I received a message informing me that my order had been dispatched on 21/09/15 and I still have not received my order, the order number is 759306 - Steptronic Austin Mens Formal Boots, cost 91-69 with a charge of 16 pounds for delivery. Nice boots. All went well except that my mailing address was wrong on the package. I have a difficult address, though (11 1/2), which gets garbled all the time. Otherwise went smoothly and the boots fit.

Right boot has visible wear by the pull up Tab compared to the left boot which has none Suggests ex display stock which I did not see on your site Any way I ve got them now but I won't be back Regards. Ray Bird

Requested that my parcel was left at side gate if not in. This request was ignored and I had to collect from parcel office which was very inconvenient!!

Delivery time was reasonable but I have known better. The sandals were very comfortable but sadly far too wide. Sending these back is costing me a lot of money.... I have yet to find out if this all goes smoothly.

When ordering i was pleased to see an option to have the parcel left behind the side gate at my property. However the item was then dispatched by Royal Mail who required a signature. As i was not in when delivery was attempted this meant a drive of 20 miles to the nearest sorting office. Had this option not been offered i would have chosen to have a delivery to my workplace and saved a lot of time and inconvenience.

Shoes arrived perfect and fitters fitted them well but they took a long time to be delivered. A full week after ordering. Speed up your delivery times and service will be perfect!

Hello Amy, Thank you for your feedback and I am sorry you were not happy with speed of our delivery. Unfortunately at the moment, we can only offer 2-5 working days for dispatch, to customers placing orders in store. This is to do with where we source it from. Your order was dispatched on the 3rd working day and delivered on the 4th, but I am sorry if our lead time wasn't explained to you when you placed the order. We are exploring means to offer expedited services in store, but unfortunately this isn't something we have in place at the moment. For some reason I always have problems trying to order online - password not recognised but known to be correct and such like. However service when I phone is excellent. Regarding the online photographs, as one of my biggest concerns is width across the toes I would appreciate being able to better judge this than at present. (a more birds-eye view perhaps?)

Clear website and easy to use. Communication was excellent until the delivery day when I received two emails regarding the time of the delivery. The first stated an afternoon delivery, the second indicated that the package would arrive that morning. After waiting in, the package was delivered in the afternoon. A whole day wasted!

The order process was simple and the order arrived quickly, however the item that was sent out was not what I ordered. The website clearly listed and showed that the Birkenstocks on sale were Regular fit, and indeed the (damaged) box that arrived was for a pair of Regular fit shoes -- however the shoes inside were Narrow fit. Probably wouldn't use Charles Clinkard again on this showing.

I see you have returned the shoes to one of our stores and have received a refund, we would have been happy to provide a pre paid label for you on this occasion. I was very happy with the Birkenstocks I purchased but I thought the delivery service was very slow, so wouldn't use them again if I wanted something in a hurry. You can of course pay an extra £5.99 to get your order sooner????

Our normal dispatch time is 2-5 workign days and I can see your order was dispatched 2 days after placing the order and delivery was made 48 hours later. We do offer a express delivery service which is £2.99 or next day is available on some products for £5.99. product delivered with no problems , when I opened the sandals and tried them on there was all sticky stuff stuck on the inside of the sandal. Because I liked them I had to wash the inside before I could where them. This is only I minor problem , but when buying new I expect them to be in perfect condition ..

The delivery was really slow and the promise of an email from Royal Mail never appeared. My slippers are lovely and once they have taken to my feet will be very comfortable. Whether they are worth the price tag - we will see. Meanwhile I am happy, thank you

I went first to our local Charles Clinkard shop which I rate highly. The staff are very helpful and many of the shoes stocked are suitable for people of my age. I particularly like Gabor shoes which i know will fit me. I saw a pair of Gabor shoes (which I subsequently ordered from you) but they were not available in my size. So I came home and looked up the Gabor website, found the shoes I had seen in your shop and rang to order a pair. To my surprise, the phone number put me through to Charles Clinkard! I very pleasant man took my order and as I was short of time before I needed to wear the shoes, I asked for express delivery. These days, I find express delivery comes within 24 hours, but these shoes took three days, not including the day I ordered them. I thought this was too long. Also, I was surprised that our local Charles Clinkard shop did not offer to find out whether the shoes were available in my size elsewhere so that they could have ordered them for me. Two disappointing aspects of the experience, but it will not stop me visiting our local shop or buying Gabor shoes.

Takes a long time for delivery. Sandels looked worn so took them back to the store and they gave me a discount as it was the last pair.

The description on the web page did not indicate any special width fitting. This meant that the shoes arrived in 37H not a standard 37. The shoes were huge on me even with 2 pairs of socks. I was very disappointed they had to be returned as the shoes were lovely and just what I wanted style wise.
