Evidence that the right sandal had been tried on many times and damaged box which was held together by tape.

We are unaware of any concerns regarding the website on the date you placed your order however can appreciate your disappointment. Collectplus, when the item has arrived at the Collection Point, send an email and a confirmation text to the customer to advise the order is in store and also provide a code. My order was sent to another customer and I received theirs. Was promised a replacement to be sent next day but was not sent until I phoned to chase it Having said that the staff I spoke to on the phone were very apologetic and helpful

Shoes purchased online as walked out of shop due to being ignored and not served by staff. Took a week to arrive. Half order cancelled as bought elsewhere as given up waiting for pumps to arrive yet all of the order then delivered despite being cancelled.

Crocs ordered on a Monday lunchtime, told they were in stock and assured they'd be sent to N/allerton branch by Friday so agreed & paid for them. Phoned N/A was told of the non arrival, also, "the order would not have been sent off until the Tuesday and would take up to 5 working days unless they were sent by post!" Very confusing having been told they were in stock in the first place. Received email the following Tuesday re dispatch so phoned N/A ..... was told 'someone will have phoned to let me know' .... nothing on the answerphone ..... went and collected. I have to say that if I had not been told they were 'in stock' in the first place, I would not have made the purchase as they were required for my son going on holiday that weekend. Perhaps some clarification is required in the first instance when ordering by phone.

Thank you for your review. We are sorry for any confusion in what you have been told. When you order, it can take up to 5 working days to dispatch if you use a standard delivery option (this is a free delivery) this happens wether the item is to go into store for collection or delivered to your home. This is the maximum time that it will take, but will mean that your item will be with you within 6 working days. We do email to let you know when the package is dispatched, when the order arrives in the store, then they should call you to let you know that the order is ready for collection. You should not have had to call to see if it is there. We send a van to our Northallerton store twice a week, Tuesday and Thursday so this may be why they have mentioned that the order would not be in until the Tuesday, but if this meant that it would have been over the given time limit, we would have posted them to store using a next day service so that it would not be late. You can for £2.99 opt for a three day service which will ensure that the item will be with you within 4 working days. I am sorry if you were not offered this as it would have meant that the order would be with you in time. We are genuinely sorry that you have had any inconvenience. The store didn’t have any in and when they looked online they weren’t there neither so I went online at home and bought a pair.

Two things were not great: 1. I ordered two pairs of sandals. The first pair (Capri V Flip Womens Toe Post Sandals Colour: Navy/Pool) were not the colour I had ordered (They were navy and cream). However they fitted well and I needed them straight away, so I decided to keep them. 2. The second pair unfortunately didn't fit well (not the fault of Charles Clinkard). My issue is that instructions for returning are misleading, in that they say returns have to be paid for (even though they are then to be to be dropped off at a CC store)). Reluctantly I paid £4. 49 of a label and followed the instructions to take the shoes back to my local Charles Clinkard store, where I was told that I did not have to pay to take shoes that I had ordered online back to the shop. (The shop themselves were most helpful but couldn't give me that money back).

With regards to the second pair, we cannot guarantee every style will be suitable however are very disappointed they werent quite right for you. Additionally we are sorry for any confusion regarding returns to Charles Clinkard, Collectplus is £4.49, the service offers up to 10kg in weight and ideal for larger items and multiple products. You can pick a drop off point by inserting your postcode into the Collectplus website. Nice-looking shoes, badly sized. Sent back at my own cost (used Royal Mail as it was cheaper than their recommended courier). Swift refund, just a shame they don’t do free returns - will visit the store next time.

Online purchase was fine. However delivery service is appalling: I did not receive my parcel in the timeline stated; the tracking number I was sent did not work; there was no notification as to who was delivering my parcel (I found out after chasing that it was dpd). In the end, I was told that the delivery sticker had come off my package and couldn’t be delivered as an excuse for the non-delivery. Will not shop here due to the delivery service. Don’t bother going for express delivery/next day as this is what I went for and it did not deliver.

I ordered a uk 10 and they sent a saltwater 10 even though the website states you must select uk size. I was disappointed when they came and were too small as we were going away the following day. The lady on the phone was very nice when I explained what had happened and she said it must have been a mistake their end as she could see that is ordered a uk 10 (saltwater 11) yet they had sent me saltwater 19 (uk 9) They didn't offer to pay the return postage so I've had to pay to return them. Annoying when it was an error their end and I'd already paid £47 for the sandals!

Shoes arrived - had been worn. Marks on the surface and a black stain on the wedge heel. Very disappointing. Also not true to size. I always buy a size 5 and these shoes were very big. Quick response however from customer services and a prepaid label sent for their return - hence the two stars.

Was very unhappy with delivery service Chased my order after five days and was told it had been delivered... it had but to wrong address!! The delivery service clearly forged my signature. I therefore did not receive my shoes (3 pairs) until it was too late I know discover I ha e to pay for the return of one pair as you DO NOT OFFER FREE RETURBS which is not stated very clearly on your website I WILL NOT BE PURCHASING AGAIN - free returns is essential When ordering on line

I love Clinkard’s. I usually shop in a store and the range of shoes and knowledge of the staff can be relied upon to help me make a perfect choice. So when I saw some shoes online that weren’t in the store I decided to order online for the first time. I wasn’t expecting the price of the shoes to go up the minute a 15% discount was offered. That is is not the sort of practice I expect from a quality company. My second objection is that I read the returns policy online, but it wasn’t until I received the shoes that I realised I would have to pay for returns. These are heavy shoes. I feel badly let down and Clinkard’s name is not now the good company I thought it was.

Poor service - first time I’ve ever not felt welcome at your Sheffield Meadowhall store. There were 2 people in the store, the ticket machine had no tickets in it. Once someone could be bothered to come out front I was asked why I hadn’t got a ticket! I pointed out there were no tickets and the lady felt the need to check, clearly I’d make that up! She then tried to convince me my sons feet had grown from a 12 to 13 but the sandals she put on him looked frankly ridiculous and absolutely massive. Plus I didn’t really want to spend over £30 on sandals he’s only going to wear on a 2 week holiday. Funny how she didn’t put the other pair on him that were £10 cheaper. It’s not really about cost it’s more value given the purpose. If she’d shown any interest then she would have understood. Overall her attitude was unfriendly, unhelpful and not the standard I expect in clinkards.

The sandals I ordered are lovely but are 2.5cm higher than stated on your website (7cm not 4.5cm). I will be keeping them but won’t be able to wear them as much as I’d like. I don’t normally buy clothes or shoes online and after this I probably won’t in future.

Actually, I'm sure Charles Clinkard are lovely, and I'm sure the shoes would've been perfect, but UK Mail, the delivery company, never delivered them! In the end, it was too late for the event I had ordered them for, and so I cancelled the order. Clinkard refunded and apologised - their staff were very nice and it wasn't their fault, but the delivery company proved to be completely useless.

I’ve been waiting for a while for these to come back into stock so was excited to get them and they fit really nicely but unfortunately I was sent a pair which had been worn a lot. They had damaged soles and also the sole was quite worn. Really disappointed. Customer service apologised and refunded but gutted by the process and no boots at the end of it!
