Not really happy as the return postage cost over £8!

Hello , Thankyou for your review. We are sorry you were disappointed with the returns policy we offer. We have a fantastic free delivery option which we feel benefits customers more however please be assured we have fedback your comments regarding this to be looked at in the future. Returns can be take to a local Charles Clinkard store however I note the nearest one to yourself is around 25 miles away. Collectplus costs £4.09 and you can return up to 10kg for this cost, ideal for larger items and for multiple purchases. Additionally there is a fee at the Post Office, this can vary depending on which service you use. Good choice of girls school shoes..but as there is no free returns I probably unlikely to order from you again, especially if I'm choosing several pairs for choice!

With regards to returns, we do offer a free delivery service and do ask our customers to cover the cost of returning these. The options are to return them to a store with the invoice and an exchange or a refund can be processed for you. Collectplus offers a return service for £4.09 which covers 10kg in weight, ideal for multiple pairs and larger items. You can also send back via Royal Mail or additional services offer at your local Post Office for a small fee. I ordered two Kangol bags online thinking Charles Clinkard would only stock quality bags. I was appalled at the quality when they arrived. However staff at the Newcastle upon tyne shop could not have been more helpful in refunding my money. So poor for quality but excellent for service in Newcastle

Very fast delivery. Disappointed that the item I wanted wasn't instore as I prefer to try shoes on but the sizing is good. Will look to purchase from them again.

I ordered my son some school shoes and unfortunately the order was duplicated so I was debited twice. The company were great, as soon as I notified them they refunded me the duplicated amount and recalled the duplicate order . However the Vans I purchased split after one wearing. The company immediately sent a returns label and despatched another pair once they received notification from the PO that I was returning the faulty shoes. The company promised to express next day delivery another pair of Vans but unfortunately the PO was not reliable and I received the replacement Vans 5 days later. It does not sound a great experience but the customer service was excellent and the faulty brand and unreliable PO was out of their control.

Web site worked well and quickly. However to tell me minutes before my parcel was being delivered is useless. I need to know in advance what hour to be at home for delivery, otherwise there is no point in telling me at all. To be told that the hour of delivery is now and the delivery is made at that moment is of no use. I waited in for the parcel for 4 hours then went out for an hour only to have the parcel attempted to be delivered at the moment I left, but more importantly the hour I was told the delivery would be started at the same time as an attempt was made to deliver the parcel. It then took 22 hours for the parcel to reach my PDP pick up point.

I returned the shoes has the colour was not has stated. I ordered red shoes but they were orange. Very disappointed has I had to pay return postage for a pair of shoes that were not described properly

Lovely shoes, but not the ones I ordered. The photo is different from the product (different stitching). Lovely packaging, but not everyone will keep the box which makes it over packaged. Perhaps an option to select whether or not to receive your shoes in a box would help lower waste. Delivery was odd - there is a CC shop near me but that wasn't an option I could select for collection.

Thank you for taking time to leave us some feedback. If you can get in touch with us regarding the product you received we would love to resolve the problem you have experienced. The photographs on our website are of the items we have in stock, so we would like to identify where the difference is. In regards to the packaging, we wouldn't want to remove the box because it is the purpose of the box to protect the shoes in transit - so whilst a lot of people will not want to keep the box, they would want to receive their shoes in the best possible condition. We are committed to streamlining the packaging used though, so I will pass your comments on to see if there's some way around this because I do agree, a lot of people may not want to keep the box the shoes come in and if there's a way to avoid the additional packaging that would help us in our aim. The option to deliver to a Charles Clinkard store is available to you at the checkout when placing your order. Unfortunately the fact it isn't an option once we have dispatched your order to your home address is out of our hands - DPD have their own options to offer as an alternative to home delivery and we can't have one of our stores as an option. I ordered some Sketchers deck shoes from you and they arrived very promptly however I have been since told that Sketchers are rather larger than the set size. The shoes I received were too big for me although I did order my correct size. It has cost me £4.09 to return them, with the cost of the shoe that is £61.09 and I am awaiting a size smaller. I am disappointed because a local store now has the said shoe for £50.00.

Hello, Thank you for your review. We are sorry to ehar that these shoes were too large for you and have had a look at the reviews on other sites to see what others say. So far we have only come across positive reviews saying that the shoes are very comfortable and nobody has mentioned that they come up large in size. Your comments may help others when they are deciding which shoe and size to buy. With regard to the store near to you having this shoe in at a lower price, we do have a price promise but there are certain criteria that need to be within that promise before we can do this. Great boots paid via PayPal l had a £6 voucher so used it,however it didn't come off my bill Charles clinkards said it would come off when I submitted the payment but it never did so I felt scammed

Thank you for your review. We do apologise that this happened, sometimes when there is low stock an order may be placed and demand outstrips supply. We do take the item off our website as soon as it is unavailable but on the odd occasion such as this it happened that 2 orders were placed at a similar time. Unfortunately on rare occasions, if it is a low stock item - as indicated by 'hurry low stock' on the website, demand can outstrip supply and we are in that situation, forced to cancel your order. We are just as disappointed when we have to do this, and make every effort to avoid it - including attempting to source from our stores and directly from the supplier. It was easy to place the order which arrived well within the time anticipated. I was able to track the delivery which was left according to my instructions. However, the packaging had to be re-sealed by the delivery company. Also, I had not realised that I would have to pay the return postage for the shoes I did not want. I had ordered 4 different pairs as I did not know how they would fit (they needed to be comfortable), so I only kept one pair. Luckily I was able to return the other three pairs to a Clinkard shop as, unusually, I happened to be near one. Therefore, it is unlikely I will use your on-line facility again.

Customer service excellent. Easy return and they sent me a returns label. The shoes I ordered were called antique silver. They were actually a bronze colour. Just call them bronze rather that than a fancy name. I wanted silver not bronze.

Shoes were gorgeous sadly after just a few hours wear the gold has rubbed off leaving very noticeable bare patches and this is a one year old wearing them in doors and not walking yet. Very disappointed 😒
