Incorrect item sent but in correct packaging Then told I had to return before correct item sent out. they said they would send it next day delivery once incorrect item returned, but still waiting for item to arrive.

Hello Harriet Thankyu for your review. Please accept our sincere apologies, items are checked prior to dispatch and it is very disappointing that you did not get the correct order. We can confirm the item was sent out on the 8th January 2018 however it was not on an overnight service, it was posted via Royal Mail 48 hour and this would expalin the delay in the order. I found the Gabor boots I ordered by doing a search on the Charles Clinkard website and refining my search by selecting the colour ‘grey’ as I specifically wanted grey boots. The boots I choose were described as ‘Anthracite’ in colour and indeed looked dark grey on the photo. But when they arrived they were actually dark brown and the girl and Charles Clinkard agreed with me. So do not rely on the refine search facility. Best to go to the shop and see for yourself

We do offer a comprehensive filter which allows the customer to choose colours as well as heel height and fit. We have fed this back to have this updated. I didn't realise I would have to pay for returns , I obviously didnt do my research but its not usual to have to pay for returns on other sites I use

Delivery was excellent however, one of the boot heels was damaged and looked as if it had been worn. Not what I expected at £160.00. It is now going to cost me either to post back or return to a local store which is about 25 miles away. Product control needs carefull attention.

Hi Caroline, Thank you for your feedback, which I will of course pass onto our carrier account manager. If you're not in to sign for your parcel, the carrier will attempt a neighbour, before leaving it in a safe place. I can see from the tracking that your next door neighbour was in to sign for you parcel when delivery to your address was unsuccessful. Had the neighbour not been in your instructions to be left in a safe place would have been followed. If you specifically don't want delivery to a neighbour, we need to communicate this to the carrier before delivery, because this is something they will attempt as a default unless instructed otherwise. Hello, Thankyou for taking the time to leave a review. Whilst we do offer free standard delivery on everything, unfortunately free returns isn’t something we offer at the moment. We regularly review customers comments and pass these on however there are a number of options you can use: STORE-You can return these to a store without cost, just take along the shoes and an invoice for a refun/exchange COLLECTPLUS-£4.49 for up to 10KG in weight, this is convenient in that you can choose where you drop off the item. ROYAL MAIL-There are a number of services available in the Post Office and returns start from a coupleof pounds depending on the weight and length of your return. We hope this will help. The boots arrived well packaged and promptly. However, they were not the right fit so I then looked at the returns policy, thinking they could be returned by Collect Plus (no cost). Had I realised that all returns had to be paid for (I don’t live near a Charles Clinkard store) I would not have ordered the boots.

Whilst we offer free delivery at this present time, returns are payable by the customer however please be assured your comments have been recorded and we may look to offer this in the future. Collectplus is £4.49 to return up to 10KG and is ideal for multiple items and larger products like boots. Additionally you can take into store or go to your local Post Office to return. Not happy that you have to pay for returns. You can never tell if a product is going to be suitable or the correct size and having to pay recorded delivery makes the product expensive.

Whilst we offer a free delivery service currently we are not offering free returns however products can be taken into a local Charles Clinkard store for an exchange or a refund. We note that Stratford may be an option in the future. The Padder shoes I ordered on-line were too small and I returned them to your Warwick store on Monday 20th November and a half-size larger would be ordered for me and they would 'phone me when they were available. I have now rung the shop twice and am currently awaiting a call to say they have,or not,received them.

Boots brought for my daughter that then had to returned as they kept slipping off. When returned they asked if the member of staff had asked another qualified member of staff to check the sizing as the member of staff that served us was new. Obviously we weren’t to know the member of staff was new. When trying to then find another pair of boots to fit her narrow feet they said the style we first left with was the wrong style for her feet. We then had little choice to fit her feet so left without boots. The only reason we marked a 2 star is that the member of staff to start with was polite.

I can see you ordered them online, rather than had them fitted in store – but from your message I understand you took them into store to be fitted? We do pride ourselves on the level of service we offer children in store, and that includes a precise and thorough fitting service. The slippers seemed second hand like returns , the packing was lacking the usual tissue and foot packing compared to CLARKS. In fact you can see the quality around the soles is not of the normal quality but already on delivery is is separating in places seconds I would call it. I need to return these. .

I am quite a large lady and was actually buying shoes for my husband. I felt I was judged from the minute I entered the shop by the assistant. I am more than able to afford to buy in this shop!!! You don't judge a book by its cover. They lost a further sale as I'd have bought shoes for myself but I just got my husband's and left. Had she been less judgy she could have easily got me interested in ladies shoes. Mmmmm

I have struggled to find boots for my daughter as she has very thin feet, especially her heels. Tried ordering some that were from Start rites last season only available still here at rather a high price. Unfortunately when they arrived apart from disappointingly being too wide they were also of very poor quality with damaged leather. Due to them being knee high they were rather bulky and heavy making returning them rather expensive. It would be helpful if damaged goods could be returned at no expense to the customer, or if they were quality checked before dispatch. Otherwise the service received was satisfactory and the sticky returns label very convenient.

I bought the bag for my daughters birthday, it wasn't cheap but I thought after looking online she would really like it. However when it arrived I was very disappointed, one of the labels for one had been tied back on, the other had been cellotaped back together and there was even a black jack sweet left in the bottom of the bag. It was quite apparent this bag had been used then returned by a customer. Sadly I was going to purchase another bag for my mum for xmas, but I don't think this will be the case now.

Ordering process was easy.. delivery was fine. However the boots were faulty. This is the second time I have ordered boots from Clinkards & had to send them back due to faults with the boots. Don't expect this especially from a pair of £139.99 boots. I have returned then them to store & re-ordered another pair .. hopefully they will be fit for purpose. I was offered a pair in store to purchase but one boot had been on display & had marks on it so declined & have had to order online.

I ordered two pairs of boots with a difference in half sizes. The four and a half were too big so I returned them and kept the size four. I was amazed and very disappointed with your Company to find out that I had to pay for the return totally £8.50. I buy mainly online dealing with various retailers and most offer free returns if you spend over £50 my expenditure was £89. If I had realised before I would not have ordered from you.

This is shown in the terms and conditions that are on our website. It is something we regularly review and we will pass your comments on – but at the moment we do ask customers to cover the cost of returns. You can use our collect+ option, which is priced at £4.49. You may find that this cheaper than Royal Mail – particularly if it is for multiple items, as it allows up to 10 kilo for this reduced price, or you can take back to any Charles Clinkard store for up to 35 days for a full refund. I was disappointed with the range of wide fit Gabor shoes in store. I wanted to try and buy. I was offered the service on ordering online, but as I can do this myself at home , I didn’t take up the offer. When they arrived , they were as grumpy as I thought, so I returned them in store. I used a £7 voucher I had to purchase the shoe, which I have now lost, which isn’t fair. I went to John Lewis in Cambridge instead as they have a really wide range of Gabor there. Such a pity .

This is why we offer an instore ordering process, which a lot of our customers do take advantage of.
