, to be delivered to me FOC. When they arrived they were 7.5, 41s. They didn't fit. When I took them back to the shop, I was told we always get 7.5 as it is the UK 8. 42s were then ordered, delivered to me and they fit. Sorted out in the end.

It is sometimes difficult with EU sizes as some countries relate a a ladies 8 to a 41 and others to a 42. If however you are used to a 42, then of course this should have been done for you. The website is clear and easy to use. However I couldn't get £1 off by liking your FB page so I rang the number provided - it was the wrong number; aarrggghh. I had to search for another number and spoke to a helpful lady (Janice?) who said she'd take the £1 off before dispatch - I don't believe that happened. However the communication with regard to dispatch was excellent.

They didn't. The online catalogue wasn't kept up to date and it took 2 days to inform me I couldn't purchase the goods I wanted to. When I did chose an item I wanted and was in stock I didn't get a confirmation email or a despatch note. I was just suddenly advised by the despatch company that they had a parcel awaiting collection.

Hello, Whilst the product seems new and unused, the box the cleaners came was damaged and knarled. I bought this item as a gift and was embarrassed by its presentation. I would have returned it but didn’t due to your return postage cost. I would not recommend your company. Regards Gary Cartwright

In our terms and conditions it says please allow 2 to 5 working days for dispatch, this is so that if we do not have the stock in our warehouse we can get it in from one of our stores for you. For £2.99 we guarantee a dispatch within 3 working days so that it is with you by the 4th working day and also an overnight service which is £5.99. We email you on the day that you place the order with order confirmation and then again on the day of dispatch to let you know that the order is on its way. Would be more inclined to use again if you paid for the cost of returns as other stores do.

Many customers buy more than one pair at a time so we have a label on our website at a reduced cost of £4.09 which will cover up to 10 kilo allowing for several pair of shoes to be returned for this low cost. Alternatively you can take back to a Charles Clinkard store if you have one near to you where they will be able to process a refund for you. We are sorry that you are disappointed but at the present time customers prefer the free delivery rather than the free returns as it benefits all. With regards, Janice Ruddock

I was pleased the slippers came exactly as described. However, delivery took 5 working days which felt unusually long since there was not much communication from CC between the time the order placed and the time the order was dispatched.

Good selection of girls boots available when other stores sold out. However dismayed that I could not go to my local Charles Clinkard shop with my granddaughter to choose and try on boots. I would have had to travel 50 ml round trip to visit a store selling children's shoes and a fitting service!

Thank you for your review. When you order you can have the shoes sent to Charles Clinkard store of your choice to try the boots on your grandaughter. Unfortunately we do have to take a payment before we can do this but you can have a full refund arranged in the store should the shoes not be suitable to your requirements. would be nice to have a return service like collect plus etc. Recorded delivery cost £8.60 so won't be using again.

the shoes were sent quickly. and were the right size. however they didn't match the web page photo that well and were less substanatial than I expected. For a winter shoe they are disappointing and I intend to return them unused.

Good delivery service but no text to say what day to expect the delivery ,unfortunately the shoes I ordered were to big didn't reorder a smaller side because if they dint fit I'd have to pay for more postage so I think that really lets your service down .

We do ask if you can cover returns in our terms and conditions and if an exchange is needed then again we will send out free of postage costs. You can take back within 35 to a Charles Clinkard store or by a collect + label at a reduced price on our website which covers up to 10 kilo for £4.09 allowing you to send several items back at the same time. didn't have a problem with ordering shoes and they were delivered on time. Unfortunately when the shoes arrived they where to tight and have now been returned for an exchange of larger size which should arrive soon. I am surprised i have had to pay for return postage when i was unable to try the original shoes on before purchase. Will wait until the new shoes arrive before i make another review

With returns if it is costly for a heavier item we have a label on our website that you can buy for £4.09 which will cover up to 10 kilo. Delivery time was fab not so good on communication, returned item at my own cost expecting to exchange onlybto be given a refund without any explanation! Now cannot find my order- dispite a phone call explaining my return prior to posting and being told that an exchange would be no problem
