I ordered a uk 10 and they sent a saltwater 10 even though the website states you must select uk size. I was disappointed when they came and were too small as we were going away the following day. The lady on the phone was very nice when I explained what had happened and she said it must have been a mistake their end as she could see that is ordered a uk 10 (saltwater 11) yet they had sent me saltwater 19 (uk 9) They didn't offer to pay the return postage so I've had to pay to return them. Annoying when it was an error their end and I'd already paid £47 for the sandals!

Shoes arrived - had been worn. Marks on the surface and a black stain on the wedge heel. Very disappointing. Also not true to size. I always buy a size 5 and these shoes were very big. Quick response however from customer services and a prepaid label sent for their return - hence the two stars.

Was very unhappy with delivery service Chased my order after five days and was told it had been delivered... it had but to wrong address!! The delivery service clearly forged my signature. I therefore did not receive my shoes (3 pairs) until it was too late I know discover I ha e to pay for the return of one pair as you DO NOT OFFER FREE RETURBS which is not stated very clearly on your website I WILL NOT BE PURCHASING AGAIN - free returns is essential When ordering on line

I love Clinkard’s. I usually shop in a store and the range of shoes and knowledge of the staff can be relied upon to help me make a perfect choice. So when I saw some shoes online that weren’t in the store I decided to order online for the first time. I wasn’t expecting the price of the shoes to go up the minute a 15% discount was offered. That is is not the sort of practice I expect from a quality company. My second objection is that I read the returns policy online, but it wasn’t until I received the shoes that I realised I would have to pay for returns. These are heavy shoes. I feel badly let down and Clinkard’s name is not now the good company I thought it was.

We have looked into your order and the product request was the Gabor Jess which is priced at £85.00 online, this is the current retail price and the sandal has not been in our sales recently. The discount offered was our Bank Holiday code, this was applicable to all items and please be assured no price increases were added to compensate for this. We offer standard delivery which is free and disparched within 2-5 working days, returns are payable by our customers however you are welcome to take them into a store (Milton Keynes is currently your nearest option). Collectplus is £4.49 for up to 10kg and ideal for larger orders/multiple items. We pride ourselves in Customer Service and giving the best possible experience online and instore. Poor service - first time I’ve ever not felt welcome at your Sheffield Meadowhall store. There were 2 people in the store, the ticket machine had no tickets in it. Once someone could be bothered to come out front I was asked why I hadn’t got a ticket! I pointed out there were no tickets and the lady felt the need to check, clearly I’d make that up! She then tried to convince me my sons feet had grown from a 12 to 13 but the sandals she put on him looked frankly ridiculous and absolutely massive. Plus I didn’t really want to spend over £30 on sandals he’s only going to wear on a 2 week holiday. Funny how she didn’t put the other pair on him that were £10 cheaper. It’s not really about cost it’s more value given the purpose. If she’d shown any interest then she would have understood. Overall her attitude was unfriendly, unhelpful and not the standard I expect in clinkards.

The sandals I ordered are lovely but are 2.5cm higher than stated on your website (7cm not 4.5cm). I will be keeping them but won’t be able to wear them as much as I’d like. I don’t normally buy clothes or shoes online and after this I probably won’t in future.

Actually, I'm sure Charles Clinkard are lovely, and I'm sure the shoes would've been perfect, but UK Mail, the delivery company, never delivered them! In the end, it was too late for the event I had ordered them for, and so I cancelled the order. Clinkard refunded and apologised - their staff were very nice and it wasn't their fault, but the delivery company proved to be completely useless.

UK MAIL are an excellent courier and offer a service into which you can have your parcel left in safe place, you can also follow the progress of the order online via their website tracking. We are very sorry they did not meet up to the high standards you would expect and of course have passed over your disappointment directly to them. We also use alternative couriers for customer orders and we can of course opt for a different one. I’ve been waiting for a while for these to come back into stock so was excited to get them and they fit really nicely but unfortunately I was sent a pair which had been worn a lot. They had damaged soles and also the sole was quite worn. Really disappointed. Customer service apologised and refunded but gutted by the process and no boots at the end of it!

I was sent a pair of shoes that had already been worn. The girls that sorted the issue were fantastic, but the fact that this happened in the first place is concerning. I had to get my grandson, with no post office where I live, to take them to the post office near where he works.

I ordered some shoes for a birthday present, the box came extremely damaged. I emailed customer care who kindly replied and said they send me a box and id receive this Tuesday, On Friday now and still haven't received my replacement and ive emailed twice to have no response

I ordered the shoes in a Charles Clinkard shop and I wish I had ordered them online myself as I usually do. The ordering process in the shop took longer than when I order myself. There was a problem with the click and collect delivery which there never has been before. Things seemed so confused that I cancelled the order and I am waiting for a refund. I bought similar shoes at Jones.

Hello, Thankyou for your review. The Collectplus service is only available when placing an order online and I am sorry there was confusion in the store regarding this. Collectplus are a seperate courier and the online system will direct you to their website to select the store of your choice. The store will not have access to this and would only be able to arrange delivery to your home/work or to the store itself. Although this should have been advised when your order was placed. Thank you for your review. We do send all items out free of delivery but as in our terms and conditions we do ask customers to return to a Charles Clinkard store or post back to us. You can buy a returns label on our website for £4.49, this covers up to 10 kilo in weight therefore allowing you to send several pairs back to us at one low cost. If an exchange is needed then once again we send out shoes to our customers with no postal charge. I hope that this information helps. With regards, Janice Ruddock - customer services.

Ordered black received brown so returned them. I would have sent them back even if they were the right colour. I did not like them. I thought I was paying £99 for Charles clinkard shoes. I bought them on their web site and they turned out to be Clarke's shoes. Never again! I felt like I was being ripped off.

Not for me looked like £10 sandals but we're £60 also very big and cost over £4 to return will not use online service again.

With regards to returns, we do send out free of charge and ask customers to cover the cost of returns, however you can take back to a Charles Clinkard store and there are several in your area.
