The whole process was a nightmare Very slow despatch and no advice that the shoes had reached the Cheltenham Store. Called in by chance and the shoes had been in the store for days and staff tried to say I had been emailed. This added insult to injury as I monitor my emails carefully and was waiting for the shoes. In addition there was nowhere to input my loyalty card online and shop said it was automatic. When challenged they found it was not and said they would input the purchase. I wonder…….

Was very disappointed when ordering my Cara high knee boots I asked what the fit was like and my reply was that no one had returned them I was not made aware that the boots was going to take a week for delivery if that was the case I wouldn’t have ordered as I was going on holiday needed them.The boots arrived a week later to find they were a very small fit nothing like a size 8 and also I couldn’t get the zip past my ankle I returned them and had to pay £12 postage not a happy customer false sales talk

Standard delivery is dispatched within five working days, ( this does not include the weekend or bank holidays) we do have extra services which may be available such as Next Day or Express for an additional fee and these will guarantee a quicker arrival for you. The boots were ordered and arrived scratched and damaged with marks all over them. Unfortunately the boot didn’t get to be worn, so the scores are on the basis of my experience of when I did try them on. I wasn’t particularly impressed with the customer service levels of the staff at Stratford Upon Avon Charles Clinkard who tried to imply the damage was my fault when in fact they arrived in that state.

Would not purchase from you as you do not have a free returns policy, customers have to pay at their own expense for the return postage. Tracked is £8.99 to ensure it is returned safely or the refund will not be paid out. All online companies have a safe return policy. This should be made know to your customers when purchasing from you.

Wrong item sent out. Everyone makes mistakes, but would expect to be offered a discount or similar for the time/hassle it took to return the item. Thanks for arranging the refund with less fuss.

Sadly when my order arrived the childrens Doctor Martens had been worn previously and were creased . Had to return the order as as they didn’t have another pair in the size .

The Bugatti shoes I got are scratched and it is clear these have already been used. They should be replaced! Please call me on 07783974823 to advise me how to return them and be refunded. I am very disappointed and you should offer better remedial action.

When we do not have an item left in our warehouse, as we have several stores around the country, we may ask for a pair to come back to us to fulfil an order, this has happened on this occasion, so your shoe may have been tried on in store. You need to make it clear to customers that they have to pay return for items, themselves. Had I known that, I wouldn’t have used your online shop. It’s too expensive.

Bought a pair of boots, sadly too small. Cost me £11 to return them! I then bought the same boots from Amazon in 2 different sizes and could return the pair that didn’t fit free of charge. Boots were the same price at both Amazon and Charles Clinkard. I will not attempt to buy shoes again from you as feel it is necessary with shoes to try and sometimes return.

The website does include as much information regarding both delivery and returns to allow our customers to make an informed choice We give free delivery on orders over £40.00 and you have up to 365 days to return if unworn and in the original packing for a refund or an exchange. Returns can be taken to a Post Office or customers are welcome to take them to a Charles Clinkard store or use an alternative service convenient to you. Amazon is a marketplace and has the facility for other retailers to choose the relevant services however some will come at a premium to the customer or the store selling. The most bad company that I face whole my life , This the communication done between me and customer service due to I need to change size of shoes & delayed sending other shoes 👇 This Comoany the worst Comoany that I face whole of my life , abusing customer, very rude for email reply , not clear in terms and conditions, I order 2 shoes and I have 3 issues: First one tan shoe I didn’t receive it up to now, 2nd issue , I received the black shoes but unfortunately size 9.5 ( 44 ) I need to change to 8 (42) 3rd issues the shoes I received I pay 233 Emirts Dirhams for customs inDubai ? And in information of shoes during payment no any information about extra payment Waiting your reply This they reply m sorry I can see that your tan shoes failed to get delivered and we will receive them back today, I have already made a note to resend these out as soon as we receive them back. Unfortunately, due to the destination being international you would need to send your size 9.5’s back to us and reorder the size 8 on a different order. Customs in other countries charge different amounts based on the price of the package if it’s over £150, this is something we can’t control. I can only apologise for the delivery issue, we will get them sent out as soon as they arrive back here. Very bad and very difficult communication, a kind of abuse customer

My mother has bought several pairs of shoes from your Ilkley shop in the past, unfortunately upon purchasing her last pair of boots, once she got them home to try on, she realised that the zip was incredibly stiff. After returning the boots to the store she was very rudely told that there was nothing wrong with them, now I have also tried to use the zip and it is definitely not a quality item! The boots have not been worn and according to the website you offer 365 day returns, but this was not even offered at the time, again even though the boots have clearly not been worn. Extremally disappointing customer service given when previously my mother has always been satisfied with the service. I personally will be encouraging her to shop else where as this is simply not good enough in this day and age not to care about the level of customer service given.

I ordered a pair of Gabor boots that were supposed to be wide. I went 1 size up after reading the reviews and they were far too small and not wide at all. I then arranged an exchange for a pair 2 sizes up and when they arrived they had a piece of metal sticking up inside the boot. After ringing again I was told that size had sold out. Through no fault of my own I have lost out on boots I really like. There appears to be no quality control and selling boots that are not wide when they are advertised as wide is dreadful.

The Gabor Bastia are classed as an extra wide fitting however as size is individual and many factors such as the shape of the boot, the arch as well as the materials and the last used when making the item can affect how an item feels to each customer. The style is now no longer available however we are very sorry you found a fault with the item, its not something we would expect from Gabor and the feedback regarding this has been forwarded directly to them. I gave one * for return policy. I ordered 2 pairs of shoes of my size but both of them were too big for me , despite the fact that I had ordered the same size of shoes from your site before . It seems that shoes getting bigger? Or you give wrong information on your site? So I had to return 2 pair of shoes and then I realised that for to try shoes from your site is cost me about £8 -so much Royal Mail charge for to send shoes to you. Another option is Collect + but to print label I have to have printer which I haven’t got. To print label in library was impossible as libraries are closed in my area due to pandemic. So shoes is still here . I called to your customer service asked to send me return label for Collect + which could pay, but I have been told that it is impossible. Very careless attitude! No help at all. I think that during pandemic you could send return labels and not put your customers in such situation, bear in mind how expensive your shoes are you could sort out the problem with return and not be so nasty to your customers.

I was very disappointed with the quality of the shoes.particularly the soles.i actually slipped in them.i have bought many of the reiker shoes over the years because of the quality.i shant be buying anymore.why have you changed the product.they appear cheap.
