Gabor shoes usually fit very well. However, I had to send my chosen pair back as too small. Reading other reviews, I ordered a larger size. I’d advise others to size up.

Only 3 stars as I wouldn't expect to pay for returns. They're one of the few companies to provide Gabor in my size so I don't have much choice. The selection in my size is always limited. Orders always arrive quickly

The shoes are comfortable but the inner sole has come lose.The delivery firm just chucked the shoes over the wall by my back door.Not happy with that. Thank you

The three pair of shoes arrived in good condition. Unfortunately one pair didn't fit well, more my problem than the shoes and had to return. This is where I have a gripe. The return procedure is cumbersome. Unless I was doing something wrong, a return label could only be printed off if using the designated service. Our local shop has been closed so not possible to return through that route. It was therefore more convenient to use a post office and designing return label which was faffy.

Thank you for your review. You can return your unwanted items any way that you wish. The label on our webiste is available to download only if you wish to use it. Royal Mail is fine. Alternatively if you have a Charles Clinkard store anywhere near, you can take there for full refund. I don’t usually order shoes online but have shopped exclusively online for clothes for over a year now. The problem with Charles Clinkard is the cost of delivery and returns. The shoes I ordered were far too big and after paying for delivery and return postage it turned out to be a very expensive “try on” will not be using again. All the clothes retailers I use offer free returns and if I had realised Charles Clinkard don’t I wouldn’t have ordered. Nothing wrong with the speed of delivery and the return admin was handled quickly but I had to return with proof of delivery to receive my refund of the cost of the shoes. Too costly for me I’m afraid!

Thank you for your review. You can take an order for return to any Charles CLinkard store for refund if you have one close to you, and we also have a link on our website for Collect + which is £4.49 for up to 10 kilo in returns. This means that you can send many items back at one low cost. With regard to delivery, we do charge for orders onder £40. If the amount, as your order was, is close to the £40 mark, you could add a polish or laces to bring it up to the £40 and then you would not have to pay any postage. So disappointed. Bought usual size 5 and a half g. I have two pair of hovercraft shoes same size and width which are perfect fit unfortunately Patsy pumps have hurt my feet from day one. Tried wearing them indoors with socks to soften but to no avail. Feel they are too narrow so not true to size. £80 gone to waste. How do you get it right if normal size usually works?

We do allow up to one year for you to return unworn items to us for full refund to allow for the shoes to be tried in the home for fit. In general the service was good. However the size I ordered was too big so I needed to return the shoes. Not so happy having to pay over £11 to return them. The refund was however prompt.

Returned both pairs of boots as even though they were my size 36 they were to big for me. Not Charles Clinkards fault every brand seems to size differently

Very difficult buying shoes online - I ordered two pair of the same style because I didn’t know what size to get. Neither fitted so ended up costing me £11 to return them and ended up with nothing!

We do ask customers to pay towards the returns costs however there are more economical methods you can use: Collectplus is £4.49 for up to 10kg and is ideal for sending multiple pairs or heavier items. You would need access to a printer for this service. You can also return via our stores if one is local to you and we also offer 365 days timescale into which you can return your items unworn and in the original packaging if possible. Ordered some shoes and a handbag. The order was received in two deliveries.Easy to order though incorrect fit of shoe was sent. Contacted Clinkards by telephone who forwarded a return label by email ( on second attempt) . Found the explanation of how I was to receive the correct shoe a little confusing. Had to clarify by email. Received the correct pair within the week and they are fine.

Only one complaint I have is the returns are paid at your own expense and don’t get refunded however I ended up getting my refund for the shoes even though I did want an exchange just unfortunately I had to pay for the returns

Very disappointed receiving the Clarks shoes for school for my son, the shoes came with the laces double knotted done up as if they’ve been worn or tried on. The soles were dirty and dried mud around the sides and back heel. Needed for next day otherwise would have sent back no reply since this email from them! Terrible and won’t order again. £46 so not cheap.

The gold colour appears more like plastic and though it is size 6 (ladies) It seems shorter and tighter then previous similar pairs I have been very satisfied with. Would have preferred proper tan leather.

The speed of service was excellent and also the customer service on the phone was great. However, in the current circumstances where shoes cannot be tried on, I was not happy about having to pay for return postage. My daughter still has no shoes for school as I am not prepared to risk another pair that doesn't fit that I will have to pay to return. We will have to wait until the shops open.

Shoes great but charging people to return items in the middle of a pandemic. Not a great customer service move. Can get the same shoes elsewhere with free returns so won't be using again. Sorry.

I was really pleased to find a pair of shoes exactly the same as a favourite pair I had at a batgsin pricr. Not pleased though at the label stuck into one inner sole shich orovef impisdible to remove. So now I have the bottom half of a paper label in my new shoes.

We understand that the sale sticker being stuck on the insole can be difficult to remove, but this has been found to be the best place currently to position our sale stickers. Our stores recommend using a protector spray or hot soapy water to remove any residue of the sale sticker without damaging the inner sole. All seemed good until the boots arrived, I thought they would be real leather as they had originally been £70, it could have been clearer that they were not leather. On returning them which cost me £4.20 I was refunded just £35.00. Only when I questioned this was I offered my original delivery cost back, If this is my right then surely I should have been given it immediately. I don't think I will be ordering from Charles Clinkard again as I prefer to shop with a company I can trust to be fair.
